Barcelona are reportedly keen to sign one of Liverpool's most consistent performers.
According to the Daily Express:
"Barcelona are considering a surprise move for Nathaniel Clyne. The Spanish club are in the market for an upgrade, and Express Sport understands that Clyne has been discussed as a potential new arrival at the Nou Camp".
Liverpool fans may scoff at this link, but although €28m-rated Clyne isn't that productive in the final third, he's strong, robust, experienced and - for the most part - defensively solid, so it makes sense that he'd be monitored by Europe's biggest clubs.
Glen Johnson to Barcelona - that is hard to believe (!), but Clyne to Barca? I can believe that the Spanish giants are interested.
I doubt it'll happen, though. Barca probably see 'superb' Clyne as a back-up player, but at Liverpool, he's an everpresent, and plays practically every game. Why give that up to sit on the bench?
Granted, I'm sure many players (possibly Clyne included) dream of turning out for Barcelona, but it can't be fun to watch every game from the sidelines.
If Clyne signed for Barcelona, would he be a regular first-teamer?
