After last season's humiliation in the Champions League, Barcelona boss Tito Villanova is reportedly ready to rip-up his squad and start again, which could be good news for Liverpool in the upcoming transfer window.
According to Barcelona-based newspaper Mundo Deportivo, the Catalan club has transfer-listed THIRTEEN players with a combined transfer value of €178m.
Here is the full list of players Barca is willing to sell:
- Victor Valdes (€18m-rated)
- Rafinha (€12m buyout clause)
- Thiago Alcantara (€18m buyout clause)
- Ibrahim Affelay (€8m-rated)
- Jonathan Dos Santos (€30m buyout clause)
- Bojan Krkic (€15m option-to-buy)
- Gerard Deulofeu (€35m buyout clause)
- Isaac Cuenca (€20m buyout clause)
- David Villa (€12m-rated)
- Cristian Tello (€10m buyout clause)
- Alexis Sanchez (€29m-rated)
Little-known youngsters Andreu Fontas, Oier Olazabal, and Marc Bartra are also available.
In the last year, Liverpool have been linked with Dos Santos, Deufoleu, Sanchez, Villa, Krkic, Tello, Affelay, Alcantara, Cuenca and Valdes (!), and the club is currently tying up a deal for ex-Barcelona B attacker Luis Alberto.
Many of these players have huge buyout clauses, but if Barca want to sell, then it's unlikely that these will come into play, and this could mean that there are some (potentially) great deals to be made.
Should Liverpool pursue any of these players? If so, who; where would they fit in, and at whose expense...?
