LFC LEGENDS on Chelsea: "Drop Carroll. Play Suarez and Bellamy..."

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson believes it's a 'good time' for Liverpool to be playing Chelsea, and he thinks Kenny Dalglish's team can win the game, but only if certain changes are made to the starting XI.

Lawro feels that Liverpool need a bit more bite in attack, and he's urged Daglish to be ruthless:

"Chelsea play a high line; the defenders push on, but John Terry has lost even more pace, so I think it's a game where you leave Andy Carroll out and you play Suarez and Bellamy up front.

"I think it will be very open, and Liverpool may switch to a 451. Last year, when they won there, they actually played three at the back.

"I think it's a good time for Liverpool to play Chelsea, but in saying that, they've struggled to get midfield players forward; Adam and Lucas are not those type of players, so I think Kenny is going to change it around a little bit".

Steve Nicol echoed Lawrenson's thoughts on Carroll, and gave his view on how Liverpool might set-up at Stamford Bridge:

"I think andy Carroll will be sitting on the bench for the game; I think Kuyt will come in on the right; I think he [Dalglish] will pull Henderson in alongside Lucas and Charlie Adam, with Downing on the left.

"I don't think there's going to be as many goals as we saw in the Chelsea arsenal game, but I still think there are going to be goals, and I think Liverpool will have goals in them"

I totally agree with Lawro and Nicol: Carroll should be benched for this game, and Bellamy should start as he is in great form at the moment.

We all know that Stewart Downing will start, but my team would be:

------------------------- Reina

Kelly ------------ Agger ------ Skrtel ------------- Enrique

------------------ Lucas ----- Adam

Kuyt ----------------- Henderson ------------------- Bellamy

----------------------- Suarez
