Anfield Alert: 71% of LFC fans reject 'Liverpool' transfer for 'world-class' £30m superstar. Agent confirmed interest

Last week, the Agent of 'world-class' Manchester City star Yaya Toure confirmed that the Ivorian midfielder will consider a transfer to Liverpool this summer, but what to Reds fans think about that possibility?

In January 2016, the Daily Express, claimed Jurgen Klopp was interested in signing Toure, and when asked recently bout the midfielder's future, Toure's agent, Dimitri Seluk, told reporters:

"A move to Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal will be considered, and if an offer [is made] I will negotiate, no problem".

Toure may be interested in a move to Anfield, but Reds fans are not enamored by the prospect. I conducted a poll this week asking fans if Klopp should sign Toure this summer, and a whopping 71% of participants voted NO:

Toure is a robust, experienced winner with proven leadership qualities, but just doesn't have the legs for Klopp's exhausting brand of high intensity pressing, and his declining pace is also an issue.

Plus, Toure is reportedly on £250k-a-week at Man City, and he'd probably have to take a humungous pay cut at Liverpool.

In my view, Toure is like Wayne Rooney: a top player in his time, but clearly in decline, and will most likely end up in China, the USA, or a second tier European club next season.

* Reportedly the subject of two £30m offers from Chinese clubs.
