Anfield MegaDeal? Liverpool determined to sign 'unbelieveable' £40m sensation who loves Man Utd

Liverpool are still keen to sign one of Borussia Dortmund's brightest stars this summer.

Over the last year, Liverpool have been regularly linked with a move for 'unbelievable' attacker Christian Pulisic, with the latest link coming in December, when The Independent claimed:

"Liverpool are set to step up their pursuit of Christian Pulisic now that Philippe Coutinho has been ruled out for up to six weeks".

Soon after, Dortmund director of sport, Michael Zorc, confirmed Liverpool's interest, but advised the Reds to 'save the effort of making an offer'.

Well, last month, Pulisic signed a new contract with Dortmund, but that cuts no ice with Klopp, who is reportedly still intent on bringing the young attacker to Anfield.

According to the Liverpool Echo this week, the Reds are still interested in Pulisic, and plan to make another move for him during the summer transfer window.

In my view, there's no chance of Liverpool signing Pulisic. Dortmund is a fantastic place to develop, and there's no compelling reason for £40m-rated Pulisic leave such a well-run club at his tender age.

Dortmund have also signed some top young players over the last year, including Ousmane Dembele, Emre Mor, and Alexander Isak (another former Liverpool target), and I'm sure Pulisic is excited to be part of the club's new generation.

* Sep 2016: Pulisic admitted that he's a 'big Man Utd fan' and 'loved watching Wayne Rooney'.
