Done Deals: Liverpool 'confirm' late transfers for 'exceptional' £20m powerhouse and 'spectacular' attacker

The transfer window is over, and although Liverpool didn't sign any new players, two players left the club on loan.

In the final hours of the transfer deadline day, Mamadou Sakho and Academy player Jack Dunn seal transfers away.

According to a statement on the official LFC FC website:

"Liverpool can confirm Academy forward Jack Dunn has joined Tranmere Rovers on loan until the end of the season".

Dunn - who, according to his description on the LFC website, is capable of scoring 'spectacular goals' - is now into his fourth loan spell in the last two years, and at the age of 22, it seems unlikely that he's going to make the breakthrough at Anfield. Another LFC statement also confirmed:

"Mamadou Sakho has joined Crystal Palace on loan. The France defender will spend the remainder of the 2016-17 campaign with the Eagles after completing the move on deadline day".

After 6 months of being marginalised by a seemingly grudge-holding Jurgen Klopp, Sakho is finally clear to resume his career, and it'll be interested to see how he performs for Palace.

Sakho is on loan, which means he'll return to Anfield in the summer, but it's clear that he has no future under Klopp, and he'll probably still get sold in the summer. Obviously, I hope he plays well - the better Sakho performs, the more chance Liverpool have of recouping his £20m transfer fee (the fee LFC reportedly demanded from Palace to seal a permanent deal)
