Boss Confirms: 'Powerful' £56m attacker is 'available' to start Liverpool-Man Utd game on Sunday

Bad news for Klopp: Jose Mourinho has confirmed that one of the Premier League's top scorers is fit for Sunday's clash with Liverpool.

Ibrahimovic missed United's last game after picking up an 'illness', but when asked on Wednesday about the Swede's availability for Sunday, Mourinho confirmed:

"Zlatan is ill, but I think no problem for Sunday. He will be fine."

Then, during his pre-match press conference today, Mourinho reiterated:

"Rojo and Zlatan are available. I cannot confirm [my team] with 48 hours to the match, but I think so".

With 24 goals/assists in 28 games this season (including 16 in the Prem), Ibrahimovic - hailed as 'powerful' and 'charismatic' by Jamie Carragher - is on fire this season (as usual), so his inclusion will obviously present a massive threat to Liverpool's chances of winning the game.

At the start of the season, many Liverpool fans (some on this site) wrote Ibrahimovic off, claiming (in ignorance of his past achievements) that he wouldn't cut it in English football. 24 goals/assists in 28 games is a superb achievement for a 35 year old in his first season in English football, and so far, Ibrahimovic has outscored *all* of Liverpool's players.

That said, I obviously hope Ibrahimovic has on off day on Sunday, but it has to be said, after 9 wins in a row, and 12 games unbeaten overall (vs. Liverpool's 3 games without a win), the momentum is, unfortunately, with Jose Mourinho's team.
