Jurgen Klopp is reportedly planning a January move for FK Rostov attacker Sardar Azmoun.
According to The Guardian:
"Liverpool have monitored Azmoun and are considering an offer when the transfer window reopens".
In a recent interview, Azmoun confirmed that he's a 'fan of Real Madrid', but also admitted:
"I'm also in love with English Premier League and it would be a dream for me to play in England."
Some info about Azmoun:
* 21-year old striker. Contract expires: 2018. Spent three years at Rubin Kazan.
* Kazan/Rostov: 33 goals/assists in 87 apps (One every 132 mins). 15 goals in 20 games for Iran's national team.
* Scouting Report (Strengths): "Outstanding dribbling skills, game-reading ability, astonishing control on the ball, superb eye for goal and marvelous finishing power are his main attributes".
* Scouting Report (Weaknesses): "Slender physique does not allow him to get into one-on-one challenges with stronger players. Easily tripped or brought down".
* Oct 2015: Iran boss Carlos Queiroz raved: "He [Azmoun] is world-class. The way he moves the ball is really brilliant and at the level of some of the best centre forwards I have worked with, like Ruud van Nistelrooy".
Alas, it appears that Azmoun has his heart set on Arsenal. In January, he told Four Four Two magazine:
"I have always fancied playing for Arsene Wenger. He is famous for trusting young players and giving them the opportunity to grow. [Arsenal] is where young players become big players”.
If it comes down to a straight choice between Arsenal and Liverpool, can Klopp triumph over Arsene Wenger?
