Anfield MegaDeal? Liverpool reps fly out to watch 'sensational' €40m playmaker. Klopp wants January transfer

By all accounts, Borussia Moenchengladbach (BMG) star Mahmoud Dahoud is one of Liverpool's top transfer targets, and after missing out on the allegedly 'sensational' midfielder over the summer, it looks like Jurgen Klopp is laying the groundwork for another transfer attempt during the January window.

In August, Dahoud's Agent confirmed Liverpool's interest, and insisted that no deal can take place until take season.

Soon after the transfer window closed, the Liverpool Echo claimed:

"Liverpool are planning to follow up their Dahoud interest in future transfer windows".

On Monday, German newspaper Express further claimed:

* Jurgen Klopp still wants €40m-rated Dahoud, and is planning another offer in January.

* Klopp has sent scouts to watch Dahoud play for Germany's U21 team in Finland tonight (Tuesday 6th Sep).

Dahoud refused to sign a new contract over the summer, and that appears to rankle with BMG Coach Andre Schubert, who has restricted the 21-year old to just one start so far this season.

When asked this week about Mahmoud's lack of game time, Schubert bluntly retorted:

"At the moment, there are other better options than Mo."

If Klopp signs Mahmoud, whose place in midfield is most likely to come under threat?
