Anfield Alert: 'Amazing' €73m attacker responds to Liverpool rumours; transfer 'discussed' with Madrid star

Another day, another player urging Philippe Coutinho to quut Liverpool, and this time, it's Atletico Madrid star Filipe Luis doing the (quasi) tapping-up.

In recently months, Ronaldinho, Neymar, David Luiz, and Dani Alves have all urged Coutinho to quit Anfield, and speaking to reporters this week, Luis followed their lead, and admitted that he'd like to see the Brazilian sign for Atletico:

"Coutinho is amazing and can make the difference. We discussed that he can play for top Champions League sides. He’d be welcomed at Atletico".

PSG have reportedly made a pitiful £23m bid for Coutinho (who, according to the CIES Football Observatory, is worth €73m), and when asked on Thursday about the offer, he told reporters:

“As far as I know, there’s no offer. This subject is for my representatives.”

This is a stark contrast to Coutinho's last public statement on his future. When linked with Barcelona back in February, he emphatically declared:

"I am not looking ahead. Being at Liverpool is a dream come true. I have years left on my contract that I only renewed last year. I am very happy and my focus is on helping Liverpool".

This time, there's no affirmation of his commitment to Liverpool, and Coutinho (indirectly) suggests that he's amenable to a possible transfer.

Coutinho is gone. The long goodbye started twelve months ago, and it's just a matter of time before he follows Luis Suarez to one of the world's top clubs. And who can blame him?
