Transfer Horror: Reds hero would 'love to see' £20m Man Utd star at LFC. *Vomit*

Classless Manchester United thug Wayne Rooney has put in a transfer request at Old Trafford, and it would be sublime to see him leave the Premier League and do his huffing and puffing somewhere else in Europe. If there's one player whose negative behaviour irks me more than Luis Suarez, it's Rooney, and the idea of him ever playing for Liverpool makes me feel sick to the stomach. Not all Reds fans feels the same, and former Anfield defender Glen Hysen has admitted he would love to see Rooney at Anfield.

During an interview with Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet last night, Hysen - who played an integral role in Liverpool's 1989-90 league winning side - observed:

"Purely in football terms, I would love to see him at Liverpool, but it would be impossible. Considering all the circumstances, and the fact he went from Everton to Manchester United, it would never go. Plus, it would not be economically feasible"

£20m-rated Rooney has proved time and time again that he has no concept of sportsmanship, class, humility, loyalty or fair play, yet I'm sure there are still masses of LFC fans who would still have him at Anfield purely because he's a good footballer.

Short of re-signing El Hadji Diouf, I can't think of anything worse than seeing Rooney in a Liverpool shirt, and if that deal ever happened, I'd probably stop supporting the club, as it would be the final nail in the coffin of the LFC I grew up loving.

Rooney handed in a transfer request a few days ago, mirroring the disrespect and ignorance he showed in 2010 when he threatened to leave Old Trafford, and questioned Man United's ambition (!) To be honest, I'm surprised Ferguson didn't just dump him there and then.

Europe's top clubs don't seem to be interested, and when asked last night whether Bayern Munich are interested in signing Rooney, Sporting Director Mathias Sammer delivered the following withering assessment:

"I don't know what Rooney would bring to the Bundesliga. He's not on the agenda. No, no. Absolutely not"

Rooney embodies everything that's wrong with the modern footballer: he's selfish, greedy, and only it it for himself, and what football can do for *him*, and I'm sure Sammer - and Bayern - see that.

Rooney at Anfield? It's the stuff of nightmares...

  1. Not too worried. He won't be coming here.

I am somewhat fascinated (for lack of a better term) that he's the only one you hate more than Suarez.

Not to say I'm surprised, but there are plenty of players who do bad things (Huth, Olsson, Bale, Terry, Charlie Adam, the rest of the Stoke team, etc.).

Luis Suarez isn't the only rotten apple of the bunch. That's not to justify his bad actions, but considering he's an LFC player, I'm just surprised that he's number 2 on your list behind only Rooney.

  2. all those players are topped by the nutter with the putter (IMO)

  3. I only dislike Suarez in a football sense, not in a personal manner. I'm sure in real life he's a nice guy. I don't know him personally, so I can't judge him personally. I dislike the negative stuff he does as an LFC player, i.e. the football related stuff.

I'd take Suarez over Rooney every day of the week.

  4. But he had such a great goal scoring celebration!

  5. We won't be signing him, I'm pretty sure of that. And glad about it, too. And I can't see Bayern signing him. Surely they want to make their team stronger. They wouldn't do that by signing Rooney, who is on my list of players I can't stand. Suaréz, though, is not on that list, even though he isn't a role model.

    ReplyDelete
  6. You dislike Suaréz in a football sense? Now, that is interesting. I find he is a very talented player, indeed. He lacks quite a bit of self-control, though, but his football abilities should be rather worshipped than disliked, methinks.

  7. the only destiny i could see suarez to be sold is the PD (Atletico) or any new club of Mancini - maybe Napoli or something like that, as Mancini rates him really really high...
If we get 40m for suarez theres no doubt we should cash in without the blink of an eye

  8. Who needs a granny sucker, only the devil lol

    ReplyDelete
  9. god i would hate your site if it ever got personal for you and suarez lol;-)

  10. i don,t think many lfc fans would be happy either after the way hes acted over the years

  11. who john daley or tiger woods

  12. I thinnk what jamie wants to say is, he hates him in sense of damaging our club, being on the pitch representing us, making people all over the world hate him and us. Its a shame our players cant represent themselfes like our club would like them to do. thats what he hates about him...
Peolpe often compare Suarez with Balotelli or Arnautovic - but hes not the same, i think he could be a pretty cool guy in real life, he has a family a child and im sure hes absolutely faithful - while balotelli loves to make the press/media angry and laugh about him, Suarez would love outside of the spotlight at least one day. He doesnt want someone people talk of, curse at him etc, there are those scadal players like Balotelli, Bellamy etc who love that...
His misbehaviour on the pitch is absolutely reckless and injustifiable, but IMO he acts because of his emotions, his will to fight for each point, maybe even his instinct...
Please note im absolutely not defending suarez, what he did to our club was absolutely irresponsible, and theres no reason to support him for the stuff he did in recent years...

  13. Clearly, I mean the negative things he does on the football field.

  14. rooney would team up well with allen i always founf them very entertaining on their previous outings shreik the 1st one was the best

    ReplyDelete
  15. Everton --> ManU --> Liverpool
He would be a dead man lol

    ReplyDelete
  16. People all over the world hate him? Sure, but people all over the world hate other players, too. Balotelli, CR7, Beckham, you name them. I'd like to think that these three are much more hated than Suaréz, well, except in Ghana, of course. I obviously speak to many people who don't follow English football much, too, and I haven't come across one who even knew about Suaréz biting that Chelsea player. The incident was mentioned in the media over here, but it was rather like a side-note than the main headline.

Just to make that clear, I do not want to defend Suaréz's sometimes silly behaviour on the football pitch (diving, arguing, biting). I prefer him over Arnautovic, who isn't even a great player, Balotelli, Beckham, CR and others who are basically arrogant tw@ts. Suaréz seems to be a pretty much down to earth guy, with a strange temper and some mental issues, though. Lets hope the club psychologist can sort that out.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Guess these are things that should have nothing to do with football, then. And I agree on that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. the three players i hate the most are beckham, because i cannot stand the hype or his wife, vinny jones because he thought he was the hardest player ever to walk the earth souness would have had him crying like a baby, and diouf because he was just a twat

    ReplyDelete
  19. goody lets sign him quick make sure we insure him well lol

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sure mate, there are others that are hated more, and i would take him over Ballotelli´s, CR7´s and as you said especially over all these pseudo stars like Arnautovic... Youre right, in my homecountry it wasnt a big headline either, but people know him because of these incidiences, because of his bad behaviour - and this is undoubtedly damaging our club.

The same goes for me, Im not from the UK (but i think you and i had that conversation about where were comming from once before a few months ago), and if i talk to my friends (who mostly only follow Bundesliga) they are detesting him for his actions. IMO its a bad thing to have a player like him representing your team, as hes international one of the best known liverpool players (except gerrad of course). Nethertheless and as you already said hes a wonderfull player, and hopefully a psychologist can help him to sort out his bad manners on the pitch, and suarez turns our to be an even better player for us!

  21. The mood at a derby would remid me of those when barca played real, just after Luis figo joined them...

    ReplyDelete
  22. that's enough humor for one day

    ReplyDelete
  23. I came across a few people who detested Suaréz for that hand-ball against Ghana, but at the same time they would be happy if one of their players did the same thing in an important match for their team. Most people I come across don't know about Suaréz biting another player, twice, or the Evra saga. If they don't follow the Prem, they tend to not knowing him at all, as we are not in the Champions League. Be prepared for some "wows" from those who detest him now, because his footballing ability is a joy to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I wasn't talking about Suaréz being sold (40m would not be enough, methinks), but Rooney. Who would want or need him?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jason you're so right. Have you noticed the media haven't highlighted his mediocre season fact is RVP has carried the mancs. Also he rarely makes a difference in international tournaments!

    ReplyDelete
  26. we always do it with english players as rafa would say fact

    ReplyDelete
  27. JOHN TERRY would be the worst player to ever wear a LFC shirt for me.
Taking a ENGLAND press conference when he wasn't even captain, telling the media the players aren't comfortable with the system played.
Backstabbing a team mate (WAYNE BRIDGE).
Undermining AVRAM GRANT by stepping in front of him taking a team talk in the center circle for all to see in the CL final.
The ANTON FERDINAND issue.Using his influence to get managers sacked. He seems to think that your role as captain means running the club and doing whatever you want.Maybe years of MOURINHO calling himself special has got in TERRY's head.I can't come up with a footballer that's so out of sync with reality. He's a good solid defender not a manager.
    WAYNE ROONEY, never gonna happen!

    ReplyDelete
  28. me nana,s getting on and pretty desperate

    ReplyDelete
  29. terry never going to sign under fsg ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  30. its the opposite here, my everyone i talk to knows about suarez and his "special moments"... Maybe not that detailed as we do but they still do...
The Ghana game - well thats another story IMO, i would have done the same if i had been in his position as we all know it was a stalemate situation for him - either loosing the game or giving the team a chance to make the twist, but sacrifice yourself... Still feel for the poor Ghana fans..
100% agree with you, hes a joy to watch and a brilliant footballer, someone who you cant compare to any other player on the world, cause in my opinion the way he´s playing the way he´s dribbling and his presence is unique!

    ReplyDelete
  31. first time im glad, fsg only want the potential ones ;)

    ReplyDelete
  32. and the way he puts everything on the line for lfc every game could you imagine him in the semi,s of the champions league one booking away from the final ,and 4/0 up with 20minutes to go you would have to take him off(and he would defo not be happy)but if you did not he would probaby get booked because he cannot help but try 100%

    ReplyDelete
  33. John terry, Lampard, Rooney, Cole....are some of the players I wish played for LFC.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Vinny jones v jimmy case, jimmy would have smashed him :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. lol vinny would not have even come out to play

    ReplyDelete
  36. lampard, cole yes the other two not for me

  37. In a match while ago Liverpool didnt get a decision off the linesman and Suarez was so frustrated he swung his arms about like a child so hard that he fell to the ground. It was hilarious, but I thought it was brilliant. Never knock a tryer.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i would rather have 11 suarez,s than 11 men just happy to get their pay check,he acts like a child because he still loves the game rather than the fame and money that comes with it

    ReplyDelete
  39. why would utd sell rooney to us? why would he come to his rivals? why would he go to a club 6 positions lower? , why would he half his wages? , why would rodgers want him when he plays same role as suarez? , why would fans want him ?, why would owners pay 20m for a fat old guy? , , why would we want shrek ? , id rather have carroll or heskey and that is saying something . Anyway rubbish aside i think we should look at benteke make him eriksen and williams our number one targets .

    ReplyDelete
  40. I would rather we resigned Voronin!!

Quite surprised that Joey Barton hasn't made it onto the list of players less welcome than Rooney! The guy makes me sick with his foul play on the field, Scumbag actions off it and his brutish carry on on twitter, most recently highlighted by his spat with Victor Moses!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Why not> get him. I would like to see him score against the Mancs and Everton.
The day Moyes walked in he knew his days were numbered.

    ReplyDelete
  42. He is a thug, tis true indeed. But could you imagine him lining up with Gerard, Coutinho, Sturridge, & Suarez? That combo of youth and experience, and goal scoring ability? As much as I hate that other team, and that other city in general. I have to say, I wouldn't mind having him.

That said, he would probably suck, as Karma repaying us for giving them Michael Owen when he was on the down hill.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Steve MacMahon DID have him crying like a baby. I dsilike Savage more, though. At least VJ took it as well as gave it. Savage was dirty and rolled around like he'd been shot if anyone gave it back.
Two more I hate? Alan Shearer - another dirty f*ck*r who should have got a lengthy ban for stampning on Neil Lennon in 96 and Joe Hart because he's nowhere near as good as he thinks he is... oh, and Carlos Tevez - been here 7 years and still doesn't speak English, lazy c*nt.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thats the positive aspect about suarez, hes passionate and his attitude is generally right... He just loves football but cant handle the emotions and the pressure down on the pitch...

    ReplyDelete
  45. ANOTHER ANNOYING TITLE FROM THIS WEBSITE,

I WISH YOU CHOKE ON YER VOMIT AND DIIIE

  46. No chance... he will go to a CL team...

  47. Wow Jamie, I knew you weren't a Suarez fan, but as a Liverpool fan and someone that runs a site like this that is open to the world, I find it astounding that you would make a statement about loathing a player that brings so much to the club you support. To say you loathe your own player is slightly over the top don't you think?

    ReplyDelete
  48. No, I don't think so. I support the club, not the individual, and Suarez does some loathsome things on the field, which reflect badly on LFC. Again, I stress, I dislike his behaviour in his capacity as a footballer; it has nothing to do with Suarez personally.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Hehe, made me laugh Terry tonight. John Terry is at it his trophy-grabbing best once again

    ReplyDelete
  50. I think there needs to be a point made about a players actions and how it affects the overall view of the club.

Suarez has gotten into trouble significantly several times, and I feel like the negativity is focused more on Suarez than on the club itself.

In fact, with the Evra incident, I didn't get the feeling that people were upset with LFC because Suarez was found guilty.

I got the feeling that people were upset with LFC because they were so brazen with the handling of the situation (tee shirts, KK press conferences, etc.). That mishandling is not on Suarez. That's on the club.

When someone talks to me about Suarez, the question isn't, "how on earth can LFC still have someone like that on the team". The question is: "how on earth does that guy keep doing bad/stupid things". The blame for Suarez's actions falls on Suarez. He's an adult.

For instance, when Bale dives for Spurs, people blame Bale, not the club.

That's why Stoke has the reputation it does. Because it has multiple players who play a very tough, aggressive, borderline dirty style of play. If it was only Huth with that style, then people would focus primarily on him.

Perhaps I'm off here, but I'm curious to know what others think.

    ReplyDelete
  51. kanwar u wanker,

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ridiculous! His monthly salary is enough to buy a decent young player from elsewhere around the globe. I don't think LFC is ready to destroy the wage structure because of him.

    ReplyDelete
  53. There's no reason to support him? How about the fact that he tore Man Utd apart the season he arrived and the fact that he scored 30 goals for us this season? I think they are just two reasons to support him. Also the fact that everything he has done, maybe bar the biting incident, which by the way, there was no evidence on Ivanovic's arm of a bite or the ref would have sent Suarez off then and there, he has done to help his team win. When Gus Poyet signed for Chelsea, he was warned and educated that the things that were acceptable in the Uruguayan league were not acceptable in the Premier League, something Suarez was not given initially and only through Rodgers has he been toning down his behaviour on a whole, to suit the Premier League.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Suarez's "strange temper and some mental issues" are all about the fighting spirit he grew up in in Uruguay, where you pretty much have to do this to succeed.

    ReplyDelete
  55. To be fair to Jason, and I don't agree much with what he says, but he is not actually knocking Suarez here, he is basically saying that he lives to play football and he is a Liverpool player and that everything he does on the pitch is to help Liverpool succeed. Some may not agree with this, but whether you love him or loathe him, you cannot doubt his passion and drive and commitment to the cause.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You say two wingers and you put Eriksen in that pile and an attacking player and put Mkhitaryan in that pile without realising that they both are attacking midfielders. Also, I agree we should sell Carroll, Spearing and Pacheco, but not Downing, Borini or Skrtel. Borini has had a tough season because he's had two long term injuries, he hasn't had the chance to fail or succeed, Downing has been one of our top performers of 2013 and although Skrtel is out of favour at the moment, selling him isn't the answer. Carroll, Spearing and Pacheco aren't squad players, Downing, Borini and Skrtel are. We need squad players. Football is not about having a strong 11, it's about having a strong squad.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Who though, says footballers, like any sportspeople, have to be role models? This is something the media have put on them, the media seem to forget they are people and like you or me, are not perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Or Luis Enrique went the other way.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Which Cole are you talking about? Andy Cole? Absolutely. Joe Cole? Already did, if you can call it that. Carlton Cole? No thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Rooney a fat old guy? And then you say we should make Ashley Williams our number one target? Ashley Williams who isn't exactly skin and bones either and who is a year older than Rooney? That's hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  61. We didn't give him Michael Owen. Michael Owen went to Real Madrid and then to Newcastle before he went to Man Utd.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yep, you're right, he does do some loathsome things on the pitch, like scoring 30 goals for the season. Bad bad Suarez.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ferguson wouldn't allow it anyway. Just because Ferguson isn't the manager anymore, doesn't mean he isn't going to be a big part of Man Utd and their dealings.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Erm, well, fighting spirit is all well, but biting an opponent, give me a break. Do you really want to tell me that you have to bite your opponent if you grow up in Uruguay and want to succeed?

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think it is more of a philosophical thing. Footballers (and film stars and so on) are seen by millions, all of the time (that is down to the media). Their behaviour may or may not be emulated by younger people, who see them as their idols. A responsible person would try to do his or her utmost to lead by example in such a situation. Just like average people don't cross the road when the traffic lights are red and children are watching.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Hi Gaz, gotta say that I'm in agreement with your definite sales although I think Downing and Skrtel both need to go too if the price is right, 6m+ and 14m+ respectively.
I think quite a few players need to come in and these sales will be required.
Ultimately these sales would go toward adding squad players too who may step up with potential (the potential Skrtel and Downing dont possess at their age).
I'd also say the time has come for Coates and Assaidi too ...5m+ and 2m+ maybe?
I like the fact that people are now not jumping on the sell Borini bandwagon as although he hasn't really impressed me he has had injuries and looks to have the desire we need. Add Allen to that equation too.
One player I have been impressed with through sightings here and there and also professional opinions is the French LB Digne. This would then add another player to the squad to replace the talented but heartless Downing, Enrique.
With all the speculation about I now just need signings as some of the stuff made up now isn't even readable or believable!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Haha, mines also on the lookout for a toyboy but has the advantage of being blind lol!

    ReplyDelete
  68. ...more of a mandatory requirement when Shrek is involved!

    ReplyDelete
  69. One thing I've learned reading many a comment on these forums, Jason Carr grew up eating nothing but paint chippings.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Rooney would be a great signing for Liverpool. He has all the attributes and would be an immense replacement for Steven Gerrard. Scouser born n bred and would understand what it means to wear the red shirt.
Dont forget that some of our best players all supported Everton as kids.
Okay so he has played for Everton and the sc*m but if he was to sign, all would be forgiven.
Would also stick two fingers up at Moyes and Fergie!

    ReplyDelete
  71. Overrated, fat, and stupid. If we haven't learnt our lesson from Charlie Adam, then there's no hope for us.

    ReplyDelete
  72. That makes no sense whatsoever. In footballing sense Suarez is a genius with the ball at his feet. In a personal sense his mental attitude needs adjusting. Off the pitch away from football I am sure he is a good man and father and husband. But imagine an attack of Suarez, Sturridge and Rooney...

    ReplyDelete
  73. Thats what I was saying. I loved it when I saw he had so much passion.
