Since Liverpool-Kop.com's launch in 2007, thousands of passionate and knowledgable Reds fans have added tremendous value to the site with their intelligent and thoughtful opinions about the club. For me, commentors are a massively important part of the site, and like many other visitors, I love reading everyone's views and engaging in debate with other fans. As such, it's time to start rewarding the site's visitors a little more often, and I'll start with handing out a £50 Amazon voucher to the top Commentor of 2012.
There are so many fantastic posters on the site that it would be impossible to pick a winner based purely on quality, so I've used post-count as the one of the criteria, along with post quality.
So, without further ado, the winner is...
Original Chan. (Sorry Jason!)
OC is not only the most prolific commentor of 2012 (nearly 2000 comments for the year), he is also one of the most knowledgeable posters on the site. Additionally, he is always civil when expressive his views, and, importantly, he is always respectful to other posters, and never resorts to name-calling or other playground tactics.
OC will receive a £50 Amazon voucher as a small token of my appreciation for the time and effort he's put into posting on the site. (It's already been sent, so if you're reading this OC, check your email!)
The most prolific posters for 2012:
- OriginalChan - 1870 comments
- anteater71 - 1122
- Jason Carr - 847
- Gano1 - 609
- j75j - 592
- gilstrap - 585
- Mitzsu - 555
- Pastor of Muppets - 519
- Jay - 502
- rubyrm - 468
- BillyDeane09 - 409
- Theycallmemrburt - 399
- FdotM - 383
- Gary352 - 370
- JayOne - 369
- Titi_Camara - 335
- Tornike Khomeriki - 316
I wish I could reward all the site's regular posters, but alas, it's just not feasible. Going forward, there will, however, be a prize/s at the end of each month for top commentors on the site (though it should be noted that it's not just about quantity, so posting endless one-line posts to pad your comment count will not work!)
Thanks everyone! And thank you to everyone else who comments on the site - it's much appreciated, and long may it continue.

Congrats! ;)
ReplyDeleteI used to enjoy this site, but standards are falling ! No reflection on the winner whose comments are worthy of the award, but there are unfortunately an increasing number of semi illiterates contributing who seem more interested in quantity than quality !

ReplyDeleteJaime - how about an article about the expected horrible month we're about to have? Manure(with webb), Mancs, Arse, and WBA and Norwich.
ReplyDeleteI can't see us getting more than 6 points there. Our only hope is that the gunners will show the bad side of their inconsistency..
Thanks guys, especially as it takes two at least to debate and of course, JK. Apologies for any toes I may have stepped on throughout my time on the site. Heres to another year of Liverpool-Kop
ReplyDeleteWell done Original Chan, I have lurked for longer than I have posted and your comments have always stood out as well informed, well reasoned and respectful.

ReplyDeleteCongrats Chan! And well done Jamie for a wonderful site. Bring on 2013!
ReplyDeleteYou're right, it does take two to argue. So seeing as you have double the post of the number two it's safe to say you just argue with anyone given the chance :-) Congratulations on being an argumentative so and so ;-)
