'Liverpool are interested' - Agent confirms Reds offer for £7m Bundesliga star

The Agent of Stuttgart's star Zdravko Kuzmanovic claims that Liverpool are interested in signing the Serbian midfielder.

Speaking to fcinternews last night, Kuzmanovic's Agent, Marko Naletilic, revealed that several clubs had put in offers for the 25 year old:

"Inter Milan, Liverpool, Valencia and Olympique Marseille are interested.

"The Inter offer is the one that most fascinated Kuzmanovic but other outfits offered more money.

"I am in Germany and I'm dealing with Stuttgart over the Zdravko transfer, there are still some details to discuss. I don't know yet if the player will leave now or in June. Today will be a decisive day."

Kuzmanovic - who cost Stuttgart £7m - has confirmed that there are offers on the table, but he appears to favour a move to Inter Milan. He said:

"I have received offers from many teams. I heard about Inter, and I have asked my agent Marko about the deal. For me it is a very strong emotion, it is a great team, and an incredible opportunity for my career"

Kuzmanovic is expected to sign for Inter before today's transfer deadline, but with all the twists and turns that usually occur as the deadline approaches, you never know what might happen.

Whatever happens, it's interesting to see that Liverpool are still trying to sign more central midfielders, which suggests that Brendan Rodgers is not entirely happy with his current options. The other alternative is that the Reds are just trying to make up the numbers; Coutinho has replaced Cole in the squad, and the club possibly earmarked Kuzmanovic to replace Sahin.

  1. maybe he isn't happy with what he has and maybe these are replacements for those departed, but we need defenders!!!!!!!

  2. I don't know the player but we need a player to challenge Lucas for his spot and put pressure on him to perform every game.

  3. This rumour had already appeared on the web before the deal for Coutinho was done. Don't think that we are in for him anymore. As Rodgers has said, there probably won't be any more signings today.
Anyway, I don't even think this rumour is genuine. Seems like the player's agent tries to squeeze a better contract out of Inter. Liverpool always seems to be a good name to be thrown in their as a bargaining tactic.

  4. In short, Agent says all big clubs he has ever heard of are interested in his player. Wow! Breaking news!

  5. We need a left back and a defensive midfielder and another striker. I don't know about you but  i would prefer it if Johnson went bk to being a right bk, as Wisdom just can't hack it in that position. He is a major week link in our defence. As it put's more unnecessary pressure on our centre backs.

Kelly should be back soon though... and what happened to Pinky Aka Flanagan!?!?! I think he woulda done a better job than Robinson the other day...

  8.  I think robinson like coatey have the talent but they need more game time and can't be just sitting there in the dug outs. Every match should have some 1-3 squad rotation policy IMHO

  9. Unbelievable comment...... he is 19 learning his trade and is a good defender!

  10. Is he 6ft plus, very athletic, good on the ball and loves a tackle? No, then we don't want him.

  11. I agree... Coady also needs a go. Oldham would have been the perfect game for Coady :(

I think Pinky needs his return too! He's had alot of senior games, but as of yet unused by BR. Why?

  12. imo wisdom will be a future england player hes young strong and fast and will undoubtabley improve given time, the only downside as i see it is we also have kelly, who will also play for england imo,,,who plays right back and who moves to another position is the problem

  13. I posted the story to highlight that the Reds (allegedly) put in an offer, not to suggest he might be joining.

  14. We've got Shelvey to cover Gerrard, Allen to cover Lucas but no one to cover Henderson who is fast becoming indispensable. Question is, would a similar player be willing to warm the bench? Closest player to Henderson I can think of is Miller, full of graft and there essentially to force errors and win possession back up top in support of the forwards.

  15. sorry m8 i thought i read yesterday that he was off to milan.not trying to put the article down,do you think we will sign anyone else,i don,t would like to think we will but the way we drag our heels it will have to be someone who we have already made contact with imo

  16. Doubt we will sign anyone else today. Even if we do, it'd probably be another assaidi or sahin to be let go in the summer. Even that thing about being able to sign ince in the summer is fishy - blackpool apparently have the option to extend his contract and they're likely to do so given his form so how do we expect to go in then and get a better price when we can't do it now.

  17. We have been easily overrun in midfield because Lucas has not been up to scratch after coming back from injury, and Allen is not good enough cover for Lucas. This is an area which needed strengthening but have been sorely left unattended since last season .

  18. Yep , ive noticed that a lot of agents out there seem to bandy our namr about, were either looking at a hell of a lot of players or maybe as a result of the ridiculous agents fees weve paid in the past were seen as a soft touch club to just throw in the mix when negotiating

  19. someone else will snap ince up in the summer imo

  20. To be fair, the harrying and pressing is not a 1 man job, but I fully agree Allen pales by far, firstly because of his positioning, secondly because of his movement and thirdly because he is too easily bullied off the ball.

However, our best bet at a defensive mid for now if we discount these 2 would be Coady, who is untried. I like the idea of Coady though, because he can play both in midfield as well as centreback, which is actually ideal for Rodgers' system. Of course, this is considering if we need Gerrard or Shelvey to drive the play and orchestrate attacks or Henderson to make everything work.

  21. I think i can help you clear things up. They both suck. Coates and Robinson should be playing in league 2 so they can brush up on their game. They are not ready for this level. The money realized from selling both of them can be applied to bringing other more talented individuals.

  22. Currently from the money we would realize selling them, we could buy everyone at Anfield a pint. Maybe even throw a packet of crisps in, too :-)

  23. Allen 15mil is a joke

  24. Wisdom will definitely make the grade. At 19 he is already ridiculously strong, has good timing at interceptions, has pace, can head the ball.......
Granted, he makes mistakes, but he'll learn from them, no doubt.
And he is seriously committed. A passionate player that will make us proud imo.
