'LFC want me!' - £5m La Liga goalscorer confirms Liverpool transfer interest

Liverpool's top priority in January is to sign at least one new striker, and Real Mallorca goalscoer Tomer Hemed has now confirmed that the Reds are definitely interested in bringing him to Anfield.

Speaking to the Jewish Chronicle today, Hemed - who has scored 6 goals in 8 La Liga this season - said:

"I know that I am an option being considered by Liverpool to strengthen their squad and it is very flattering.

"To the best of my knowledge there have been no official contacts. I'm trying not to think too much about this at the moment."

Liverpool have been strongly linked with a move for Hemed over the last two weeks, and earlier this week, the Israeli International's agent, Max Meltzer, confirmed that a number of Premier League clubs are tracking him. He said:

"Tomer is in exceptional form in La Liga and for his national team and naturally several Premier League clubs are tracking him," Meltzer told skysports.com.

"One or two clubs may be disappointed they didn't go all out in the summer to get him as his value continues to increase.

"He is a top professional, focused on his role at Real Mallorca and he won't be distracted by the speculation. If and when he has any decisions to make he will make them at that point."

  3. We also want Messi and Ronaldo

Remember Ronny Rosenthal?....Think Rosenthal and you'll get the idea about this character.

  4. How is he going to get a game ahead of the 200 other players pointlessly blogged about on here in the last week??

  5. My comments have been removed from other posts for asking the relevant question "source", would that be considered Journalistic cheating. Surely not, JK hates cheaters.
