Alex Ferguson admitted yesterday that Manchester United were 'very poor' against Liverpool in last Sunday's clash at Anfield, and according to former Reds defender Steve Nicol, Portuguese winger Nani was one of the players most culpable for United's dire performance.
Discussing the Liverpool-Man Utd game last night, Nicol - who won a 'player of the year award' in 1989 - expressed his surprise that Ferguson 'surrendered the midfield', and suggested that many of the performances of United's players were below par. He observed:
"Some of the performances for Man United were incredibly bad.
"I've never seen a professional player at that level perform the way Nani did. He was lucky he wasn't taken off before half time, that's how bad this guy played.
"Kagawa was also invisible, but none of it matters because United won the game, and points are what matter"
Irrespective of how poor United were on the day, the fact still remains they came away with all three points. History will not remember the dodgy refereeing decisions, it will only record the result: another Liverpool defeat.
To be fair, Nicol is clearly exaggerating when he suggests that he's never seen a Premier League player at the top level perform as badly as Nani. Stewart Downing and Andy Carroll were equally bad at times last season, and let's not forget the likes of Erik Meijer, Salif Diao, and Sean Dundee (!)

The premeditated crime which was orchestrated by the FA and executed by Mark Halsey on the 23rd of September 2012 was confirmed to me last night by a very good friend of mine who used to be an international referee in the past and now he is arbitration’s professor. The analysis was mainly focused on six specific infringements:
ReplyDelete1. On the 32nd minute of the game a foul was committed on Raheem Sterling by ManU’s number 3 player. The professor said it should have been a red card on the number 3 player!
2. On the 39th minute of the game both players – Shelvey and Evans – tried to win the ball by extending their feet sideways with no intention to hurt each other. The professor said no card should have been given to each player. On the specific infringement Shelvey was sent off with a red card!
3. On the 48th minute of the game a foul was committed on Steven Gerrard by ManU’s number 7 player. The professor said it should have been a yellow card on the number 7 player.
4. On the 57th minute of the game Luis Suarez was not allowed to move on in the penalty area of ManU as Evans’ leg remained extended. The professor emphasized that a penalty should have been awarded!
5. On the 76th minute of the game Valencia was found on the grass and Mark Halsey awarded a penalty for ManU. The professor emphasized that a penalty should have never been awarded!
6. When Shelvey was punished with a red card on the 39th minute and while he was walking away, MANU’S MANAGER TURNED AND SCOFFED SHELVEY WITH LAUGHTER!
7. The FA is accountable and must further investigate the specific incident. Managers who behave in this unacceptable manner then they should not be allowed to be coaching a team! If the managers do not foster the motto RESPECT and are not behaving in an ethical way how do they expect the players to do so?
8. Mark Halsey immediately and with no further hesitation must take fully responsibility of his “criminal” arbitration and retire.
9. LFC’s hierarchy must take immediate actions and declare Phil Dowd, Andre Marriner, Howard Webb, and Mark Halsey as undesirables to be hissing LFC’s game.
10. The LFC’s fans should not allow further “criminal” arbitrations from referees and send clear and loud messages to both FA and referees that they must RESPECT LFC’s history in English Football!
Well you're oncourse for religation this season, so dont worry! next season you wont have to put up with these 'unfair' premiership refs!
ReplyDeleteWhoever posteed the above....slow-mo replays prove all the ref descisions were correct. Even Mark Lawresson agrees
ReplyDeleteI believe the referees should respect THE RULES OF THE GAME when the rule says to punish LFC opposing teams. That is where those named above have failed on numerous ocassions.
ReplyDeleteTypical delusional LFC fans. Do you even hear yourselves? do you know what you sound like? There is no conspiracy against you as you are no threat to anybody, what are people trying to prevent? you getting into the top ten?
ReplyDeleteThe most hilarious and delusional post I have ever read...
ReplyDeleteofcourse the new style is better .... ok we have had a rough time collecting points but rodgers and all of lfc new it wasnt going to happen over night.
ReplyDeleterodgers said he would make it hard for teams to come to anfield and play.. i see exactly that ..
allen is amazing to watch and only because he knows what rodgers wants.. imo i think once the whole of the squad addapt to this philosophy we going to be awesome to watch n im sure we will get the desearved points..
still believe sir fergie is too powerful to be in the game lets face it the refs are scared to high hell of him ... hence the bad decisions..
but we was the better team and all the mancs can gloat about 3 points but they know it was alot better to be a lfc fan that day as we turned up n played ..
carry on thinking i will forget about the refs decision and just remember the loss ... but ever since i became a lfc fan ( that very day bruce let 3 goals in ) and we turned it into a 3-3 thriller i have known fergies power over refs and imo the reason to there success....
thousands of decisions since that day and im sure only 3 of em went our way thanks to vidic lol..
i believe we are going in the right direction under rodgers n i have the patients all because for the first time in about 7 years we are actually playing good footy and not the long ball ( watching paint dry )
that is all YNWA
I find your comments laughable and from what Institution is this nutty professor in.
ReplyDeleteHow can you make point 8 and point 10, you need to wake up and smell the coffee. Should you also lock up and throw away the key for the linesman who disallowed two Everton goals last week when he should not of. Halsey is an honest man and as honest a ref as there is, he made the decisions how he saw them and in the eyes of Liverpool supporters they were wrong. Stop going on about it the game is history worry about the next game.
What goes round comes around, Fellaini got a perfectly good goal disallowed then got one given when he used his elbow to send the ball to Anichebe. No one even the Swansea players noticed that as it was done in a flash. All ref decisions are done instantly they do not get to refer it to a TV ref like in cricket to reverse the decision. To go and on and on about it is not good for the club. The game is over all you are doing is make Liverpudlians look like whingers and whiners
And to say he is a criminal is beyond belief almost as bad as some of those twitter posts.
Was Nani not taken off at half-time? I thought he was. No?
ReplyDeleteWe all know this game wasn`t marshalled correctly, and a letter off LFC`s Board too the FA, about these injustices will be scoffed upon. Dont you realise everybody wants us too fail, alls we can do is prove the haters wrong, and start picking up points, by scoring goals. RedMan4Life JFT96 may they RIP.
ReplyDeleteand i forgot to say before i saw that delusional post, is Nani was awful and Utd want to sell him but he wants crazy money for a player of his ability and thats why the Russian deal was blocked.
ReplyDeleteA fine point, well made. You've convinced me - it's United for me from now on.
ReplyDeleteSee ya suckers! Wouldn't wanna BE ya!
Ah well THEN...
ReplyDeletemy god I think i have arrived in the funny farm
ReplyDeleteby being so biased about all of your points above you lose credibility for the ones that actually have merit.
ReplyDeleteidiot
billdean09 - Your views are always welcome, but please try and remain respectful to other posters, even if you think what they've said is BS. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteREMINDER: If you disagree with CostasY's post - or anyone else's - then argue against it; do't belittle his views with stupid derogatory comments. Any fool can come up with a one line sniping remark, but it takes a bit of of intelligence to construct a valid counter argument. Just because someone has a different/extreme view does not mean it's open season to slag it off. Any further sniping responses will be deleted.
ReplyDeleteDelusional. Don't worry you'll be in the Championship next season so you won't have these kinds of problems.
ReplyDeleteI had written a comment, but the mediator, still hasn`t let it stand can you explain why it wasn`t allowed?
ReplyDeleteoh my god costasy are u for real! wow just wow!
ReplyDeleteHi Mick - please read the comment policy on the left side of the page (scroll up). All will become clear. Your post will show up in a minute.
ReplyDeleteIts on now thankyou.
ReplyDeleteJaimie there are levels of BS and when the level is of extreme BS then I lose my cool at such statements and only sound off when my blood boils, usually i am light hearted and try to inject some humour.
ReplyDeleteYes....but the comment above mention he should have been taken off BEFORE then.......
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean; it can be tough sometimes.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant costasy, its no wonder the rest of the country laugh at the liverpool fans.
ReplyDeleteWe have been simply outstanding against Manure. It is simply that they cannot win without the support of referees. I thought they were in debt, but how on earth they were able to buy another referee. Compared to last season, we have improved enormously: we are keeping possession & playing quality football. We just need to put a finishing touch to it. People are laughing at where we are right now. But if ever they watched how we have played till now, they would realize that we can be real threats this season. Though we have already lost 11 points.. just see where we will be at the end of the season. Seriously speaking, our season really starts now & we are going to rock every other opponents who come in our way!! YNWA!!
ReplyDeleteI think somebodys been hitting the bottle before he wrote this, or been simply dreaming, wakey wakey just another delusional LFC hater.
ReplyDeleteLawenson is a cock. If Dalgliesh was in charge he would have seen it differently.
ReplyDeletePerhaps Mark Lawrenson was watching some other game. Gary Nevil, ex manure player and munc lover, mentioned that the red card for Shelvy was harsh and the penalty was a mistake as there was minimal contact by Johnson. If at all Johnson collided with Pepe and Valencia was going the othe way and dived (cheated) to get a penalty. It all seemed premeditated as Old Whiskey nose mentioned before the game that he had not got a penalty at Anfield in a long while. Mark Hasley was only too pleased to help Fergie get his last wish fulfilled. Even a colleague of mine, who is a manure fan, felt ashamed that manure played badly and won due to bias refereeing. what was very sore is that Hasley appeared to be getting instructions through his head set for both the red card and the penalty. One suspects there is conspiracy and cover ups going on with the FA and the referees in deciding who wins the games. It would take may be another 23 years to prove that. What cannot be taken away from Liverpool was that until Shelvy left the field, manure was completed outplayed. It is clear that the passing and movement has improved and Branden Rodgers style is taking shape. Also pleasing was that another youngster , Suso made his debute in difficult circumstances and did not let the manager down. With Kelly and Agger out for long periods, more youngsters will be getting their opportunities and fast tracked into the first team, which will be good for Liverpool in the long term.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh ok, cheers Seamy. I read it wrong.
ReplyDeleteSeriously speaking Liverpool was the better team against Manchester on Sunday. It has almost become a habit for Manure to win with the support of referees. I have been watching all Liverpool matches since the start of the season & it has been a real pleasure to watch them play. If Liverpool continue to play like this, they could pose to be real threats this season no matter if they have lost 11 points. This comes from a Chelsea fan.
ReplyDeleteThink you're reading the newspaper upside down, not me. Liverpool arn't near the top.
ReplyDeleteyou think there is intelligence in CostaY's view? wow.
ReplyDeleteWhy bother putting a shift in when you know the officials are paid off?
ReplyDeleteAre you for real?
ReplyDeleteThat must be why Shelvey was sent off! United were playing with 9!
ReplyDeleteThen they also show LFC should have been awarded a pen for the foul on Suarez and that the Evans/Jonjo tackle was an attempt by 2 players to get a 50/50 ball, in fact Jonjo did get the ball before touching Evans as the replays clearly show, if Jonjo got red so should Evans. There was also the tackle on Suarez towards the end of injury time when he was felled, but because Liverpool had the ball no action was taken, even though there was no advantage by playing on, in fact a free kick would have been better for LFC at that time. The game was full of inconsistent refereeing and I think any honest person would say on any other day by any other referee those decisions would have been awarded in Liverpools favour, and quite rightly so.
ReplyDeletenot once does your professor friend mention about any bad tackles made on any United players nor does he mention about the booking that Suarez deserved for his blatant dive in the box.. Pittypool fans are the worst on the planet... always being hard done to...never at fault... Admittedly there were some bad decisions made by the ref, but hey he has a split second to make a decision unlike your professor friend who has watched the replays over and over to make his decision... these decisions swing in roundabouts... stop being so bitter and focus on the positives for your side... Gerrard is back to decent form again and well I cant think of anymore... oh and FYI United have more points at Anfield then Liverpool have all season
ReplyDeleteall anyone should be concerned about is the game next weekend, which is now a must win game. The league cup is now a sideshow as the squad is too small to compete in 3 competitions at the moment.
ReplyDelete2 points out of 15 is a reality it has not been caused by a conspiracy it has been caused by the failure to convert the many goal chances that have been created.
If it is 2 or 3 pts out of 18 after the next game, I think it is reason for serious concern, and you can put as much spin on it as you want the league table is there for you to see and the position is dire and already injuries have taken out 3 players, 1 for the season and with Agger it could be a while, there is a suspension though only for 2 league games due to the league cup and there are several injury prone players playing not 100% fit, Stevie G and Johnson for 2 are injury prone. Sahin has a track record of always being injured.
Stick the youth team out in the league cup and see how they get on.
I would assume this is the only way your team could won LFC at Anfield and the only way to win the title is by having the referees to be pushing you with their decisions. You really have a great team!
ReplyDeleteCan I ask you your honest opinion ? Did LFC not play Man -u off the park? Did both players enter a 50-50 challenge with two feet off the ground ? Was there as much contact with Suarez as their was with Valencia ? We all saw the after match replays. So what im saying is we should have had at least a point, but if the decisions would have been correct on behalf of the officials, against Man-U we would have 3more points too add to our points tally. So then we would be nearer the top end than the bottom. And im a realist and not one bit delusional.
ReplyDeleteOf course you can't identify any intelligence because the proved infringements expose you, your manager, your team, FA, and the referees. Can you prove to the whole world that you could have beaten LFC without the favourite whistles of Mark Halsey and the title? I guess not!
ReplyDeleteEven some animals can express substantive arguments. Monkeys can only yell.
ReplyDeleteI have previously been surprised to be repeatedly advised by this website that the Steve Nicol I watched throughout my childhood is a "legend". I must confess that I am astonished to learn from this article that he is in fact iconic too.
ReplyDeleteI never would have believed he would achieve this status when watching him play.
Yowsers. Can you read? I said it takes intelligence to construct a counter argument.
ReplyDeletestill harping on about the referees wrong doings... get a grip and move on costasY... Thanks for the compliment on how great my team is oh, I totally agree with you!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Y, it's clear that you are a die hard, Pool fan and from that perspective I get why you are feeling a little agrieved.Based on the events surrounding what is always a massive event, I get why you would have been emotional leading up to the start of the match and left deflated /emotionally drained at the final whistle. I get that after controlling large portions of the match, albeit, mostly in front of the United defense, you would be so gutted to 1, lose to United at Anfield and 2) do so after giving up a penalty ; losing Shelvey to a red card and then seeing 2 others leave the field injured --self imposed, mind you.
ReplyDeleteI get that you would be steaming mad that after 5 matches you are rooted to the bottom three in the table with only 2 points to show, having given up 6 points at home to United and Arsenal.
I get that this has to be so disturbing in light of the fact that you where left short of strikers at the close of the transfer window and as much as you don't want to admit, you know that Borini is not the answer, Suarez is not a goal scorer and you have to persevere until January. I get that you loathe Evra because he had the odesity to out Suarez. So I understand why a routine challenge outside of the box on Sterling could force you make such an assanine statement like #3 should have been shown a red card--OK, I simply think that your position is just plain stupid , so I really don't get this. I get that you are feeling like Referees are just plain out to get Liverpool even though over the past 8 seasons only Chelsea and Arsenal have been awarded more penalties (narrow gap), because that's why die hard fans tend to do. Ok--this is just insane--I don't get you folk at all.
I can see your level of intelligence! Great team I mean by playing every game with 12 players (you realize I guess who is the 12th players, or don't you!?!)
ReplyDeleteI repeat, over the past 8 seasons only Chelsea and Arsenal have been more penalties than , you guessed it, Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteOk--once again, over the past 8 seasons only Arsenal and Chelsea have been given more penalties than Liverpool. Fact!!!
ReplyDelete2 points from 15 sigh!!!!!
ReplyDeleteArsenal and Chelsea are followed by LIVERPOOL as the teasm awarded the most penalties over the past 8 seasons. Hmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteYou repeat incorrect facts:
ReplyDeleteStatistics on penalties since 2002-3 incl. 2012-13 so far:
Penalties for:
ManUtd 60
Arsenal 58
Chelsea 56
Liverpool 55
Penalties against:
ManUtd 26
Chelsea 29
Liverpool38
Arsenal 42
BTW ManUtd got almost 50% (27) of their penalties since 2009-10, i.e. in the last three seasons and the beginning of this one. If it goes the same speed it started this season it will a world record on penalties. Fergie has bought a good penalty taker, so he wants to make full use of him.
Arsenal followed by CHELSEA and than LIVERPOOL have been awarded the most penalties over the past 8 seasons...... I guess the refs also like you fellas as well...hmmmmmmmmmmmm
ReplyDeleteDear RTC I am one of the toughest critics of LFC's ownership, hierarchy, and coaching team when I feel they make wrong decisions and I do not criticize or post comments under any emotional distruction. I also understand that you have to defense the win of your team and claim that Mark Halsey's decisions were right. I am wondering how your manager and your fans would have reacted if you lose in your pitch under the specific circumstances as LFC lost on Sunday? Do you believe your manager would have left it go by not reacting? Do you think your fans wouldn't criticize the FA and the refs? But I guess you don't need to do that because you enjoy favorite calls by them. So whatever your personal problems are as ManU fans not to come clear and admit/say, "yes, LFC was cheated 3 points by Mark Halsey" at least show some respect by saying nothing and not trying to cover up this "crime" that was committed on Sunday afternoon!
ReplyDeletenever your fault - 2 points and all down to a refereeing conspiracy! how big is the conspiracy when even former dipper players even back Halsey's decisions. get back to job hunting you numpty
ReplyDeleteWhining scousers are whining
ReplyDeleteWrong. Last 8 seasons (plus the start of this one):
ReplyDeletePenalties for:
ManUtd 49
Chelsea 49
Arsenal 48
LFC 46
I agree its not great but we will be ok this season i know we`re not going to win the league, but we will do just fine I didn`t expect miracles this season, but the season after with a full season of playing the way Brenden rodgers wants us too, looks frightening for any opposition lets see whos laughing then.
ReplyDeletecould not put it better myself or could any1 else ;)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand your panic because you as ManU were surprised by the way LFC performed on the pitch and that you would have left with a loss and I also understand that you need to cover Mark Halsey as to thank him because he helped you escape from Anfield with the 3 points. Congradulations for that achievement!
ReplyDeletethe proved infringements are they the infringements that you and your fellow dippers have been talking about while crying into your beer or whatever you cry into in numptyland. poor old liverpool zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
ReplyDeleteChelsea has been given the highest number of penalties in one season (12 - 2009-10). ManUTd are currently runner-up with 11 penalties in the last season (in 38 games). This season they have already 4 in 5 matches, so watch out, the absolute record is gonna be broken this season!!!
ReplyDeleteNeville said it was a pen
ReplyDeleteYou mention Evra and Suarez, if you take a look at the hand shake you will see that Evra did not make eye contact with Suarez, now that say's a lot about Evra it was a empty gesture And Sir Alax's did smirk when Shelvey was sent of a biond man could have seen that im a Everton surporter AM IM DISGUSTED AT THE ANTICS OF THE MANU'S
ReplyDeletegawd are you still bleating on about injustices. if you want to attribute blame for your loss look within. Halsey had nothing to do wit it. you came up (at home) to a very poor United and lost and it all boiled down to the fact that you have a 'striker' who makes downing look prolific not to mention his disgraceful diving. he's a dirty cheat and reaps what he sows
ReplyDeletemaking incorrect decisions on the field of play is not a crime unless the referee was receiving a bribe to do so which he was not. The manager will be fined if he criticises referees to much so he has to be careful what he says.
ReplyDeleteHowever get over it, the Evertonians were bleating last week about the linesman now the Liverpudlians about the ref, they won 3-0 they got over it so you do as well.
go help fergy drink his buckfast
ReplyDeletethe top teams always win the most penalties because they are in the box more. Stoke win few penalties as their style of play is hit it over the top, they dont dribble the ball in the box resulting in pens.
ReplyDeleteIt is not that the ref prefers the top teams, they win more penalties by their ability to get into the penalty area more.
We played 5 games up to now in EPL, in the 4 of them the referees decisions cost us. They have to start behaving according to their role, if they can't then they should retire. It is as simple as that. Now if you don't get it what can I say!
ReplyDeleteMany factors affect the final result of a game including the refs' decisions. But I guess you don't need it because all the time they whistle in favorite of your team!
ReplyDeletemick I see you maths is as good as your team. 3 points added to your (pathetic) tally would give you 5 - still in the bottom half, 8 points off the top and 4 points off the bottom. then again it's this type of misguided logic that has you dippers believing that you're shit due to external forces
ReplyDeleteActually we did a trade with Arsene Wenger... RVP for Howard Webb there was no money involved
ReplyDeleteI am glad you admit it!
ReplyDeleteI am really starting to think that there is a conspiracy against LFC. The Fa and referees seems to be against us! Their actions are Anti LFC but Pro manure. This cannot be considered coincidence anymore. I dont know why, maybe its just jealousy, maybe its slut alex ferguson bribing them, but whatever their true motives its really starting to piss me off.
ReplyDeleteWe are already handicaped due to the transition we are going through with a change in manager, a new system of play, new players coming in and not settled yet, a depleted squad with more underaged players than senior ones, lack of strikers, stingy owners not giving us enough money plus the negative impact of not being in champions league for 3 yr etc. Now they seem to be taking advantage of our situation and trying to completely crush us in such a way that we wont be able to recover. Maybe they want us to get relegated and want the mancs to extend their record premiership titles even more. Are they jealous that we are the only club that have won as much trophies as the mancs? Do they want to erase everything we have accomplished? Are they trying to make all what we have won become just history while the mancs keep winning trophies and we eventually get forgotten by the next generations like notthingham forest..?
Agent hicks my maths are fine 3points added to the 2points we already have would give us 5points, which would have put us in 12th position and ok 4points behind United who were given these points by the match officials, and not by their own shit performance. Is that better for you ? thanks for correcting my silly mistake.
ReplyDeleteEvery game you play with an extra player, watch your team's games and you will also realize it!
ReplyDeleteman ure 26 against you jest are you counting penalty shoot outs lol
ReplyDeleteI do watch every game and as previously stated these injustice decisions swing in roundabouts. Im not saying that we dont get these decisions in our favour but there is times when we dont the deserved decision but you dont here us Utd fans harping on and on and on about it... Get over it CostasY and look forward to your next game against Norwich and the ref
ReplyDeleteMark Lawrenson aka Kenny's best mate. Since Kenny's gone he's been anti LFC with his views becoming more and more extreme. Any other neutral media outlet and even Gary Neville agreed e.g. we should have had a pen when Suarez fouled in area.
ReplyDeleteAlso agreed RVP tackle same as Shelvey's and Evans'.
Slow mo replays prove Halsey a joke. Me thinks you've got glasses tinted same colour as fergie's big hooter - ROSE! You were awful against us at the wkend and but for a dodgy ref would have been proven so just as EFC did first game of the season and Gala would have done if it weren;t for yet another dodgy ref!
I could go on all day but above is enough.....
you're deluded. What goes around comes around doesn't happen in football. Impossible for so many inaccuracies to even themselves out equally over a season. Didn;t happen for LFC last season and won;t happen again. You don;t complain cos' you always get the rub of the green and have done for years since fergie been around.
ReplyDeleteHow do you know Halsey is an honest man? If he is then he's an awful ref as those decisions were diabolical. Being the usual uneducated man UTD supporter however you'll choose to believe hte ref's decisions were right because they went in you favour.
Last season
ReplyDelete1. When Kenny Dalglish was still manager i remember a week when we had to play 2 times against chelsea and one time against manu i think and they did not want to postpone one of the match. We were forced to play all of them and one of our player even got injured for the rest of the season thanks to this.
2. One of our best player Suarez was banned for 8 matches.
3. Obvious penalties was not awarded to us while offsides goals and imaginary penalties was awarded against us countless times
4. I remember a the match of chelsea against manure when the latter was losing 3-0 but was awarded 2 very dubious penalties in the match which helped them not lose.
This season
1. First 5 matches of this new campaign we have to play against the top 3 teams of last season.
2. Obvious penalties not awarded again while dubious penalties awarded against us(west brom and now manure match)+ players are being suspended thanks to this for no reason.
3. Manure already have been awarded more penalties than necessary with almost one every match.
Call me paranoid but all these and maybe you guys can even think of more, clearly points to a conspiracy against us. The Fa, referees etc are all Anti LFC but Pro Manure. There is just too much bias against us for it to be a called coincidence or merely "mistakes" from referees.
THE TEAMS WITH THE MOST PENALTIES ARE THE TOP TEAMS WHO GET IN THE BOX MORE OFTEN THAN THE TEAMS IN THE LOWER REACHES OF THE LEAGUE THATS WHY THEY HAVE MORE PENALTIES.
ReplyDeleteIF YOU DRIVE OVER 90 ON THE MOTORWAY YOU WILL HAVE MORE SPEEDING TICKETS THAN A BLOKE WHO DOES 71.
so come on seriously,do people on here really think its all a conspiracy??
ReplyDeleteIf so which one and by who??
a) to ensure utd to win the league
b)to ensure liverpool dont
Is it the Fa?
the refs?
is the evil dark lord fergie behind it all??
Does it include the liverpool owners by keep on employing crap managers?
Fcuking sad for a scouser a lost is a lost suck it up
ReplyDeleteWas Mark Halsey the referee for Liverpool first 4 premier league games? Was he the referee for every game Liverpool lost last season (which were quite a few)? Did he also curl the ball in past Reina 5 minutes after Gerrards goal? I believe the answer must be No to all three of these. Oh and it was definitely a penalty, Johnson clipped Valencia's heel which caused him to fall off balance.
ReplyDeleteShelvey verbally attacked and blamed Fergie immediately after getting sent off, which he later apologised for, SAF was perplexed as to why JS acted this way towards him, hence the bemused laugh as he walked down the tunnel.
I hope this chant never dies - "Always the victim, its never their fault" as its nothing but the truth. United fans are not the only ones who will agree.
herzog, check your facts lad,utd are fifth in the pens for table, behind liverpool
ReplyDeleteVery detailed response but missing the certain yellow card not given to Shelvey in the first ten minutes, for hacking rafael down from behind long after the ball had been played up the field. How did you and "The Professor" miss that one. Rose coloured glasses??
ReplyDeleteand i am sure its not only lfc fans that agree that you get the referees favours in every game you play
ReplyDeleteIf you play in the box you'll get penalties........
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember who said it ????
Get a grip Scoucers and admit ''y.n.w.a. == you'll never walk AGAIN !!
It's hard I know but you have to swallow it and ''THAT'S A FACT''
I agree with that totally. We get lucky with decisions. But what fault is that of United's? I would love for there to be an investigation to match fixing, because that's practically what the accusation is. Yes we do get get penalties, but the more time you spend in the opposition penalty box the more penalties you're likely to win, hence why the big teams (Chelsea, AFC, Man City) get rewarded a lot of pens.
ReplyDeleteWe've had big decisions swing against us too, but its never the refs fault on those occasions.
The truth - http://sportwitness.ning.com/forum/topics/glen-johnson-suffering-from-mass-confusion-as-he-accuses-manchest
ReplyDeleteevery club and supporter will tell you ref decisions have cost them, look at Stoke City they never get any. Look at the linesman who made 2 howlers EFC v NUFC
ReplyDeletei am neither deluded or a MUFC fan. Halsey is regarded by pro footballers and managers as one of the best refs and fairest in the business. He is human and he made errors. I have been to more matches than you have had hot dinners. I didnt say they were right i said they were made in real time and he got them wrong.
ReplyDeleteAsk any everton fan about clattenburg and the derby where he got lot of decisions wrong and the sending of incorrectly of Rodwell in a derby by Atkinson. It happens to us all but refs make howlers they dont make them intentionally they are human.
i wish i could recommended that million times
ReplyDeletethis comes from a Chelsea fan with that username? R U 4 REAL??
ReplyDeletedont worry ur lot are going to play in championship next season and i hope for a long time... ;)
ReplyDeleteI agree wholeheartedly with you Billy. When I read this contribution I thought that the lunatics must be running the asylum.
ReplyDeleteWhile Nani was anonymous on Sunday and Kagawa basically shone when it came to fall to the ground as an opponent came anywhere near him, Nicol's comment first and foremost shows just how few Prem games he really is watching.
ReplyDeleteunited payers were just falling over and gettin a free kick every time, especially that kagawa, just laughable.
ReplyDeletehow can so many people be wrong about united ie (the whole country) refs favour united 80%+of the time with dodgy decisions in there favour.
most of you smug mancs wouldnt even still be following your team if you were in the position liverpool are.
and thats a fact
Currently, Downing. The recent past, Voronin. Enough said.
ReplyDeleteboot on other foot and your lot would be crying and fergie refusing to speak to anyone (again) ronaldo never dived, drogba never dived, YOUNG never dives haha and bale never dives etc etc. not one of them get or got quarter of the flack suarez gets.
ReplyDeletefact is he would be god had u lot signed him.
your the worst and most fickle fans in the country and no wonder people detest you.
sing when your winning sums you up
because stoke go out to kick teams off the park maybe??
ReplyDeleteThe only thing i hear is boo-hoo,quit crying you lost, that's it!!
ReplyDeleteive got the bottom and cant remember what the debate was about, apart from some smug glory hunters, who were probably proud of there supporters after the game.
ReplyDeletenani used to be a great player, but then if your face dont fit in the end, bully boy fergie, bullys you out the door.
what happens if manure dont win anything again this season or even next season or the one after that and so on.
il tell you what will happen, you will get very little posts from smug glory hunting manure fans and support for that matter, old traff will be half full.
despite our unlucky and poor start we are slowly slowly on the up...............and manure are slowly slowly on the down.
Ok,lets get silly season out of the way. Do you seriously believe with hand on heart that FA including referees are collaborating to cause the demise of liverpool? This is like playground tittle tattle. As opposing fans we are never going to agree. Insults like"manure" "whiskey nose" and "bindippers" are beyond me. WE are the two greatest teams in thek history of English football, both clubs have suffered terrible disasters and come out the other side stronger. As a staunch United fan for 37yrs I've seen terrible calls by referees for and against but we tend to only remember the ones that go against us. Liverpool were the better team up until the sending off,United were terrible first half but turned it around second half with a fight till the end attitude. This is not a biased claim just an honest fans opinion.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to talk about diving, let's discuss Danny Welbeck last week, for which he was awarded a penalty. But I suppose that's off limits isn't it? Also, if you insist on commenting on a Liverpool forum, try to refrain from childish name calling.
ReplyDeleteA beastly thing to say.
ReplyDeleteSome laughable comments on here. While I would love the truth to come out in 15 years (similar to Italy) that refs were taking brown paper bags of money - I highly doubt this is what is happening, but you never know.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I have to say, having a Utd executive in a high position in the FA is a massive conflict of interest and wouldn't happen in any other industry in the world (save for corrupt nations!) but I doubt just how much influence he has with things. Still, if you don't want to be accused then don't put yourself in the firing line.
The fact is it was just inconsistent and terrible refereeing. Everyone I speak to, regardless of who they support, were massively surprised by how bad Halsey was and felt Liverpool were hard done by in the sense that Halsey somehow made all the bad decisions against Liverpool. It would be a bit more comforting if we had some random bad decisions go in our favour, but they didn't. It is the manner of inconsistency that really annoys us and has surprised the football world and Utd fans shouldn't even try to pretend that it wouldn't have annoyed them. That ref performance would have annoyed ANY team.
Anyway, I'm proud that it took 12 men to beat a 10 man Liverpool, they did the 96 proud. Even with 10 men we passed more than Utd with almost the same accuracy, had more possession (and Utd can't say they were counter-attacking for most of the game because they only took the lead late on in the match), 10 shots in the box doesn't suggest we were "in front of the defence with useless possession" the whole time either. Utd only had 3 shots in the box, one of them a penalty, another a wonder goal Rafael will probably never score again in his life and the other I can't even remember as they got nowhere near our goal. 7 corners to their 3 also suggest we were much more near their byline than our own one! 44 clearances to our 19 shows who was on the backfoot, despite being a man up.
Of course the main and only stat that really matters is the final score, or so they say.
This season is about rebuilding a squad and instilling a new footballing philosophy and if it means we can still outclass a title challenger with a man down for most of the match, along with dominating the current champions, then obviously I'm happy with the progress already.
There are things to iron out, obviously, but I'm glad that 3 big games against the top 3 are over with whilst we adjust to the new style. The promise it has shown fills me with hope. We were always going to make mistakes at the back, it's part of the learning process.
Aside from Arsenal, we haven't been out played 11 v 11. And even 10 against 12 we dominated the Utd team. You have to look at the bigger picture. We have shown improvement to be able to deal with being a man down.
A season isn't 5 games playing the top 3 and 2 other teams, there are 38 games. So it's laughable when people say, you are going to get relegated or you are in the relegation zone, after having to play the top 3.
News flash, unless you have been hibernating for 20 years, we are not a top 3 team and these teams are expected to be favourites. News flash, any team with this fixture list would probably have had their worst start in 50 years, because it would probably be 50 years since they had to play the top 3 in the first 5 games!
All I see is progress. Obviously the squad needs some additions but we'll get there. I'm happy with the style, the manager, the fact that we are seemingly redeveloping Anfield. If they can do it anything like Fenway Park, then we are in for a treat.
Suso, Sterling and Shelvey for around 10 million. We've certainly wasted money, but these guys are awesome and Rafa certainly didn't waste when it came to them.
The future is bright, the future is red.
Come on guys... Was just a football match. Good or bad decisions from the ref is part of the parcel... 3 points lost or won has never (?) been corrected by any football governing body. Move on to the next match... Onward and upward. YNWA. ps: it still looked like 10 men against 11 boys in the 2nd half. You mancs have a lot to work about to get going as strong as chelsea or man city. ;)
ReplyDeleteBased on Sundays game only, Liverpool looked far superior to Manu 11v11, and even for long periods 10v11, Manu were awful as Fergie admitted.
ReplyDeleteAgain based on Sundays game, I would be more worried for Manu than Liverpool. Liverpool can take a lot of positives from the game, Manu cannot.
Simple question.. Liverpool had more possession AND created more chances AND had more shots before and after the sending off (regardless of the referees decisions). Why then weren't they good enough to win to match? It seems they only have themselves to blame. Acknowledging their own faults goes against the scouse ethos! Victims again!!
ReplyDeleteTypical Manc, you were lucky to get the win, lets leave it at that.Bit difficult to play with 10 men against 11 and a ref.I cant wait to see where you are mid season, playing like that you could join us down the bottom.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows we have a striking/goalscoring problem, where the hell have you been?? So yes, when goals are scarce, it doesn't help when key decisions go against you, you need things to go your way when you can't score goals.
ReplyDeleteI was proud of the performance, it deserved at least a point. You were lucky to get a soft pen and a wondergoal usually deserves a point if it helps you get that. Can't help that there was inconsistent refereeing. I'm happy with our performance and not the result.
We need to finish off the teams we are dominating.
Simple really.
i would never delude myself if the manager is bad fit like hodgson and brendan, face facts he talks and writes a good game and is good at pr unlike fergie and kenny but alan hansen was asked why fergie was given 7 years to win the league, and his reply was fergie earned his time and backing for what he done at aberdeen, same as wenger he aint won jack since 2004 and then we have king kenny just because some fans want instant sucess and FSG wanted a younger manager (but gave kenny a 3 year deal)but a bad 5 months and he past glorys mean jack and we gamble 25m on getting a novice based on 1 season ? be careful what you wish for
ReplyDeleteAs a United season ticket holder I was personally ashamed by the behaviour of many of our fans on Sunday. Many (not all) demonstrated a complete lack of class and respect both before, during and after the game, when reacting to a minority of idiots who succeeded in their attempts to goad the United section. It was though a disgrace on a day that offered up the opportunity for two great clubs to stand together, respect the fallen and represent the best about English football. For our part in this, please accept my apologies and those of many United fans that I have spoken to this week who feel the same.
ReplyDeleteThat said, the comments on this page are laughable from some Liverpool fans. Talk of corruption and conspiracy, accompanied by bigoted comments against United and Manchester do nothing but fuel the fire and play into the hands of those for whom you have such contempt.
I love my city, I love my club - but most of all I love football. Liverpool have always been and will always be our biggest game of the season and the game we look for every year when the fixtures come out. Enjoy the competition, respect the competition but leave the hate and bile at home boys - life is too short.
evra causing the trouble he has, has just mixed the poison between manure and LFC.
ReplyDeleteevra has been a sly trouble maker all his football career.
as for fergie, how did this foul mouthed pig headed man ever get to become a sir?? it baffles me.
hes a bully and a sulker who has to have it his way regardless
why are they never judged?? thats what gets most fans, and a lot is dependent on them ie good peoples hard earned money, having there day ruined by people with there head stuck up there arse with no compremise.
ReplyDeleteits every week a ref has a howler. they are just terrible nowa days. the standard and consistancy is poor.
lets make football a none contact sport because thats how its going, we dont need british refs now lets get continental ones who let no tackles go.
and i for starters will not follow football fall stop.
so much for our physical fast paced league eh.
ive been to enough games and played at a good standard to know this be true.
as for clatenburg with rodwell i can remember the game a couple seasons before at goodison where everton kicked liverpool off the park literally, it was a joke how there wasnt a serious injury.
not a dickie bird about it
and he said not a sending off
ReplyDeletedream on, and you still wont have won anything lol
ReplyDeletetrip on suarez, penalty, then were probably 2 goals up, then a penalty gift to u boys and we lose. simple really.
ReplyDeleteit was like playing at old trafford for obvious reasons.
this difference is: Evans was trying to get to the ball with both foot...while Shelvey, was also trying to reach the ball from the side, but unfortunately got Evans' foot instead....
ReplyDeletewhat a load of crap. this "professor" sounds like a typical sore looser or figment of your imagination to be more precise.
ReplyDeleteWhat the f? It seems to me that certain, I hesitate to say all or most LFC fans (although the more I read here the more inclined I am to change that assessment) seem to be confusing the obvious.
ReplyDeleteThe heinous and disgraceful conspiracy that was enacted after the Hillsborough tragedy is a dark chapter but the transference of these feelings into a conspiracy of referees out to get LFC, and that the FA aids MUFC at the expense of LFC is beyond laughable.
Is it the referee's, FA's or MUFC's fault that Souness, Evans and Houllier in particular, Rafa, Roy and now Rodgers (although he must be given time undoubtedly, so, perhaps he should not be on this list) have signed more duds than success stories?
Is it the fault of the same that the last meaningful players that LFC's youth system have developed (Gerrard and Jamie) are almost finished at the highest level? Jamie, in particular.
Is it the fault of all of the above that LFC have only played with any sort of verve and zeal only twice since the very end of last season, including pre season? Incidentally the 2 matches were at Anfield, vs. the current champions followed by game vs. the biggest rivals.
Its sad for the victims when the split second decisions go against, but mistakes are made in all walks of life, and that is how it is.
You can either whinge and moan and complain and make ridiculous claims of conspiracy against. You can do all of that. And you can keep doing that, but the silence is quite deafening when it goes the other way i.e Rodwell's red card in the derby a few years back, over the controversial goal that may, or may not have crossed the line allowing LFC to make it to Istanbul to mention but two.
But lets not let that inconvenient truth get in the way.
yo Lower do you know how FEGIE Become a 'SIR' its when he win the HISTORICAL TREBLE in 1999 which LIVERPOOL has never done in its History...even STEVEN GERRARD respect SIR ALEX FERGUSON for what he has contributed in football..you called him a pig headed man a sulker..may be if SIR ALEX was coaching liverpool and has contributed lots of success like UNITED then you would have not call him a sulker a pig headed man..this typically shows how you fans are jealous of what he has done to a club like MANCHESTED UNITED...next think well before you speak against SIR ALEX because in the history of liverpool none of your manager has ever done of what ALEX has done till today...
ReplyDeletei think you watched only manchester united played against liverpool..because since i was reading your text above you only pinpoint out only critics against UNITED..but as far as concerning LIVERPOOL you closed your eyes...you are talking about RED CARDS let me brings you some of liverpool vs United clash in the previous season 6/03/2011 liverpool beat united on a 3-1 scores a hat trick of KUYT...CARRAGHER should have been awarded a RED CARD for the bad tackle against nani instead he got a yellow on an another clash CARRAGHER was the last defender and brings down michael OWEN yet no RED CARD...im not saying UNITED is a perfect team next time when you talk about criticism against whatever team do research a bit for liverpool also..
ReplyDeleteRead my long post above man, it's a much more realistic view, I promise.
ReplyDeleteAlso would people stop banging on about that goal that "might never have crossed the line" Garcia got nailed to the ground so it would have been a penalty and a red card had we not scored. People seem to conveniently forget that!! They probably did better off keeping the 11 men on the pitch!
Also we played with "verve and zeal" against Sunderland and West Brom before the sending off. Don't rely on MOTD, we watch the whole 90 mins. Arsenal was the only totally off game.
LOL - we lost the league 2 seasons ago to Chelsea - they played us at OT and their second goal was a yard offside - they won the game 2-1. If we would have drawn that game we would have won the league. Last year Ferdinand made a clean challenge against Ben arfa - should have been a corner - a penalty was awarded. We drew that game and dropped 2 points n lost the league on goal difference! Stop crying so much.
ReplyDeleteI would love to understand just how you think Halsey actually shows bias to United. What's your theory, bought by Fergie. Does Fergie send him money and how is that done via some Swiss bank account? Really, worth the risk? Or perhaps he has a Quiet word with Halsey before all matches and then such is his standing in the game that in the Caldron that is Anfield Halsey feels he will instantly show respect to Fergie and disrespect to all of Anfield by showing a red and favouring united in all decisions. Why, so he gets a pat on the back from Fergie?
ReplyDeleteWhat does your Professor Plum think, I am sure he must have a theory of how this is all done. Or do you and do you have proof. And whilst your at it who killed JFK and is Elvis still alive?
You see my point, refs make dodgy decisions but really to suggest its some big ploy to ruin Liverpool. Teams make there own luck and if they don't have a recognised centre forward and are using a new system then these things have to be considered.
west brom are a very well organised team who get everyone behind the ball even at home, Liverpool didnt have a clue how to break it down and neither did Everton who have more capable goal scorers at the moment. Over the 90 mins WBA deserved their win sending off or not.
ReplyDeleteNorwich away on Saturday, last season one of the easiest away wins of the season will be interesting to see if it will be again under this manager
always the victim...
ReplyDeleteLook lets get things straight. Forget what the other team does in a game and worry about what we are doing. 2 players sent of against wba, silly back passes against man city and 2 stupid tackles against man u. We only have our selves to blame. You don't give the refs a reason to send you off and you'll be ok. We see things in slow mo and from all different angles but the ref gets a split second to make the call.
ReplyDeleteIf we take the player out before he reaches the penalty box which we could of done then there is no call for the ref to make. We are where we are in the league because of stupid mistakes by the players and not because of the ref's. I want the players to believe in themselves in front of goal and not listen to the bull about not having a striker. We create chances, dominate games and have alot of good players coming through............ Now let's stop blaming everyone else and start winning games.
I disagree. LFC have raised their game only twice this season, imo, in the matches that I stated. Although its a long season and I think that they will eventually come good i.e finish in the top ten.
ReplyDeleteBut is that really good enough???
RE Your stats based comment. Personally I dont go for who had the most corners, or clearances, or any of that sort of, imo weak attempts at glossing over the only stat that counts. But I see your valid point and even that most ardent MUFC fan, as I am has to agree that we were second best for long periods
It seems that every Liverpool fan writing on this site must be under 20 years old because if you were older you would realise & remember that everything you are complaining about, ie refs in favour of man utd & your unfair treatment, is exactly what was labelled at Liverpool when they were successful during the 70's & 80's! The most successful teams always experience the same complaints. When Liverpool start getting abuse for having the ref on their side they might well have just won the league!
ReplyDeleteGood God.
ReplyDeleteStop bleating about referees. Referees have not cost us games. Having shit strikers and owners that won't spend money is costing us.
This 'blog' is a glowing example of why opposition fans have no respect for us any more!!!
We're losing games because we aren't good enough. FSG are doing more to help Utd's cause than any referee or the FA is supposedly doing.
WAKE UP!!!
always blame others...never your fault
ReplyDeleteYou should all write a letter to the PM to complain about the conspiracies to keep man utd on top,and to keep liverpool from winning...its a disgrace
ReplyDeleteThe real reason the Corrupt FA will not allow camaras pitchside,It has become beyond a joke how this is allowed to just carry on season after season,Every time we play these cheats something happens to disrupt our season.
ReplyDeleteRemember fergie a few seasons ago, coming out before the match with"players need to respect the refs decisions and not surround him or argue with him"..then surprise surprise during the game his players were on their best behaviour and mascherano questoned a dodgy decision and he was gone....just like that,The funny thing is that this respect thing only lasted for this one game then in utds next game they were back to surrounding the ref,and he did nothing,no booking nothing,The game is being manipulated sometimes very subtle sometimes very blatant(like on sunday)
Nothing will be done though,Esp now the bent ref has made a complaint against some fans(free speech being attacked now as well) I have no symphathy for the cheating scumbag,it is only being done to deflect attention from his disgrace of a performance. With all the money involved in football nowdays people must be dumb to believe that corruption is'nt going on...More people murder for money than all illegal drugs put together...tells yer something does'nt it
Brilliantly put,Remember Dalglish having to come out and apologise to the scummy alcoholic fergie when it was his comments that were out of order,The game is bent simple as and i for one wonder when the world will catch on.
ReplyDeleteClear off then if the conversation is a bit too demanding for your peasized brain,The funny farm is where all the fools who believe "that ref" was fair on sunday should be.
ReplyDeleteTruth hurts does it?
ReplyDeleteLets hear your "intelligent view" then, folk like you are the reason that nothing ever changes,You obviously are not capable of critical thinking so don't bother commenting.
ReplyDeleteA penalty in nearly every game this season so far,Fans from every other club know what utd are about, its just the deluded utd fans who just won't have it(for obvious reasons)
ReplyDeleteYour team are a disgrace along with the refs your" Knighted manager" buys. You probably know less about utd than i do,Most of your fans have about 2 or 3 diff clubs they support anyway,You would not understand the passion involved betreen the club and the fans of liverpool fc.
ReplyDeleteHold on a minute...how do you know he was not bribed, all the evidence points to it as i can't believe someone can be that incompitant,Its the one thing no one ever mentions in the papers or on sky etc(match fixing in the english game)..but it is the one thing that does make sense seeing as it continues season after season,Look how the media and fa turned on Benitez when he bought out the evidence of utds cheating,he was lambasted in yet it was all facts. That ref was bent and i will not budge from that.
ReplyDeleteYou are now clutching at straws,Do you work for the FA or refferees association?.Go over the games this season and last and compare how man u get the benefit of the dought EVERYTIME ,Sorry mate but people are finally seeing it.Good for football bad for manu
ReplyDeleteNo doubt you wouldn't be so charitable about the ref's "bad decisions" if those bad decisions went against your team and resulted in you losing the game! Next time United get a bad call, we expect to hear United fans say "hey, the ref has a split second to make a decision...roundabouts and all that..." and accept it without question, especially if you lose the game as a result.
ReplyDeleteHas this become a Manc site overnight?? See more Manc comments on here than Liverpool ones! Go play in your own playground.
ReplyDeletehmmmmm, Johnson clipped his heal indeed, I like to think Valencia actually back healed Johnson an the foul should have been awarded the other way hehehehe...To be honest IF there was contact it was minimal and Valencia was already off balance and on his way down before contact was made, he made the most of it an got a pen. There were many decisions that were dubious and they all seemed to go in utd's favour, unfortunately thats the way the dice roll sometimes, we absolutely battered utd with both 11 and 10 men and then even with 9 men at the end, lets just take comfort from knowing we were by far the better team on the day and even the utd fans know this. Onwards an upwards next week is another game, the season is far too early for us to worry yet, we shouldn't expect so much in a transitional season, a mid table position at the end of the season is realistic plus a good cup run, top 5 isn't, I can live with that this year, it's painful for me to say this as I am die hard LFC fan for 40yrs, but it is true we are simply just not good enough at the moment. I'd like to Yesil get a chance now Borini is unfit/injured.
ReplyDeleteMaybe all u conspiracy theorists & morons who think everyone else is to blame for liverpools situation should have a cold hard look at ur squad:
ReplyDeleteReina - once great but now past it making too many mistakes!
Kelly - potential but now injured!
Enrique - quite good left back.
Johnson - improved but nothing more than a decent prem player!
Carragher - well past it should retire!
Agger & Skrtel - decent enough partnership both nothing special.
Lucas - prob had legs amputated by now!
Shelvey - potential to be average at best.
Spearing - average at absolute best.
Allen - decent but no where near class!
Suso - potentially good.
Gerrard - pure class but isn't superman & gradually getting more inconsistent!
Henderson - overpriced average player.
Downing - pathetic!
Sterling - one glimer of hope, potentially awesome!
Borini - potentially ok.
Suarez - great player but can't finish & is tainted cos he's a cheat & universally hated (not just by utd fans, remember the world cup)!
Carroll - big dumb Geordie piss head!
Rogers - potentially a good manager but untested at the highest level & will he get the time & patients required?!
All that equals an average premier league squad which will compete mid table!
I am a spurs supporter & u lot sound like us 5 years ago - we're a great team look at our history - unfortunately it's time to face facts, even we have massively overtaken u in terms squad quality & performance! U need to stop living in the past & stop blaming everyone else if u want to go forward in the future!
Having watched replay in slow motion about 100 times, I dib't think Johnson clipped his heel; I believe he tugged Valencia's shirt, which caused him go down. The video clearly shows this. As much.as I hate to say it, it was a penalty.

C'mon folks get a grip, The majority of LFC fans are not delusional, we are realists, football is a game that is played out live, ref's have to make quick decisions, sometimes in our favour an sometimes not, when ref's get it blatantly wrong they should be accountable, if the FA don't want this, the answer is simple, let the managers have 3 calls for replays to redetermine a refereeing decision, simple. This would enable the game to continue to flow. Football is no longer just a game, it is business with very, very high stakes, ref's play a huge part in this business by affecting the outcome of any given game. They need help to make key decisions, human error plays a significant part of many games, trouble is it makes a massive difference.
ReplyDeleteOh an for the UTD fans throwing the "Victims" card at us, you should be ashamed of yourselves, your club most certainly would be ashamed of you, to think you call yourselves fans and represent a club such as UTD is ludicrous, you having to stoop to low levels shows you have no class, respect, or morals. You represent all that is wrong, nothing more than a disease in the modern game, I hold this view on any fans that take pleasure out of the misfortune of others. Grow up!!!!!
Costasy your full of shit! Did you not watch match of the day!!
ReplyDeleteHe won the treble my arse, did he wear 22 pairs of football boots you mean the team won not him, he gets a sir for winning the treble I know of people who have saved lives in fires and what do they get sweet F---all mister ferguson gets a sir for his team that kicks a f--king ball away and join him drinking his wine
ReplyDeletenever heard footballers called patients before haha,
ReplyDeletewoah woah woah.. wait a second... do you even hear the commentary... the pundits and every1 said that it wasnt a dive and it had to be a penalty.. clear your facts before you actually say anything... wait a min... did i mention about valencia...
ReplyDeleteafter that dive, i dont think i need to justify whoz the best diver in the world....
1st ronaldo..after his departure,,nani... last season, it was young... this season valencia..
well,, i think you should change your team name from MUFC to DFC (and of course "D" stands for diving) !
haha shanks done more in less time.
ReplyDeletei speak for all supporters. you should get out more lol
fergie is what i said, no one is jelous of your team.
ive never had a problem with much of the players. its the manager who thinks hes untouchable and his s#it dont stink. but worst of all its you and most your glory following fans.
now boby charlton is a gent and a great, everything fergie is not.
fergie is as good as the press make him.
hes a top manager, but hes had the time, luck and money.
oh almost forgot and the refs llloooooooooolll
Is it only me or does anyone else suspect that this kanwar dude is no liverpool fan?
ReplyDeleteDo you remember we won all three of those matches? Do you remember that we were awarded more penalties than Man U and Man C last season? Do you remember that if we had actually scored our penalties and generally put all those chances we created in the net, we would have finished third?
ReplyDeleteSuarez was lucky not to get a lifetime ban - it IS an option. His own testament and that of HIS witnesses convicted him. He was 'banged to rights'.
Injuries happen. That same player is out again for a long time, because HIS MANAGER chose to ignore him when he said he had felt he'd tweeked his hamstring in the warm-up. DAgger.was taken out of the game by HIS own teammate, the same donkey that gave away the penalty. IF he'd left the ball to Agger, the penalty scenario would never have happened.
It speaks volumes that the strongest team hasn't won, and yet the fringe team has won two on the bounce and that our defenders are outscoring the forwards.
So we've played the top 3 already? You think we shouldn't have to play them? When the fixtures came out, everyone (LFC related) was spouting that we were going to win the league this season, so by your logic, Man U, Arsenal and Man C should have been shitting themselves? We've got Norwich on Saturday, they're above us. Are you going to be whining about playing them early on as well? I don't rate our chances, and by the way, our heaviest defeat came against a 'midtable' team managed by our former assistant manager, our best result against last seasons champions.
Wecan pass a ball about (a basic requirement in football) but we can't stick it in the net and we can't stop it going in our net. Same as last season. THAT'S why we're where we are... unless you think someone at OT is bunging our players money to throw games?
in the end ... all said and done .... results are what matter .... if u need to buy refs ...so be it ..... :P
ReplyDeletePS. it obviously helps if the FA is run by manU board members..... conflict of interest .... huh!!!
