  2. good performance.. personally thinks still we need a WINGER & STRIKER..anyway after all ALLEN will be signing for liverpool but honestly he is not worth 15m mates by the way only good thing i can see in allen signing is gerred gonna be playing more advance role(behind striker) so it is a good sign for lFC..looking forward for same tempo & some improvement finishing in premier league 2012/13..cum on LFC-YNWA

  4. Ahhh! Can't think of anything better! Borini scoring on his Anfield debut, Suarez getting two assists, Gerrard scoring, Johnson scoring an absolute cracker, Agger playing after all this transfer talk, Carroll not playing after all this transfer talk, Lucas playing and everything else!

Fellow Liverpool supporters, the future is bright! Have no fear!

  5. Poor man managment by Rogers the way he treats Carrol in sickening. Also Allen is just another run of the mill British player no athleticism (slow small and weak think how he would do vs yay a) we played a very poor Side tonight do not get carried away with Rodgers he is not good.

No matter what happened today and even if each player scored a hat-trick, nothing would make me happier than seeing Lucas back on the ball, really confident and fit! Gerrard playing behind Suarez - well, wasn't it all what we have been waiting for? Brilliant play by every single person in the starting XI. Just fantastic and flawless. But unfortunately, still see Charlie Adam not really fitting into the system and not clicking well also giving away possession as he usually needs 10 touches before making a wrong decision. Fantastic to see Shelvey and the way he played. i hope he will be good enough to keep Charlie and Spearing on the bench. Fantastic evening. YNWA

  7. Great game to watch...hopefully more to come in the season ahead. Suarez is just a joy to watch. Adam and spearing need to be moved on.

  8. As a Liverpool fan, I just don't understand why other Liverpool fans always criticiesed the team and manager no matter they win or lose! Why can't just show them a full support? Wonderful night anyway, YNWA~

Carroll will play Sunday. Rodgers wanted to see how borini played with Suarez an downing they played brilliantly, and yeh so? We got the win that what counts played some really good football, on the floor with 2/3 more players coming in we will be even more better. An hows Allen weak? He isn't,he a fighter an passes the ball well. Are you sure you're a Liverpool fan???

  12. Define fan.

You never hear a packed Anfield complain.

  13. You will never please everyone, thats just the way the world is, especially when millions of fans are involved. Dont stress yourself over it.

  14. I thought we played fantastic,a lot of positive sign's for the new season.BR is basically saying to Carrol, just because you cost 35 mil dosn't mean you are going to start every game, you have to earn your spot and obviously from what he has seen in pre-season and training he hasn't done that yet,has he! Yes Gomel are not Barcelona, but come on be a bit more positive, get behind the team and BR,I think we are going to have a good season!

  15. Allen every pass is sideways or back not a bad player but 15 mill please Henderson is bigger stronger and faster and could do that job just as well save that money for a true word class forward or winger.

  18. Listen it's not as if SR has not being involved in his carer. Brendon has this kid as great potential in d LiverpooL engine, sign d lad, he might not make a big impression at 1st but give him time just like Henderson. The pair will come good in the core of our side dictating and creating chances 4 d boys up front..... BR has what it takes man, Lookn forward too the season and am also confident of a top 4 finish no probs.... LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!!!!!    YNWA, JFT 96

  21. dead right simon you never hear a packed anfield complain. Also over 43000 hardcore match going intelligent football savvy supporters cheered Andy Carroll just for warming up. Many contributors of this site are definately in the minority when it comes to critical realism. AC must stay, Agger must stay. Probably 43000 supporters who were there last night would not argue too much if Henderson, Adams, or Spearing were linked with moves away from the club, Midfield was the problem area last season

  22. What a match last night! Has all the hallmarks of a successful tenure I think for Bucky. The perfect pre-season opposition to come to Anfield to help us get ready for the new season. Signs looked good as well with AC and Hendo benched and a really positive attacking line up put out. As the team gets used to the new style we'll only get better and better. I'm genuinely excited about the new season now :)

  25. Are you saying a fan is only someone who can make it to the games? I am Australian, lived in Australia all my life, supported Liverpool all my life, which is 30+ years, have the crest tattooed on my chest, but in your logic, because I don't go to the games, which is logistically impossible for me, as well as all the other foreign fans, this does not make me and them fans?

    ReplyDelete
  26. I haven't gotten to watch all of the game properly yet, but for all those who said that Gerrard can't play further upfield anymore, it looks like he went a long way to dispelling that myth again.

Just like Bellamy playing throughout the Olympics debunking that myth about his ability to feature in consecutive games.

  27.  Being positive is good, but we have to be Realistic is that we need another quality striker and of course another quality winger if we want to fight for the title .

  28. Agree with Simon probably not even an LFC fan. True fans support the team no matter what the result is. Were still proud of the team.

Good job for liverpool for qualifying to the next round. I hope that they will continue winning in all the competition.

regarding man power they are still not enough. BR should buy winger+striker that are skillful like Suarez. they still lack of pace and speed. imagine Suarez suspended or injured, Liverpool gonna be in a huge trouble. i don't see any other people in the squad that can influence like him and we don't have Bellamy anymore.

Liverpool need a creative and hardcore dribbler+playmaker, a person that can be a thorn in opposition defense, that's important.

BR got a good vision, wanting to have possession +build up play team, its a good plan, but what Liverpool lacking now is execution, finishing. Liverpool need to be balance. in term of defense, build up play, possession, Counter attacking movement, and finishing. MU and the New Chelsea right now is balance in those area.

I'm a Liverpool die hard fan and i'm looking forward this upcoming season. So Stevie, Suarez and the gang, You Will Never Walk Alone :D

  30. A very positive start, much better movement, confident passing and great to see Lucas back. Good to watch, and much more offensive rather than the the negative backwards passing across the back. Stop being negative about Allen, it's a good foundation to build on.
