Juventus winger Milos Krasic has been persistently linked with Liverpool FC this year, and with summer transfer window in full swing, his Agent has once again reiterated that the Serbian winger has a strong desire to play in the Premier League.
Krasic's agent, Vlado Borozan, has been steadily feeding the press information about the winger's situation over the last few months, and this week, he was at it again, when he told Calciomercato:
"The papers can write what they want, but I am Milos' agent and I guarantee that no offers have arrived.
"He will only accept offers from top English, Spanish or German clubs. Juventus did not let him leave when there was interest from Inter and some Premier League clubs [in January]"
In May, Borozan confirmed that that Krasic would 'definitely leave' Juventus this summer, and revealed that Liverpool and Tottenham were interested in signing him.
With only 7 appearances last season, it's hardly surprising that €12m-rated Krasic wants to leave, and with Juventus achieving massive success without him, it's hard to see how he'll get back in the team.
Alas, like a few of Liverpool's current players, Krasic is just not consistent enough. In the 2010-11 season, he got six goals and six assists in 37 starts, which is creditable, but at one point, he scored only two goals in 24 games.
On the plus side, the Serb is undoubtedly talented, and at 27, he's entering what should be the prime of his career, so a team that uses him properly could reap the rewards.
With Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez gone, and Craig Bellamy seemingly on the way out, Liverpool need more wide midfielders, specifically: a top class right midfielder/winger, and a quality back-up. Krasic could fill the 'back-up' role, but based on performances, he could make the right-wing spot his own. He can also play on the left, and I would take him over Stewart Downing any day of the week.

pass... rather have younger hungrier and on less wages
ReplyDeleteThe media linked us all over the world....as long as BR wanted rather than board said so....any additional player is good news....
ReplyDeletebut i want to know what other fans Point Of View
Milos Krasic VS Theo Walcott VS (some name/linked in past i missed not your fantasy game imagination ok)
Seems like a stop gap player, fill a hole. Not sure what his wages are like, but he could fulfill the role Maxi or Bellamy did last year. Good enough to start but not every game.
ReplyDeleteWe're desperately lacking in depth a solid core but Bellamy, Gerrard, Cole, Carra are all getting on and probably won't be used every game. I'm hoping Coates, Wilson, Pacheco (though 3 managers have passed over him so there must be a problem), Sterling and especially Suso see more game time as thats where much of our future squad lies since we don't have the budget of Chelsea or probably even Tottenham. He would definitely add quality to the wing and he can't be worse than Downing can he?
Krasic is not good enough for Liverpool, his stats are shocking, he wasn't getting a game for Juventus last season because they had better players in their squad simple as that, if he came to Liverpool he wouldn't get a game, we have reserve players such as Toni Silva and Raheem Sterling that are far better than Krasic IMO. Lets face it, his agent even said he has had no offers for Krasic so that says it all
ReplyDeleteGOAL! GOAL! GOAL! GOAL! GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!
ReplyDeleteWell why don't we have the budget. You go and buy a club the size of Liverpool and don't have money to invest in players. It's time to hack the manager and spend up.
ReplyDeleteSorry. I meant back the manager.
ReplyDeleteNO!!!!! 27? Nah want ramirez, miralas(belgium striker scored over 20+ goals an only 10 million)and allan! :)
ReplyDeleteLike Sterling...
ReplyDeleteand carroll might go back to newcastle..alan pardew has confirmed this...want to get bak 35 mil but 25 will do..
ReplyDeleteWith the type of game BR is going to play
ReplyDeletehe will not be using wingers,Suarez & Borini
can both play wide.
pass d douche bag else were aint good enough!!!!
ReplyDeletedream on! be lucky with 15
ReplyDeleteyet another unfounded (not by JK) story by agents trying to big up there clients. I appreciate JK just repeats some of the stories doing the rounds but so far Borini aside we have been linked with over 100 players which is ridiculous. more so when BR himself said we had only made 4 or 5 enquiries (Borini Sigturdsson and 2 poss 3 others) even Gaston thingy was supposed to be (according to 2 very respected south american journos) 48 hours away from signing this was about 3 weeks ago. Again seems like nonsense.
ReplyDeleteJK i have been trying to find the link from KD when he said Chelsea where quoted whatever NUFC wanted for Carroll plus 15m he definately said it because I watched him say it but I cant finfd it anywhere. Can you help. I have this theory that if we sell AC for 20 million then really we received 35m for Torres which is and was probably the right level for him anyway
Either this video is crap or he is a rubbish player!
ReplyDeletei like the 2 respective journalist thing hahahhaaa
ReplyDeleteWhilst your trying to find that out, is it also true that Newcastle get a cut of Carroll's next transfer? I remember this was doing the rounds around the time we signed him.
ReplyDeleteIf i may add my own two cents. If i were to chose a player for the right hand side of midfield I would rather go with Walcott over Krasic. With the manager really interested in Walcott there seems little chance that we will even think twice about Krasic.
ReplyDeleteI remember that he was hell bent to go to Juventus when he was at CSKA Moscow because the grass is always greener on the other side or so he thought anyway. I actually remember watching him on CSKA take Man U apart and he was the main offensive pain in United's ass in that Champion's league game. He actually got a little praise from Sir Alex and they were rumors that Sir Alex were even contemplating pursuing the player. Of course we know that never happened.
I think we need to make Theo Walcott a priority on the right side , if Rodgers then wants to sign Krasic as a back up then that is entirely upto him.
Maybe mate I didnt read it at the time but I definately saw the KD press conference were he stated the terms not so much of Carrolls arrival but more of Torres departure. it would be interesting to see if they get a cut of the sell on although I suspect it would only be for anything over and above 35m you wouldnt give a club a cut of any deal that was for less than you paid I dont think
ReplyDeleteWho knows, who knows, as time wasn't exactly on our side at the time to play hardball during negotiations, as it was late on in the transfer window and how we juggling the Torres transfer as well with the Carroll one. Hopefully the club didn't.
ReplyDeletewe want at least 17m
ReplyDeleteNo Thanks we'll pass, no need for another mediocre player. Also KEEP CARROLL its only been 18 months for crying out loud.
ReplyDeleteNot good enough for Liverpool smoke another, 8th place after blowing there wallets on anything that could run last year. LFC will not win another league title for atleast the next decade. Carling Cup though!!! good luck u plug
