'We're in talks' - Agent reveals 'interest' in £10m 20-goal LFC target. bid?

The Agent of Belgian International Kevin Mirallas has confirmed that the striker is 'in talks' with an unidentified club at the moment, and with Liverpool currently linked with a move for the prolific striker, could Brendan Rodgers be negotiating a deal behind the scenes?

Mirallas' proposed move to Bayern Munich fell through recently, and in an interview with Sudpresse, Christophe Henrotay - the 24-year-old's agent - explained the situation, and hinted at further interest. He said:

"Bayern won’t take him, but this is just because they have bought Xherdan Shaqiri from Basel – but they were very interested in Kevin, and this does not mean there is not more interest in him

"We’re still in talks with another club at the moment. Discussions are ongoing, but we did not speak about the financial aspect yet. I can’t say any more"

According to newspaper reports today, Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is watching Mirallas, who can play either out wide or up front'.

Mirallas is keen for a move away from Olympiakos but he concedes that any transfer depends on the wishes of his family:

"It's a dream to play for a top European club, but my family needs to decide, especially given the impending birth of our first child"

£10m-rated attacker grabbed an excellent 20 goals and 7 assists in 25 games for Olympiacos last season, and his contract expires in 2014.

  1. Looks like a fantastic complement to Suarez and Borini. You wouldn't know who to mark and where each one would pop up.

  2. Not seen too much of him but seems like a player that would fit into a interchanging front three. The Belgians have got a really good group of players at the moment, even if it isn't the most united of groups at international level.

Good player I said this on your other post for players to sign! This guy is class and young! Would suit suarez, borini and they can interchange upfront.

  5. Never seen him play but his video highlights suggest he is a Cristiano Ronaldo type of player who likes to show off, though he does look like a good player.

    Jaimie,

I've heard it's Arsenal not us from someone who works in the player agent world.

  10. Arsenal do operate with a front three of sorts, so would make sense for Arsenal I guess if Walcott and RVP leave.

  11. By the way, his buy out clause (according to Sky sports) is E10m, around £6.5m. Making him a real bargain.

  18.  Signings we should be targeting are Walcott, Ramirez + the latest 0ne to be in the name of Mirallas...

On personal point of view Dempsy is a good player but his age is against our market realistically lets look else where and the biggest problem to get rid off is Charlie Adam he should be sent out on loan or be sold outright i dont fancy him one bit!!!

Do you really think that Newcastle will win anything ?

Newcastle remind me of Tottenham play a couple of seasons well get a Champions League place and they start bragging.
Trust me just like Tottenham, Newcastle will not win anything next season.
I'd also be amazed if Arsenal win anything as well.

Top four 2012/13 season as follows:

    Man City
    Man Utd

The rest of those places are open between the following:

    Liverpool, Arsenal,Chelsea,Tottenham and Newcastle.

  22. If we scouted properly we would be buying such quality players on the cheap, no need to pay silly money as good players are out there!!!

  23. Looks like a very good player, infact he reminds me of aguero but quicker and more skills.

  24. Personally think you lot who think carroll should go are fuckwits.
He may of had a bad season but so did our whole squad bar a few
At least if we have Carroll there would eb a plan B it tika taka does not work.
At 23 ,one more season would not hurt to see if the potential finally comes through
It will be painful next season if we let him go and he rips us apart

  25. Yeah, very creative... created a lot of trouble for his own team with his slack passing & misplaced passes!

  26. "and with Liverpool currently linked with a move for the striker"
Please show us the concrete link to where Liverpool are linked with the striker Jamie, or stop this transfer drivel, its a load of crap this piece,

  27. Come on Charlie. Shouldn't you be out on the field playing? Does BR know you are "pseudonym-ing" on here?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I completely agree with you. All this talk is simply guesswork and nobody has actually seen if he does or does not fit the style of play we are told we will have. If only , as you say, for the plan B option at his age he should be allowed a further six months at least. NUFC are ready to crow once more on how they will have conned LFC should he return there! If he is going then let it be abroad.....

  29. JK do we have some solid info because this lad is a handful to defenders and would make a god complimentary signing to LFC

  30. OC Ashavin is available any takers?

    ReplyDelete
  31. NOT him, sorry he holds on to the ball for way too long, I think he is selfish

    ReplyDelete
  32. I like him but bit of a luxury player. For me, he is a central second-striker and for that reason, I don't see him being a good fit for a Rodgers' style as I don't think he will use a second-striker type position but who knows.

Arsenal have used him as a wide forward mainly but before (and now, especially with Danny out injured) at Zenit and for Russia, the second-striker role is his position. He showed some good bits and pieces at Arsenal but I don't think he ever felt at home in that left wing position, especially with the defensive responsibilities that came with that role.

  33. It's not that Liverpool is a bad side, they showed glimpse of beating top sides at times occasionally last season. It's the players that underperformed. Really miss those days where Liverpool was once the feared team in the Champions League 7 years ago.

  34. Nobody know how Rodgers' team will eventual play so it is silly to simply disregard any striker out of hand. He is good and he has a good price.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Like I clearly said in English, 'but who knows', in relation to how Rodgers' tactics will be. To put it simply for you, I haven't completely ruled him out.
