Juventus winger Milo Krasic has been persistently linked with Liverpool FC this year, and yesterday, his Agent emphatically confirmed that the Serbian winger will leave Italy at the end of the season.
Krasic's agent, Vlado Borozan, has been steadily feeding the press information about the winger's situation over the last few months, and this week, he was at it again, when he told Tuttomercatoweb:
"We [Krasic] will definitely leave Juventus. He wants to leave, he has not been playing regularly and because of this his his time in Italy has come to an end, and he is ready to go to another country".
When specifically asked about the possibility of a move to the the Premier League, Borozan seemed to confirm Liverpool's interest in the player:
"Tottenham or Liverpool? There are many teams who want to sign him, believe me".
With only 7 appearances this season, €17m-rated Krasic has been staggeringly underused this season, to the extent that he probably won't even qualify for a Serie A winner's medal. No wonder he's desperate to leave Italy.
Alas, like so many of Liverpool's current players, Krasic is just not consistent enough. Last season, he got six goals and six assists in 37 starts, which is creditable, but at one point, he scored only two goals in 24 games.
On the plus side, the Serb is undoubtedly talented, and at 27, he's entering what should be the prime of his career, so a team that uses him properly could reap the rewards.
Worth a look in the summer? With Dirk Kuyt probably leaving, Liverpool need at least two right-sided players IMO: A top class right midfielder/winger, and a quality back-up. Krasic could fill the 'back-up' role, but based on performance, he could make the right-wing spot his own. He can also play on the left, and I would take him over Stewart Downing any day of the week.

Note - Krasic may be the worst cheater in the game.
ReplyDeletekenny has stated the only player leaving is Aurelio. so if krasic comes in kuyt would become a squad player
ReplyDeleteWe need better wingers than we have got. Please bring in players with pace and skill for once!
ReplyDeleteNo Thanks. We don't need squad players we already have them since we bought them last year. We need starting XI quality .
ReplyDeletesounds like shite spouted by an agent to get his cut of a transfer fee, do we want reserve wingers from Juventus
ReplyDeletethis guy is crap ...why we would we pay mega bucks for juventus sub.....heres the deal well take him for nothing you pay half the wages and if he plays 40 games well buy him ...sound familiar
ReplyDeleteJust how exactly will he start ahead of Henderson,Adam,Downing or Spearing. He'll have to b hell of a player to play ahead of them or he will b warming Liverpool bench.
ReplyDeleteKuyt is already a squad player.
ReplyDeleteHe won't start ahead of them because he isn't British.
ReplyDeleteWe bought Christian "The Glacier" Poulsen didn't we? He'd been sub for two years.
ReplyDeleteWell Krasic is worth no where near 17 mill euro Juventus are trying to profit on a failure what a joke and although he is not a true winger i would rather have Kuyt.
ReplyDeleteJamie K - The master of old news.
ReplyDelete7 mil. at most. This guy should be begging for opportunity in a team like Liverpool not Liverpool begging to get him.
ReplyDeleteStraight swap for Aquillani would be good too .
He is miles better than the British crap we have but still not good enough if we want to regain our World Class status.
ReplyDeleteWow Bekim you make it sound like Adam , Downing or Spearing are really that good mate. I do not believe either of these players would start on Arsenal or Man U or any top club in Europe. Yeah Krasic can come in and start ahead of them. I could come in and start ahead of them.
ReplyDeleteGood point. Kenny has a fondness for local talent and he learn't an important lesson that local talent alone won't get it done in the premiere league simply because all the other teams are keen to find talented foreigners from across the globe. He is moving in the right direction with his pursuit of Gaston Ramirez a very talented Uruguayan foot-baller. Get him Kenny
ReplyDeleteFailure? Not worth the money? Far to expensive? Great, see you in the famous red shirt next season then.
ReplyDeletehe snubbed Liverpool
ReplyDeletePay 17 million for a lazy, greedy (on the pitch, if you note the goals that he failed to score and did not cross the ball to a better positioned team mate!) player to replace a proven work-horse Dirk Kuyt? Replace the true red who is loved by the dressing room for a moaning prima-donna?
ReplyDeleteThanks but No Thanks.
Now, if he was on Bosman and didn't demand huge wages, then I'd say get him as a squad player.
carrol now looks confident and looks better than he,s eva been for any club. next season he,ll a top player.wat dos,nt kill ya makes you stronger and he looks invincible for the last 4 5 weeks he l come good
ReplyDeleteRAFAAAAAAA RAAAAAAFFFFFFAAAAAA WE NEED RAFAAAAAAAAAA NOT CRAP PLAYERS!!!!!!! GET RID OF THAT OLD CLUELESS CALLED FOOLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe Sunday tabloids are linking us to Roberto Martinez and the signing of Mohamed Diame also from Wigan. Diame a holding midfielder cannot get in the Wigan side and is out of contract.. Strange correlation linked to the manager and to a player he doesnt give a game too.
ReplyDeleteRafa has gone and will never come back so get over it and move on.
ReplyDeletepatience we got alot ov new players last season
ReplyDeleteSpot on. It's called Marketing.
ReplyDeleteMight as well bring back Shanks from the dead. You the clueless fool. Do you know the meaning of a 3 years football plan?
ReplyDeleteyou could come in and start ahead of krasic so could Stanley mathews even in his present state.Point is if krasic is not good enough for Juve why is he good enough for a big club like liverpool, ask aquilani.
ReplyDeleteYeah right! you are a funny guy.
ReplyDeletegaston ramirez is alot younger and alot more promising at around the same price.... much better option... hes only 21 and alot better than krasic
ReplyDeleteA Sunday tabloid once said that a WWII bomber was found on the moon!
ReplyDeleteThat has been our main problem this season creating chances without taking them most of the games we dropped point at home has been the case. I remember against Norwich they had one shot which was the point they got but we ended up with a draw after missing and hitting the woodwork 3times.
ReplyDeleteWe have Stirling for free, why not to save money and play him? He showed more in 10 minutes played than other better rated players in all season!
ReplyDeletehe did before moving yo juve, I'm not referring to whats going on now.
ReplyDeleteHa! I forgot someone actually took that lump off goo off our hands :D
ReplyDeleteThey could do a lot worse than krasic though, he is fast and has fairly good technical attributes. You just need to get a hold on his mental weaknesses.
17m is a bit steep but thats half what they paid for andy carroll, so it still would not be their worst deal. I would say 12.5m is a fair evaluation. Over 10m for sure but maybe not quite 15m.
Also, liverpool fans seem to have a rather inflated opinion of themselves. They are not exactly in a position to sign superstars. Just because juventus had better players ahead of him this season does not make him no longer a good player, it just made him more eager to bounce back strong.
Liverpool would be foolish to let him go to tottenham or newcastle while they hopelessly chase hazard, RVP or cavani or whoever else they think they have a shot at.
because his quality falls in between that of the two clubs.....
ReplyDeleteIts not that hard to process. He is not good enough to make the juve first team, but he is still a quality player, better than most of what liverpool calls its midfield.
In what world is liverpool a "big" club as opposed to juventus? Juventus won the league this year and were undefeated all season.
Liverpool came 8th.
Seriously, what is up with liverpool fans? What you should be worrying abut is how you can convince a current league champion that its worth his while giving up any hope of future silverware in exchange for playing time at liverpool. At least totenham can offer Champions league and newcastle and everton have europa league to offer.
we love Czechs, he will add to Berger and smicer, i wouldnt mind a dribbler in our ranks, and hes the kind of player we want
ReplyDeletesee u there as well
