Former Manchester United captain Bryan Robson believes that Everton can go all the way in this season's FA Cup competition, and he's hoping that the Blues put Liverpool to the sword in the upcoming semi-final at Wembley.
As an ex-Manchester United player, Bryan Robson has more reason than most to dislike Liverpool FC, but his animosity towards the club was probably solidified during his stint as the manager of Middlesbrough in 2000.
Robson was furious with Liverpool for snatching away German defender Christian Ziege, and accused Gerard Houllier of 'tapping-up' up the player, and unnecessarily 'dragging out' the transfer process.
Since that time, Robson has never had a good word to say about Liverpool, so it should come as no surprise that he's hoping Everton turn Kenny Dalglish's team over at Wembley. He told Everton's official website:
"Everton can go all the way in the competition [and] I'm hoping they beat Liverpool. Okay, Liverpool, they're a good team, they've got some good players, but Everton, on their day, can beat anybody. I think they're always well organised, they've got some top players and so there's no reason why they can't get through"
On semi-final day, let's hope Everton are as 'well organised' as they were in the recent 3-0 hammering at Anfield.

Some people just can't let things go was a poor manager can't stand 2 see any1 else succeed
ReplyDelete3-0 Hammering?? Everton rested half their first team and bascially threw the game.
ReplyDeleteHow much have Liverpool spent and are currently sitting behind Everton in the league.
liverpools worst run of games in the league for over fifty years and are still only one point behind everton
ReplyDeleteEven we would be delighted if Man City can win the league.
ReplyDeleteStu - I agree with your points, and the result may have been different if Everton played their best team; but on the night, it was a hammering.
ReplyDeleteLiverpool are dog poo and are a joke . with an old man with an old reputation .. come on efc hammer them
ReplyDeleteHow is it bitter? I'm sure Liverpool want Utd to lose every game that they play but they would never call themselves bitter for doing so.
ReplyDeleteLfc supporters have taken bitter and twisted to a new extreme. Always the victims, never to blame
ReplyDeleteIf Moyes had spent the kind of money that Dalgleish has
ReplyDeleteover the last 12 months Everton would be easily 20 points better off now.
the law of averages suggests we will not beat one EPL side 3 times in a season. Morale and form under KD add's to that unlikely hood. Everton's desire and respect for their managers 'project' is the final indication that, to me, a staunch but realistic red, that everton will beat us...and even if they do not, spurs and chelsea are on better form/team spirit than us.
ReplyDeleteid put LFC as 4th favourites for the FA cup.
anyway, regardless of all that, winning the FA cup would only paper over the chasms. KD is from the old school, his opinion regarding 2 trophies ends up sounding more like spin because every body knows-these days its all about being in europe's top competition, and for so many reasons.
we don't look even close to being a top 4 side, let alone competitive should we get into the CL. i would actually dread seeing us in the CL under kenny. Hollywood adam giving away possession and fouls every 15 minutes, and henderson doing his scared crab impression, would be painfully comical.
his end of season report is going to read something like-worthless mug winners, fa cup semi finalists/finalists, league -8th. success of purchases 1/10. however i believe he'll get one last season and a chance to manage in europe one last time...then we'll get to see just how out of date, and mind 'the king' is.
Jack from London supports United like all his scummy friends
ReplyDeleteclassic blue nose. ifs and buts that never come true.
ReplyDeleteJoe
ReplyDeleteHow many times I've I heard a Liverpool fans say this? Countless times. Worst run in fifty years, even though they've 100+ million, really shows how crap Liverpool have become. LAL
we better beat villa and blackburn and get some confidence back before the semi final because if we go there with 2 more defeats that tie is lost, everton might be favorites, we dont have reina, johnson, agger and our confidence right now is below 0 so.. wouldnt be surprised if everton beats us
ReplyDeleteKnobhead. london, eh who do you support, Chelsea???
ReplyDeleteHe will have his chance when he replaces Ferguson and ruins man Utd. Moyes has spent silly money on shite players as well!!! Bilyetidinov 12m!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTypical ex Manc!!! Should piss off back to Thailand and whatever attracts him there!!!!! Funny how n o Football Club Chairman has been interested in what he has got to say after he wasted millions at Boro and left them where they are today. Nice One Robson!!!!
ReplyDeleteBitter this, bitter that. Have you lot looked at your managers face lately? And not to mention his treatmeat of the press.
ReplyDeleteWhat if Everton hammer liverpool in the next FA cup round, will those who support KD finally capitulate and demand his removal or will they hope we get there next time round LOL?
ReplyDeleteIt makes me sick when I c ex Lfc players praising MU and it happens very very often. There u have an ex manc publicly wanting Liverpool to lose. KD should make every player read that. And if that doesn't give them little more motivation than they shouldn't play football at all.
ReplyDeleteWhatever! Get back to your one & only love, no not manure, the bottle, Brian!
ReplyDeleteNot having Reina could be a good thing!
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough Robbo and modern day Dalglish are one and the same in terms of managerial ability. Robbo reached two finals and got relegated, if the season were longer we'd probably do the same with the form we're showing. Like you say both have spent a fortune on a few players when the money would have been better of invested on improving the squad.
ReplyDeleteWho knows? maybe Terry Venables will come in and help Kenny out until the end of the season the way he bailed (and destroyed!) Robbos career at Boro. Robbo's credibility rating after that was zero, still is.
Everton the charity case club!
ReplyDelete'cant stand 2 see any1 else succeed'
ReplyDeleteerm he quite clearly wants Everton to...
can only beat whats put in front of you but yes, it was definitely a weak Everton team
ReplyDeletePlayers rested last time out... I can't wait to beat you at Wembley. Even sitting 8th in the league, you still talk like you are the best team in the league... I hope we give you a nice dose of reality! COYB! By the way, which part of Norway are you from? :)
ReplyDeleteI love it when the mancs of yesteryear come out and show their hatred for Liverpool. Poor ickle wobby, who was the 'DADDY' when you were playing. Its just about time a club with millions of supporters worldwide will push Liverpool on to knock them off their perch, mind you it wont take half as long as it did for fergy LMAO
ReplyDeleteHahaha. That's good one.
ReplyDeleteWhy dont all you guys lay off Kanwar!
ReplyDeleteCan't you see he always makes a decent case defending Uncle Roy and his signings like Poulsen and Konchesky!
Shame on you, that's not the Liverpool way!
And its certainly not Crictial realism!
red n white shite,red n white shite.....coyb
ReplyDeleteWhat's he got to be bitter about sorry??
ReplyDeleteHe played for and supports the most successful english league team!!!!
Any more delusional points to be made???
jamie is woys son from his time in sweden
ReplyDeleteChi Bai lu, Robson you are not a good manager , you are injury prone player for England. And my Puki Ibu tells me you have a bad blood for Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteSo a former Mankies player isn't backing Liverpool? Big deal. Get over it and let's all move on.
ReplyDeleteabout over 70% of the country will want everton to win. wats new?
ReplyDeleterobson as a manger now thats funny.
everton are favourites and so they should be.
you never know which liverpool team will turn up.
i will tell you what i find amusing us the fact that an english team like shitterpool, has a fansite called shitterpool kop, has the word soccer as a sport, just because brainless yanks purchased your beloved team, you are still in england (even though nobody understands a word you speak, this is england and the game is FOOTBALL captain marvel played FOOTBALL... and its not only machester united that want everton to win, IT IS EVERYBODY THAT HATES MUMBLY JOE KING KOPOUT he's a loser,he's a loser..
ReplyDeleteIRWA i'd rather walk alone.
how on earth can a young boy like yourself, have a dig about fans being from other countries, just scroll up to the top ofthis page, just above the words loserpool kop is the word soccer, anybody that pretends to follow an english team knows we use the name FOOTBALL,AND RYAN I AM SURE YOURMUM WILL CARRY ON BREASTFEEDING YOU,IF YOU CARRY ON IN YOUR TANTRUMS...
ReplyDeleteIRWA (i'd rather walk alone.
and whatabout IF mumbly joe fails to win the FAC he is finished BUT you did win the egg cup (with a little help from the foreheads cousin, wonder how much stevie paid him.
ReplyDeleteIRWA
Nothing new there. I'm quite sure that ex-Liverpool players all want to see Utd lose, specially if it was against their city neighbours. Robson was about the only Man Utd player I coveted as a Liverpool fan in the 1980s. Crap manager though. I don't see why these comments are an issue at all really.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness they did
ReplyDeleteWe'd have 5 points from last 36 otherwise!!! :(
Everton, and Moyes, deserve a trophy after a decade of massively over achieving
ReplyDeleteOnly for the fact that they are playing us, I wouldn't begrudge them an FA cup win
Maybe Robbo is talking in these terms
Robbo hey what a manager he turned out as, a complete FAILURE, living off his name now, who cares what he says why even print it, as for the game, if we win then go liverpool BUT my heart says KD BUT my head says he still gotta go, what ever happened to our CITY, now we have
ReplyDeleteD__kheads in red/white, blue /white fighting, it was never like that, BRING out a RED/Blue scarf for derbys only, and show the rest of the world that the CITY of liverpool is at wembly and i can say hand on heart if Everton beat us then GOOD LUCK and bring back another cup to OUR city what a tour that would be around liverpool at end of season, a Liverpool and Everton Bus, make our CITY PROUD AGAIN.
thats ok you have a good run but your still crap blue shite ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteIm not sure if someone understand a single word u wrote there!! "english boy" ;)
ReplyDeleteHow can u know that?? Maybe he would do even worst than Dalglish! CLASSIC STORY FROM GAY EVERTON FANS....but who can blame them?? they are the ones that cant win a shite!! Rafa was in very similar situation with low budget but still he managed to win CL, fa cup, once without top4 finish!!!
ReplyDeleteactually billy was bought for £9m and we got £4 back for him.
ReplyDeleteandy carroll £35m and you will be lucky to get £3.50 for the waste of space!
jordan henderson £18m hahaha how much do you think you will get for him? he's championship level at very best.
agent kenny has lost the plot!
I actually think that the whole squad is waiting for this game and the poor form makes us underdogs, which will suit us. It'll be close but i really think we will win this game.
ReplyDeleteuuuhmm yeah, bitter reds, what does it matter what Robson says ? manchester is 30 miles away, nothing to do with the city of Liverpool? only the mass ranks of Liverpool fans(not supporters) could be bothered what a manc says. these are the same people who actually believe man united is their local derby, only possible if you have no idea about the city of Liverpool!!.sad but true why the term bitter reds now becoming so prominent!!!
ReplyDeleteyor all gay boys
ReplyDeleteOOPS hope good old `BILL` does`nt sell to Yanks or you`ll just erm be happy??? By the way the IRWA was funny first time round, now its like your club just boring!!!
ReplyDeleteBut NEVER as bitter as a bluenose, you`ve had SOOOOO long perfecting it !!!
ReplyDeleteLike before xmas it was evertons worst start to a season. Yet according to Aldo and the real bitters you were playing amazing but not scoring. Even when KKK got banned Aldo said he was the best striker in the league. When Arsenal won at klu klux klanfield. He said you would be up therefore the league if u have RVP.Even though you had the best striker. Now its going pete tong your in crisis and and need to get rid of the average buys. Yet in the summer you had a great transfer window. Kiss my hoop
ReplyDeleteIt's always made me laugh that LFC supporters call us "the bitters" ??? I've never come across a set of supporters so pre-occupied and twisted as these same people are towards Man U !! We are bitter, bitter at what you lot cost us in 1985, simple ! Not bitter at trophies and titles won ? We know our history and we are PROUD, not embarassed !!!!!
ReplyDeleteno way - we'll miss pepe badly over the next few weeks - all for one moments stupidity and the rush of blood to the head and the cowardly play acting of perch .
ReplyDeletealso it will be a very different Everton in the semi final to the one we battered the other week - too many of our fans are actingg like the FAC is already in the bag and that makes me nervous.
you sad blue your the first club out of merseyside and the worst.lol
ReplyDeleteWhy is he 'bitter'? Just because he doesn't want Liverpool to win the semi final? Name me one LFC legend who has publicly said in the past that he'd like Man Utd to win a key game? Exactly - you won't find anyone, because LFC and Man Utd are rivals and hate each other equally. Some of you LFC fans don't half make me laugh. The rest of the world is not in love with your football club just because you are, and someone claiming they'd rather LFC's opponents win than LFC doesn't make them bitter. It means they support another team. You lot need to get the ridiculous chip on your shoulders and sense of entitlement removed.
ReplyDeleteso bryan, have you no more corrupt deals in the pipeline???? thanks for your boring opinions, i'm sure there are other tv presenters for you to cheat on your wife with, just waiting with baited breath....tosser.
ReplyDeleteah bless, another bitter predicting a pounding for us against them at wembley.........yep,just like you did before. as for the norway comment, it just shows how much bigger and globally more attractive we are than your insular little club.
ReplyDeleteyes 1985......not bitter, twisted, upset and pre-occupied over events 27 years ago then??? what did we cost you exactly?? a tilt at the european cup, wow!! i don't find arsenal fans wanking on about not being in it back in the late 80's early 90's. no, times move on and so should you.
ReplyDeletejust a quick request to everton fans. have any of you got that champions lge commemorative shirt, from 2005/06??? if so, keep hold of them. rare, obscure footy shirts go for a fortune on ebay. you may need to produce proof of authenticity as you only got to view it a couple of times and like your european cup exploits, they are as rare as rocking horse shit.............oh yes, 1985, but it doesn't bother you does it!?!?!?
ReplyDeleteliverpool will never learn the joke of europe
ReplyDelete????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
ReplyDelete"I'm hoping Everton beat Liverpool because that game is just before the
ReplyDeleteOld Trafford game and we want them to have their mind on the FA Cup and
not on the league at that time."
well done with the quotes though to get a story out of it but think you'll find that's not being bitter
We are bitter and twisted . . . . . . . . . Have you checked your name out ?? You sum up my argument perfectly...... THANKYOU !!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!
ReplyDeleteSeems to me like there are alot of fans from both sides who have no idea about merseyside derby's and FA semi's, form is out the window if you carn't raise your game for a Wembly semi and a derby to boot then you might as well give up.
ReplyDeleteAs I said earlier, the reason our European exploits are so rare is very simple. Twice as league champions, in an era when the English champions only had to turn up to win it ala Forest, Villa, your shower of shit, we were not allowed, hmmm wonder why ??? Oh yes I remember, it was all those Chelsea, Millwall and Man Utd fans that turned up at your final to murder those poor Italians !! You see Mr bitter Manc hater, your club have always shifted the blame, not just lately under KKK. Thats why the whole country hates you, your club, your morals(or lack of them) and your fickle supporters ! Everton ? Well, we just have a proud history and respect throughout the world ! No blood or shame in our wonderful club !!! Now go and put your 10 scarfs on and your brilliant white reebok trainers and grab a pint of your finest BITTER at the Arkles !! Hahahahahahahaha !!!
ReplyDeleteAll I want to add is "Merseyside, Merseyside,Merseyside- eventough the blues have become the manure retirement home! So f.uck off all you mancs (the red supporters) watch Barca , Real, BILBAO, Valencia, Athletico how to play football.
ReplyDeleteNO,NO,NO H8utd - my friend you have slightly got it wrong!!
ReplyDeleteBrian is now singing our SUAREZ; " I JUST CAN'T GET IT UP , I JUST CAN'T GET IT UP"
Love how everyone is bitter apart from Liverpool fans, it sounds like the most bitterness is saved for whoever they are playing next. For such a once proud club to turn into a caricature of all the things they hate..Racism..cheating..diving..and the least said 'about Dalglish's after game ramblings of a mad man' the better....shamefull
ReplyDeleteStrange, you normally use these sorts of comments as "proof" to support your anti-liverpool views. There is no point jumping on board now that ship has sailed.
ReplyDeleteProbably heard it 50 years ago Sherlock are all everton fans as dim as you
ReplyDeletesmall club
ReplyDeleteHenderson will come good. I remember u bitters takin the p*ss out of Lucas now he is the best midfielder about when your a big club you can make the odd duff signing, but when ur a small club well. 1 point ahead and our worst run for 50 years well done boys give yourselves 3 cheers cos u wont get a cup to celebrate tell ya mam ye mam to wipe away all the tears no trophys for 17 years haha ur a joke off a club.
ReplyDeleteSssshhhoooossshhh
ReplyDeleteYOUR comment is a joke,it shows your intelligence. Are you a 5 year old?
ReplyDeleteCome on guys, you all sound bitter and twisted. Everton and Liverpool are all bitter and for many different reasons. I don't give a shite what Robson says. What will be will be next Saturday, let's all behave ourselves and make Merseyside proud. I love my club with all my heart and after the match we will all have to work and live together. Some of the comments I received from work colleagues after their team had won at Anfield was disgusting ,scum I am not.
ReplyDeleteJustice for the 96
From a bitter blue
Clearly there's bitterness on both sides. Anyone who says otherwise is blinkered.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a semi with the supporters singing 'merseyside merseyside merseyside' but i doubt it heavily. It's a shame that our once great Derby has descended to the same level other derbies. It was what made our Derby special, now it's just like any other.
I love seeing all you delusional Reds. You are doing great. Keep up the good work Kenny, you are doing a cracking job. 10 more years for Kenny please. Can't wait to see his summer signings. I have heard Djemba Djemba is available......to the reds the price will be a small £12million
ReplyDeleteOne funny thing about fans of Man Utd and Liverpool Football Club BA
ReplyDelete(Hons) is, the louder each set of fans shouts about how much
better/different they are than the other set, the more similar the two
sets appear. George Galloway would perhaps put in another way.
"Moyes has spent silly money on shite players as well"
To some extent, yes. But Dalglish has been by far the sillier of the two managers. The silliest manager in the Prem perhaps (he certainly looked it in that daft t-shirt).
Price per point:
Liverpool - £7,525,423.73
Everton - £48,192.77
To quote Aldridge, "a laughing stock".
Whatever happens next Saturday, I just hope there's no controversy about the result (and that it goes resoundingly to form!)
Yes, should be a great occasion for the city of Liverpool.
ReplyDeleteYes, i agree. Time to grow up.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with you? Everton and Liverpool is a great rivalry, they need each other. Don't you look forward to the fixture and get excited?
ReplyDeleteBlimey! i though this post was about a crooked ex manure player( you know, the one who speaks as though he's had a stroke) not a slanging match between scousers. Just look forward to a great day out and hope the match is a good one.
ReplyDeleteEverton fans looking for attention on a Liverpool website.
ReplyDeleteHow the hell J.Kanwar allows this disgusting slur is beyond me. You are certainly no fan of football, bigot.
ReplyDeleteRegardless of Liverpool's current malaise, Gollum has never won anything...
No evidence that that's going to change
nugget
ReplyDeletethey have not won at anfield for10 years i suppose they had a weak team out all that time or is it they are just a weak team
ReplyDeletewanker i can smell somthing oh its bullshit
ReplyDeletewhy are you on redsites closset red worry more about david moyes football genius instead of trawling lfc websites
ReplyDeleteprick
ReplyDeleteStill don't understand how you lot can call any other set of fans bitter. Biggest bunch of moaning hard done to bitters involved in football. P.S. I'm not an Everton fan, thats just how everyone else see you
ReplyDeleteAnyone remember Kerry Dixon's 'I'll Pot The Reds' quote prior to the title win at Stamford Bridge in '86...Dalglish put the quote on the dressing room wall....If that's what it takes Kenny put Robson's words up there also
ReplyDeleteLook, I'm a bluenose and like every other Bluenose am nervous but excited about next week. So close to another FA Cup final but just the small hurdle of Liverpool being in the way :-) The reds, for reasons I can't get my head around, have been struggling for results recently but on their day are a match for anyone. Whereas over the last few months we've become hard to beat as we usually are after January - for reasons I also can't get my head around as to why it takes half a season. With regards to the result at Anfield is WAS a hammering - no Evertonian will argue with that but a lot of us feared the worse when we saw Anichebe and Stracqualursi up front alone never mind the other changes made in the lineup. I trust Moysey, and he knows a damn sight more about the day to day running of Everton than I do, so I guess he had his reasons and I reluctantly accepted this decision despite everything. As it turns out we're doing ok now and my wounds are all licked and healed up - but Liverpool were terrific that night as well. All I ask for, and I'm sure the reds feel the same way, is a cracking game next week with both teams going at it at full throttle and fans on both sides getting along as we did all those years back when Merseyside ruled the way. Come on lads, no more bitterness lets just hope it's a belter and the best team on the day wins (long as it's Everton :-))
ReplyDeletehow sad you are,you really need to get a life. you evertonian sad sacks really need to get a grip of yourselves, you were not good enough to ever win the european champions cup, so lets moan and moan that in 1985/86/87/88/89/90/91/92/93etc you would have won it if it wasn't for those bad red men!!! bollocks, fuck off and get a life you would never be good enough, you sad, deluded cunts.
ReplyDeleteHey Franna_h , hope you are doing well. I have LFC blood running in my vains, but as you say I hope it is going to be a fantastic match. Lets all be shouting Merseyside, Merseyside as we did many years ago in the final.
ReplyDeleteI actually think that Robson represents the view of most of the nation. We're gonna have to deal with a lot of that for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a piece of liverpool shit mind your own business kopites he can say what he likes he is entitled to it up the toffees
ReplyDeleteDream on fella, you wont beat us even after the season weve had! As for resting your players it was more like getting your 1st team players back after injury. That team that played at anfield was more or less your best side you have, check it again! Which part of
ReplyDeletewales are you from ???
Kopites are deluded that they are still a european power and are living in the past. Going by the amount of money spent by Liverpool compared to Everton over the last 10 years I would be embarrased to open my mouth about how good they aresupposed to be!!! They are average at best, and the fact that they are comparing themselves to Everton proves that, I am an Everton fan and respect what we have achieved on a very limited budget. One thing I would say in comparison though, is that we have won the premier league the same amount of times????Let's face it kopites, you'll never be as good as Man U!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWake up & smell the champayne still being drunk at Anfield South's changing room for the REDS, by the REDS.
ReplyDeleteI guess since you lot are now a knackerd's yard & a retirement home for ex-manure players, so you are bound to be subservient to your masters including that of the old Whiskey Nose. Come to think of it that explains why you always roll over when manure are around. You could not win today even with your 12th man in black, bearing we had lost SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many matches and you were in your BEST form , hum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We will end up with 2 CUPS this year wheras your masters with NONE eating humble pie.
I have many many Evertonian friends none of whom is as BITTER as you. Do yourself a favour before having a heart attack support Manure as you already sound like one, do us all a favour and fuck off our site.
Come on you REDS, YNWA
Aharris1064 (MUFC); Wake up and smell the champayne which is still being drunk in the Anfield South's RED changing room by the REDS. Don't be such a sore loser, no wonder the likes of you are called "bitter".
ReplyDeleteAs we all know your team is now the retirement home for very old ex-manure players, no wonder you always roll over and die everytime you play your masters.
Just think we had lost about a million matches in a row and you had your best run for decades and we still beat you!!!!!!
I guess it must really hurt you that by the end of season LFC will have won two cups and your master NONE
So why don't you do yourself a favour and start supporting the team you really love deep down, and we both know that is manure, but remember you have to put up with the stink!!!!!!
Also, do all Kopites a favour and stay on your own site.
Some of my best mates are Evertonians, but none like you , thank god!
Next season we will wipe the smile off your face at S.hite Trafford.
