PROOF that Man Utd THUG Wayne Rooney got Vincent Kompany sent off...

I generally have a very low opinion of the pampered, overpaid ladyboys of modern top-flight football, but if there is one player I despise more than any other, it is Manchester United's disloyal cheating thug, Wayne Rooney.

Rooney has proved time and time again that he has no concept of sportsmanship, class, humility or fair play, and he showed this again on Sunday in the FA Cup third round against Manchester City.

After Vincent Kompany won the ball CLEANLY from Nani, Rooney raced over to spineless 'referee' Chris Foy like a man-possessed and repeatedly brandished an imaginary red card, exhorting Foy to send off the Man City captain. There is no dispute about this: the video footage proves it, as you can see below:

The freeze-frame below clearly shows Rooney with his right arm raised in front of the ref:

Photobucket

Why would Rooney have his arm raised like this in such a context? There is only one reason: he was brandishing the imaginary red card, and trying his damnedest to get a fellow professional sent off.

A fair-minded person would see that Kompany WON THE BALL without even touching Nani, but Rooney's mind is incapable of functioning in that way. By the strict letter of the law it was possibly a sending off, but it's debatable whether it was a genuine two-footed tackled.

After the game, Man City manager Roberto Mancini argued:

"It was not a red card. Rooney told him his decision"

Predictably, Rooney insisted on his Twitter account that he had done nothing wrong.

"Funny how people think I got kompany sent off. Im not ref. i didn't give red card. But it was a clear red card. 2 footed tackle"

It's not funny, it's a disgrace. This kind of behaviour should come as no surprise though considering Rooney's history. He is, after all, one of the Premier League's biggest CHEATS. In 2006, Rooney laughably stated the following:

"I'd never dive. I’d like to think of myself as an honest player. That’s the way I play. I don’t like diving, football doesn’t need it.”

Then, after he dived to win a penalty against Arsenal in September 2009, Rooney made the following claims:

"Everyone who watches me play knows I am an honest player. I play the game as honestly as I can".

What a load of BS. The following evidence contradicts his claims:

Exhibit A: Dive v Blackburn (2008)

Exhibit B: Dive v Spurs (2008) Rooney was booked for this one:

Exhibit C: Dive v Arsenal (2004)

Exhibit D: Dive v Arsenal (2009)

Exhibit E: Dive v Chelsea (2008)

Rooney dive vs Chelsea

Exhibit F: Dive v Slovenia (2009)

Exhibit G: Dive vs. Rangers

Exhibit H: Dive vs. Aston Villa (2009)

I would include Rooney's infamous dive against Villareal in this series but, alas, there is no video footage of it anywhere. The Villareal incident proved once again that Rooney is not only a cheat, but a self-confessed cheat. After the game, Sir Alex Ferguson revealed that Rooney had actually apologised for the dive:

"He apologised to me and said he didn't mean to do that. I think he's been watching Robert Pires too much. At least he apologised to their players. You'd never see Pires do that."

Rooney is the living embodiment of everything that is rotten and corrupted in modern football, and I sincerely hope Kompany's red card is overturned on appeal.

  4. Hmmmm - maybe for fairness you should include a few of Steven Gerrard's dives or the really bad Ngog one we Birmingham a couple of seasons ago....

failing that you could always include Gerrard's famous two footed lunges at people.....

  5. All fair enough, Rooney is a cheat. My only problem is that Kompany was sent off for a two footed tackle with both legs extended and off the floor, which, irrespective of winning the ball cleanly, is considered a red card offence. Whether he won the ball is irrelevant in rules of the game, if I'm not mistaken.

Therefore I hope Kompany's red card is not overturned, because it's the right decision by the letter of the law. In addition (but not impeding my judgment on the issue of the red card), he misses the next two games against Liverpool. Bonus.

If anything, Rooney should be banned for a) being Wayne Rooyney; and b) being Wayne Rooney. This argument I appreciate is barely rational, but I hate the Shrek impersonator so there we have it.

  6. Epic agree. Ferguson doesn't help matters either. But we're talking about 2 representatives of a club who aren't exactly playing on a level playing-field compared to the rest of us.

  7. So do you know a player called Suarez?

  9. How about your scumbag overrated Gerrard.Captain fantastic only at a small club like Hepatitispool .Big fish in a small pond look how poor he is on England duty.Recently rated by far to most overrated player to play for England over last ten years and he even beat Lampard, well done Stevie G.

Kompany never won the ball cleanly, Nani jumped out of the way to prevent his legs being broken.
Kompany has been sent of for this already this season.
Pay up to the Hillsborough charity you have robbed, thieving little fat man.

  11. Aye, him and Gerrard are ridiculously embarassing when it comes to stuff like this

Our Stevie did a dive against the mighty Andorra!

It was hilarious when Stevie was preaching how players should show respect to referees, considering his form

Stevie has got a fine sense of humour. In his book, he moans about how foreign players cheat but he does it himself

Though luckily for Gerrard, he doesn't get as much spotlight that Rooney gets for his behaviour.

Because our Stevie is like the England media's Roy of the Rovers character.

Lucky boy is our Stevie, as he is up there with the worse.

  13. I bet this guy would among the first to jump to the defence of that bastion of honesty and fair play, Luis Suarez. AKA the player who bites and racially abuses his opponents, constantly feigns injury, and commits some of the worst tackles you'll ever see.

And just for the record rooney was holding up 2 fingers to suggest it was a 2 footed challenge, last time i checked u werent allowed to jump in with two feet whether u get the ball or not....so stop yer moaning & worry bout yer own team!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Suarez dives and brandishes imaginary cards all the time - is that alright though?

I am an LFC fan btw

  17.    Another case of scousers bad grace ,you are already disgraced hopefully Rooney will sue your scurrilous rag.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Everything you say about Rooney is correct but the same can be said for most of the millionaire players who are now just pampered brats; But it was a 2 footed studs in the air tackle by Kompany, the only reason it didn't look bad was because Nani jumped out of the way. Spearing was sent off for a similar tackle and Kenny decided not to appeal, so if Mancini appeals and wins then we need to question why Kenny thought it not a good idea to appeal.

  19. All clubs have players who will cheat if they can.  However only certain clubs have players banned for racist comments, and whose fans made a player cry recently with racist taunts.....

    Pot kettle anyone???

    ReplyDelete
  20. We have the worse cheat in the league at present, the player is Suarez of course. Nani wasn't great either but he has toned it down now.

But Suarez is embarrassing. He is the biggest cheat in PL and I feel sad he plays for our club.

  21. if someone dives in the penalty box, it should be the same punisment as the last man situation. the striker should be sent off. if it is outside the box then a yellow card ot be given. this would stop the likes of rooney punting the ball in the box, chasing with the defender only to fall like he has been shot with and elephant gun!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Just heard there Kompany's  appeal has failed. Sad for football soon you wont be allowed kick the ball in case an opposing player gets in the way
On the other hand it means he will miss the match tomorrow, I guess its an ill wind that blows no good

  33. That isn't a clear picture or video of Rooney's hand. You certainly can not tell he was waving a imaginary card, with the low quality picture/video you are showing. Could have easily been illustrating two-fingers for two-footed tackle.

    Expected better, Jaimie.

  41. All these comments...it's all funny.
This is what makes football good, controversy....Every one here acts like they have never played the game themselves. Diving sometimes is unavoidable, it can be a sub-contious act. I think football would be too boring with out it. Two footed challenges, players brandishing cards, diving...bring it on. That's what refs are for, a little controversy...

Oh... and every team will have bad fans, and bad players, one incident doesn't sum up the whole team or the whole fan base. Don't be an idiot, everyone is not perfect...

  45. Kompanys two footed tackle a red card,Giggsys two footed tackle from behind 20 minutes later, and not even a word of warning from the ref.Didn't see Shrek running to the ref then.

    ReplyDelete
  46. kompany didnt win, thank goodness ... rules are still rules :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Kompany was two-footed - and had to get off!

Gerrard was two-footed in last years FA-cup match at Old T. - and had to go off
Spearing was two-footed - and had to go off
Rodwell was two-footed - and had to go off

The Suares-Rodwell and the Nani-Kompany-situations are similar, only did Rodwell touch Suarez a little bit more.

Rooney did show the card - and had to have yellow. So should Suarez or others in similar cases. Thats despect of the ref.

In the situation a lot of players are easily pushed off the ball - or dives. Evra fell over so easy when Aguero had a free run, and Evra came in between, so it became a freekick. Similar did Gerrard have a period, where he fell over every time. It would be nice if refs. kept the line clear with simulations/dives, and gave yellow. Wo would Foy have had to give Valencia a yellow against city, as he assumed he did dive (and didn't give a penalty) and there was a freekick. Several strikers would stay away from yellows, if possible, so they would avoid dives as far as possible.

I have noticed that Suarez has learnt something from his time in England, as he isn't that much of a diver as times go by - and he has accepted a lot af harasment from opposite players without to mourn. I assume its a hard school for someone like him. He will also for sure stay off the N-words - or maybe ask refs. for protection against being provoked, if someone tries. Would be good if players with unfair habits would learn as they play, so the game can be kept enjoyable and fair - and so that refs.  could continue being fair, instead of suspect unjust play from former divers.

    ReplyDelete
  48. come om, alanable  ...you cant be serious! be sensible - I agree theres a lot of pansy millionaires these days but RULE is there to protect players from career ending injuries. no matter winning ball cleanly or no malice aforethought, RISK is too much to allow on the field of play.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I can't stand Rooney, but you are so wrong about this
    1) Kompany jumped off the ground and went into the tackle two footed. So what that he won the ball, that was by luck - once his feet left the ground he was out of control and it was a lottery on whether he won the ball clearly, just scraped Nani's leg or snapped his ankle. The red card ruling is in place because those sort of tackles are career threateners if not 100% accurate, so they need to be stamped out.
    2) I didn't see Rooney call for Kompany to be sent off. He held two fingers up and told the ref it was a two footed tackle. Besides, if he had asked for a red card he had every right to - calling for cards for dives is one thing, anyone asking for one should get booked themselves, but with dangerous tackles a player should have the right to suggest a red card - without red cards players are not going to change the way they tackle, players health is at stake.
    3) I have no problem with calling Rooney a cheat for diving. But if you are going to look at past events, why not go back last week when Mancini went down the touchline waving a card when Srktel fouled Toure to give away a penalty -just shows what a hypocrite Mancini is.

    ReplyDelete
  50. bitterness hanging out of whoever wrote this

    ReplyDelete
  51. Of course Mr Potatohead wasnt brandishing a red card. He was just showing the ref he'd learnt a new number!

    ReplyDelete
  52. Don't say anything about Rooney. He is FA's dear son. FA would bend every rule in the book to defend him even if he knocks the opposition player out on the pitch. Daddy FA watches him whether he plays for England or for Man Utd.

If Man Utd can't win league by playing fair and square, they use FA to beat the competition. It is going on for a few years now. Kompany's ban will have effect on Man City's results in League.

    ReplyDelete
  53. If you had actually watched the game Rooney wasn't waving an imaginary card but signifying that Kompany had gone in with studs showing. Watch replays closely and then write pro-scouser, "I hate Manchester United" drivel if it is deserved. All footballers dive these days including your precious Steven Gerrard but diving has nothing to do with Kompany's red card.

Go back to the eighties where you and other Liverpool fans belong.

    ReplyDelete
  54. To the author you bitter scouse fuk...Get over urself and your obvious obsession with Rooney and your jealousy of United.

    ReplyDelete
  55. There was cerrtainly pressure from Rooney, difficult to say if it was over the top; I think such reactions are understandable, if a bit unsavoury.  In such a competitive atmosphere players are always going to be demanding what they believe to be their due.  But it was also a definite red card!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Absolute rubbish, the sequence of events were:

Kompany "tackles" nani (for what its worth i dont think it was a red)
Rooney sees tackle and waves arms about a bit claiming a foul.
Rooney holds two fingers up to say "it was a two footed challenge"

At no point did rooney wave an imaginary card.

Now Jaime, I have read your articles whilst following the Liverpool view of the Suarez incident. Whilst I have agreed with your point of view on some articles and disagreed on others, even though your views have sometimes been contradictory, I can follow the logic of your presentation.

However, in this instance I cannot for the life of me see what the worth is of:
    a) Fabricating the content.
    b) Posting random videos about unrelated incidents
    c) Getting involved in something that has nothing to do with LFC. (In fact LFC have gained from this with Kompany being banned (however harshly) for both CC semi final games)

Unless you are trying to create an even more unsavoury atmosphere between united and lfc fans before the forthcoming FA Cup and League games. Is that the case Jamie?

    ReplyDelete
  57. redheart you are an idiot.. the FA banned rooney for two matches for swearing, which is a little less than potentially ending someones career. so your comment about the FA bending rules for him is nonsense. THECAVETROLL has it spot on, once he left the ground it was a lottery between getting the ball, clipping the player or snapping his ankle. just lucky he got the ball.

  62. I keep seeing a lot of people stating that Suarez is a huge diver himself. In the first few months of his Liverpool career he did simulate to an extent but recently you can see that he is trying much harder to stay on his feet even though he gets smashed by defenders game after game. Another thing is Suarez is South American and diving or simulation occurs a lot more in the South American game than it does from English players. Where as Suarez is making the change to the PL in his first full season Rooney has been playing in England for years. To even compare the two is stupid. Rooney has proven time and time again that he is not an honest player and a massive cheat.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Rooney waved the imaginary card when he was right next to referee. When the tackle happened, he raised the two fingers.

I would be interested to see evidence of alleged 'contradictory' views you mention. Please post snippets from articles that you claim are contradictory.

Re your last point: no point even dignifying that with a response. The only 'unsavoury' aspect of this is Rooney's behaviour. He's a disgrace to football IMO, and the sooner he retires, the better.

  67. Looks like you misjudged this one Jamie, there isn't much support for demonising Rooney on this subject! Curious you didn't mention Mancini at that lark the week before and his balls to go giving stick to someone else. There isn't any image of Rooney asking for a card but even if he did it happens every week and even the weeks that Stevie Me plays!

    ReplyDelete
  68. Disappointing Jaimie. Rooney did not wave an imaginary card, i watched the game live and have watched the incident a number of times, and I can say with 100% confidence that Rooney did not do wave an imaginary card.

About the contradictory statements......the article you did on the LFC lies about Evra's previous allegations of racial abuse and then the article you did on why Suarez should appeal the ban contained, imo, contradictions.....i havent been back to get actual quotes (are there links from this article?)

Also, I put it to you that your hatred of Rooney has a little to do with the fact that he has only ever played for LFC's most hated rivals.

You are entitled to your opinion of course but you have not answered the question i put to you re: this article, i.e. why get involved, its got nothing whatsoever to do with LFC?

There are no contradictions. None whatsoever. If you're going to say things like then please have the evidence to back it up. Those articles are freely available on the site, so it should be easy for you to cut and paste examples. What I am really interested in, is the question that you keep avoiding:

Why have you written an article about an incident that has nothing to do with LFC?

(An article that doesnt seem to be getting much support from even the LFC fans commenting)

    ReplyDelete
  78. .....but your happy to defend suarez. quite actively as on the other post about evra where some of your pleasant fans seem to want his legs broken for the audacity of pointing out what suarez said to him.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Kompany is a good guy,
when I look at the video I'm really shocked, it's worse than the red card for Spearing

    ReplyDelete
  80. John - I don't write articles to get support from people; I write what interests me, and the ongoing degradation of common standards of decency in the game interest me, and it concerns every football fan, irrespective of what team they support.

I regularly highlight cheating etc in football, and that includes when Liverpool players do it. I have highlighted Gerrard's diving on numerous occasions; I argued that Liverpool should not sign Suarez because he's a cheat; I could provide lots of examples,

The Rooney incident - any indeed any incident like that - is every football fan's business, and the only way it is going to stop is if fans stop just accepting the behaviour and start voicing their anger at the behaviour of players, whether that's online, offline, at games etc.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Proof? Grainy and possibly misinterpreted pictures/video?

    Right....(!)

    ReplyDelete
  82. Two of the games Kompany misses are against Liverpool in the league cup. So maybe some thanks is in order.

Not going to bother explaining why a two footed lunging tackle is always a red card, it's in the rule book if you want to see. Getting the ball has nothing to do with it.

I check this blog out from time to time because there's often a lot of diligence with numbers and figures that you don't often get these days, but it's a shame this depth of research doesn't seem to apply to the laws of the game.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Nice attempt to muddy the waters. What have I have defended Suarez on? I've defended him on a very specific aspect of the Evra case, i.e unproven findings of fact by the FA. That is not even about Suarez; it's about fair and reasonable justice.

What other fans say has nothing to do with me; they're entitled to think what they like.

I have also highlighted and criticised Suarez's behaviour many times in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Suarez is a fantastic guy? I take it you like biting, cheating, and disgusting tackles? Because I assume you are basing your assumption on what he does on the pitch, as I don't think you know him personally

    ReplyDelete
  85. And if United fans want to post the same type of thing about Gerrard then let them.

    ReplyDelete
  86. never admit wrong doings?
classic! from the club that insist suarez has done no wrong, it was CHELSEA fans that caused heysel, only one or two fans ever sang about munich, every time that pleasant fellow shields posts his munich bile on twitter his account has been hacked, stevie g never handed in a transfer request, stevie & his boys attack a lone bloke but he leaves court with his reputation intact despite cctv footage.

seems some people know all about avoiding any sense of responsibility.....

    ReplyDelete
  87. Oh dear, oh dear. Suarez is still a annoying cheat. There is plenty of gif images around the net of him diving in recent games. But go on, you blind yourself just because he plays for Liverpool. What next? Steven Gerrard is the modern day Mother Theresa?

including even going as far as to make up a whole new personal rule for him swearing & the reward of sitting in the stands for a couple of games. or banning him for being sent off in pre-season amsterdam tourno when previously stevie god received no ban for being sent off pre-season.
yeah, the FA well in uniteds back pocket.

kompany's ban will have effect on man citys results in the league.....indeed. doesn't some of the ban coincide with some upcoming cup games? csn't remember who they are against....

Well if you are fighting some moral crusade to rid the game of modern ills then fair play. However i suggest you take on board the following:

    1. GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT FIRST. ROONEY DIDNT BRANDISH AN IMAGINARY CARD.

    2. TRY TO BE OBJECTIVE AS YOU LOSE CREDENCE WHEN THE NATURE OF YOUR ARTICLE IS CLEARLY AFFECTED BY BIAS.

    ReplyDelete
  91. John - Everyone who writes about football is biased. Every fan is biased, and I do not hold myself as being unbiased. I am a fan with an opinion, just like everyone else.

Whether I 'lose credence' is irrelevant to me. I write what I think, and people will make up their own minds.

  96. Rooney is an amazing player, he's let himself down with the nonsense in the videos above, hard to find much evidence of more blatant cheating

    Even Pires wasn't as bad

Rooney betrayed the city of Liverpool when he went to Manchester

Here's a pic of Rooney celebrating a goal v City. Illustrates everything that's dear to him

    ReplyDelete
  97. god love you jaimie if you think that is proof. there is no picture of rooney showing a ref an imaginary card. There is however one of rooney with the palms of his hand turned towards the ref. Gesticulating wildly.

and as for kompany, there was a clip of suarez going in on him with his studs up, trying to do him, before falling to the ground clutching his head pretending to have been hit in the head. Get over yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Can't really argue with the evidence, but to even things out, how about posting videos of the superb dives from Gerrard and Adams. Adams this season scored ten out of ten from the Russian judge

  99. Its goes to show some of the rubbish that can be wrote be idiots but seems to be even more so by the kop ... Did the FA overturn the red card today??? No !!! Why??? Because it was a red card !!! And Wazza was right to appeal for punishment!!! End of :-)

    ReplyDelete
  100. Obviously ud say that this is a Liverpool page talk about united when u win something or be a good team. Scousers !!

    ReplyDelete
  101. Is that y man city didn't win the appeal against the FA and if the ref is spineless than he would have also listened to the man city players telling him it wasn't a foul if u haven't been watching football than I would like to tell u that any and every team appeals like that against a red card in big games just look at all the red cards in barca vs real Madrid barca players surround the ref telling him what the card should be on this occasion is was only Rooney
Don't just assume stuff like Rooney forced the ref if that challenge were on a city player it would have been the same result besides man it'd were 1-0 and would have still won so it doesn't matter

    ReplyDelete
  102. rooney is 1 of best english strikers, every1 falls over and kompany takles nani with 2 feet off the ground studs up that isnt allowed yes rooney went over to the ref but at the end of the day the ref got it right

    ReplyDelete
  121. Errr, I would never presume to say Rooney gets off light when charged by the F.A, or should I say charged by the media and tried by the F.A?

Rooney has NEVER got off lightly and the only time he got a 'ever so slight break' was when the F.A went in to get the 3 game ban reduced to 2.

Quite honestly I cannot believe some of the utter crap I'm reading on here, posted by uneducated football followers, (They are not fans, they watch stuff on t.v) quoting 'facts', errrr, I seem to remember a guy sitting behind a desk quoting FACTS, he got his arse, rightfully, booted.

Count your blessing Scouse Scum you may have an ever so slight chance against MANCHESTER CITY now that Kompany is banned for an illegal career ending type tackle.  DO THE CRIME, SERVE THE TIME.  Irrespective of Rooney showing 2 fingers or not, Kompany was guilty and that is a F A C T!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Most of you lot on here are laughable, Rooney was clearly wanting Kompany sent off whether he was indicating a two footed tackle or in fact brandishing an imaginary red card. Watch the replay you muppets and you will clearly see that Kompany does not lunge in with studs showing, he actually plays the ball with his instep. Then if you can, find footage of Frank Lampard's tackle against Wolves for which he received only a yellow card! Now tell me that Kompany warranted a red card, absolute rubbish! The laws of the game (FIFA) do not state that a two footed challenge is to be deemed a straight red card  Here is the actual paragraph relating to serious foul play;

A player is guilty of serious foul play if he uses excessive force or brutality against an opponent when challenging for the ball when it is in play. A tackle that endangers the safety of an opponent must be sanctioned as serious foul play. Any player who lunges at an opponent in challenging for the ball from the front, from the side or from behind using one or both legs with excessive force and endangering the safety of an opponent is guilty of serious foul play.

No where within the rules are the words, 'two footed challenge, or both feet off the floor.' Kompany did not use excessive force or brutality, he won a ball that was clearly at least 60/40 in his favour. If defenders are not able to make a challenge for the ball, then the beautiful game as we know it is dead and gone forever. Nani as we all know, falls over if you so much as blow on him but he didn't even flinch, he just carried on about his business of attempting to retrieve the ball. If Chris Foy had been left to make his own mind up, I doubt that even a yellow card would have been produced.

  132. can some one explain how the footage of rooney in the first clip, with a two footed tackle on samba is not red carded it is far worse than kompanys, all that surrounds man utd and the english fa smells like cheats to me,the conspiracy to keep man utd at the top is the worst kept secret in football.

    ReplyDelete
  133. because...this is a LFC fan blog? c'mon are you for real?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Think he was referring to a worst-case scenario, if Nani hadn't gotten out of the way. The thing about two-footed challenges is you can't control or change your pace/angle of approach because you're sorta airborne.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Haha a LIVERPOOL fan claiming that a United player is dirty! How rich! How about Mascherano, Sissoko, Bellamy etc - some of the dirtiest players in the history of the premier league! And if you want to talk about diving, your skipper Steven Gerrard himself has a big history of diving!

As for Rooney in the City match, in the heat of the moment he reacted to a potential leg breaking challenge on his team mate by calling for some punishment for Kompany. Yes, we don't like to see this kind of thing in football, but it was a definite red card, and given the severity of the potential injury Nani could have suffered, it is hardly surprised Rooney reacted in outrage!

And if you're in any doubt as to how bad the challenge was, here's proof:
    http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V57EfUdBpYY/Twntcr5mXSI/AAAAAAAACuQ/fa8R5owIAAg/s1600/OF63M.gif

And this is all without mentioning recent episodes of racial abuse involving Liverpool fans and players (which I'm not going to say anything more on).

Now stop whinging and get your own club and players in order first!

    ReplyDelete
  136. That's because it's not a secret, it's a fabrication by jealous fans of other clubs who wish they had 19 league titles.

I have to laugh at "Kompany cleanly won the ball from Nani", uh no he didn't, a two footed tackle is a two footed tackle, whether you take the player out or not, it's dangerous. And the FA justified the red card by dismissing the appeal of the ban. Take a look at http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-V57EfUdBpYY/Twntcr5mXSI/AAAAAAAACuQ/fa8R5owIAAg/s1600/OF63M.gif - both feet clearly off the floor.

    Exhibit A: Leg before dive was taken out, should've been a foul pre-dive anyway.Exhibit B & C: Dives
Exhibit D: Yeah you can really tell from a still image *facepalm*
Exhibit E: Kicked the floor/tripped over other leg, didn't even appeal for a pen, carried on playing without hesitation. (sorry to debunk this)
Exhibit F: Fuck England, no one cares.
Exhibit G: Maybe a foul, but made a complete meal out of it.
    Exhibit H: Dive

    Kompany deserved his red card.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Mancini has a cheek talking about Rooney getting Kompany sent off...He was the one brandishing the card when Toure was brought down in the box Vs Liverpool....and that was dubious as to whether there was much contact....and liverpool fans, we all know about Gerrard and Suarez and their ease of going to ground, but Mr Downing is rapidly joining that bunch. 3 times recently I have seen him go down without being touched and win free kicks....I am a United fan and hate the way Nani goes down (Ronaldo and RVN were two others who were pretty bad for us) - Rooney isn't as bad as those two though

    ReplyDelete
  147. you know quite a bit about rooney...are you sure u dont love him :P i agree he does sometimes dive..so what...thats part of the game..

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  149. Absolutely true. I am a UTD fan but will never deny the stature and history of LFC and this player just does not deserve to wear that shirt. He is the dirtiest professional cheat to grace a football field and I predict will go a long way to causing more serious grief to not just LFC but to EPL too.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Funny that if you actually looked or watched the game Rooney doesn't show a card but holds 2 fingers up. 2 footed challenges like that = red card. Get over it you bitter scouser and focus on your own over rated racist wife beating team. Pathetic excuse of an article.

What an amazing article this sort of thing just fuels the hatred between united and liverpool.
Gerrard is a serial diver and as for suarez he cheated ghana out of the world cup for a liverpool fan to criticise rooney is absolutely astonishing sort out the problems within your club first before trying to rectify the minor things wron with united

    ReplyDelete
  155. Yeah it's all the trophies weighing that sinking ship down.

    ReplyDelete
  156. I am a City fan and was at the game on Sunday. I honestly vant believe how united players keep getting away with aproaching the referee??? Oh and by the way, hope you dont do to well tonight lol

    ReplyDelete
  157. 2 footed lunge, scissor motion with legs...could have easily broken Nani's legs if Nani didnt jump out of the tackle. Rooney put 2 fingers up saying it was a 2 footed tackle. Also speaking about divers...Luis Suarez? Steve Gerrard?

    ReplyDelete
  158. Clearly you didn't watch the match, because if you did you would know he ran over holding up two fingers, insinuating it was a two footed lunge, which us exactly what it was.

Haven't bothered to look at your other videos, as so many people have already pointed out you could make a movie out of Stevie's wonderful theatrics

Lastly how much time do you have on your hands!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  161. If you paid attention in the match like any normal person you would see rooney is holding up 2 fingers lettin the ref know it was a 2 footed tackle. Which by the way in the rules of the game is a red

    ReplyDelete
  162. how about showing a few of gerrards dives, or suarez's dives, downings dives........ shall i go on???? slow news day at anfailed?? nobody died that you can all grieve over??

    ReplyDelete
  163. Jamie Kanwar...You have a really unhealthy habit of writing about Man United. You need to keep watching your '05 CL Final DVD and calm youself down. It was two fingers he put up, two fingers for a two footed tackle, which it was. Two footed tackle = red card, facht. Noticed you have an Indian surname, if you weren't half White, you would get racially abused in Liverpool (if you even live there).

    ReplyDelete
  164. NO ITS NOT IT HAS TO HAVE DANGEROUS INTENT OR LACK OF CONTROL.
how many football fans clearly do not play and do not know the rules.
    clearly a stretford rangers follower.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Some liverpool fans have a chip on the shoulder, when things arent going their way they turn to Utd when really it has eff all to do with them.     I read many blogs on man utd & got to this page through man utd's newsnow page.    I have never seen many blogs on utd websites dedicated to the goings on at anfield unless it directly involved a utd player eg evra.

But i suppose that happens when you are starved of success you have to vent your anger somehow......... i saw from the comments above to John that you say you write only what interests you & your not looking for the backing of others etc etc.

We all know why u hate rooney along with any other liverpool fan, your just covering up the cracks.      You are so bias its untrue...firstly the pic of the incident that you are talking about is so small and unclear its as if you already know that your talking complete tripe, he held up 2 fingers for a 2 footed challenge.......say what u want but thats what happened.

And secondly as pointed out before......why all the other pointless videos...am sure if you looked at most footballers & seperate incidents you could find a number of videos...obviously some footballers are in the limelight more than others so it wouldnt be hard to find rooney incidents!

Support your team & stop worrying about matters not involving your club.

    ReplyDelete
  166. agree re-Mancini but at least he apologised and in his defense he had just seen Barry sent off for pretty innocuous 2 yellows. The REAL issue is far too many red and yellows for nothing BUT serious foul play is not dealt with.
All you ITD fans get real and think how you would have felt if that card had gone to one of your players.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Like most in this matter you have no ability to interpret and undertstand the rule correctly.  The key is about tackling with control and both feet at the ball/man,  Kompany was in control and the  tackle of the ball executed with one foot.  And before you say the FA re affirmed the ref's decision, they always do unless something is glaring wrong.  Here there is an element of opinion but those who have played the game at any level and know how to apply the rules will see I am right.  Look at it another way, had Foy chose to play on and ingore as he did prior to The Cheats unethical reaction, do you think Kompany would have been convicted on video evidence?  You know the answer!

    ReplyDelete
  168. He was actually waving an imaginery yelloe card - it wasnt red

    ReplyDelete
  169. You are one funny and sick Liverpool fan. Instead of worrying about the players at United, why not talk about Suarez or even the screwed up Liverpool fan that called the oldham player a black b****rd ? you Liverpool lot will never change.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Rooney's holding up 2 fingers, not an imaginary red card. As in "that was a 2-footed tackle".  Or maybe an oblique reference to Luis Suarez's IQ?

    ReplyDelete
  171.  Suggestion take a close look at the waving of the finger Carra,Agger,Kuyt,Suarez and of course Gerrard( he of the swallow dive) does.
As a United fan I didn't think it deserved a red card, but he took off with both feet off the ground and that's what Foy saw therefore straight red. If it had been Vidic, ferdinand etc you lot would have been lambasting them.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Nothing to do with bias but clear fact. Go and read the FA rule book. Watch the replay and you will see the linesman in the background doesn't react as he clearly felt it was a fair challenge.

    ReplyDelete

  175. 1000% correct. What these faggot journalists don't seem to understand is that Rooney showed the sign of a two footed challenge. Nani avoided the challenge to protect himself or else Nani would have been injured to a few months. The intention of the tackle deserved the red card.

    ReplyDelete
  183. One footed tackle sliding in from around a player's legs, versus two, studs up, going in to a player who fortunately jumped out of the way - yeah, your argument makes sense! Seems like the only way City fans would accept the veracity of the red card would be if Nani had been left lying on the ground in agony again, as with last year against Liverpool.

I can also see the sense in Rooney running in to scream at the ref over a foul committed by one of his own team mates.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Think you will find on that freeze frame Rooney is holding up two fingers gesturing that it was a two footed tackle. Which it was. And yeah kompany won the ball....... Only because if you watch your video again, Nani jumps out of the way if he doesn't he could have been hurt.
