The Agent of talented young attacker Lucas Moura has confirmed that the Brazilian will not be leaving Sao Paulo for the Premier League this month.
Last week, Moura's agent Wagner Ribeiro revealed that Liverpool had put in a bid for the exciting starlet. Speaking on Brazilian Radio, Ribeiro stated:
"I received three offers for my client [Moura] from Chelsea, Inter and Liverpool".
With Andy Carroll seemingly incapable of scoring, and Luis Suarez out for the next 7 games, Kenny Dalglish could do with a new striker, and Moura would seem to fit with the club's philosophy of buying young players with potential.
Unfortunately, the player himself yesterday insisted that he has no plans to leave Sao Paulo. He said:
"I will stay at Sao Paulo. You will see a more motivated Lucas who has a desire to succeed. We lacked a title in 2011 and that is objective for the New Year. I expect a better 2012 for myself and the club. Our squad is strong, and with more signings we will get even better".
All is not lost though; Ribeiro indicated that Moura could be available in the summer:
"The club [Sao Paolo] will not sell Lucas at this stage and will turn down every single offer. However, in June we will talk about that again…"
