Manchester City's Carlos Tevez is persona non grata in the Premier League at the moment after he allegedly refused to come on as a substitute during a recent Champions League match. Hypothetically, if Tevez was made available to Liverpool, would you take him?
In a game characterised by greed, corruption and naked self-interest, it's amusing to see players and managers hypocritically foaming at the mouth over Tevez's behaviour.
Anyway - Tevez was heavily linked with a move to Liverpool during the tail end of Rafa Benitez's reign, but if he was available at a knockdown price as a result of his recent tribulations, would you take him?

ReplyDeleteIs n't the question more 'Would we take Tevez's WIFE!'
ReplyDeletei dont understand "I'd rather see us struggle for years with poor players rather than have brilliant ones with such character and mentality." . I WANT TO WIN THE LEAGUE!! TEVEZ IS PURE TALENT. HE WAS UPSET FOR BEING DROPPED OF THE FIRST TEAM.OF HIS TALENT IT WOULD BE PERFECT PARTNERSHIP WITH MY MAN SUAREZ. STOP BUYING POOR PLAYERS .GOSH.
ReplyDeleteNever. He's made it quite clear that he doesn't want to play in this country, and if another English club was stupid enough to take him, then they would be asking for trouble imho.
ReplyDeleteGreat football player, but we win and lose as a team, and he is not a team player. Guaranteed goals, but what if you have him on the bench, or even worse, leave him out altogether? Mascherano was trouble, and Tevez would be 100x worse.
I see now there are murmurings about Suarez too. :-(
Did n't we just move on a player called Torres who is even better then Tevez but did n't want to stay at the club?
ReplyDeleteTevez does n't want to play for City does n't want to be in this country or even this continent he wants to go home?
So you would still have Tevez?
yes.
ReplyDeleteNo never, YNWA, tevez he loves to be By himself, not a team person...he was always about making as much money out any football club(s), in sort amount of time possible, the soon he's out of the English game the better all round....LIVERPOOL FC is a family, not about one person & his self greed..
ReplyDeleteI agree with the majority of comments Tevez would be to much of a gamble and would not fit the LFC way,However I do wonder Suarez was also known to "rock the boat" could Dalglish make a difference on Tevez?? should be another pole lol
ReplyDeleteAnd what of Suarez's character and mentality? Another boat rocker and an out and out cheat. I thought he'd been shot in the shins last weekend. Turns out he was cheating again.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see how you would react if you had somone coming sliding into you? He got the ball but he also caught Suarez teach players to stay on their feet when they tackle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI would take him although, like old 'arry from Tottenham suggested, only on a subsidised loan. I'm not sure about buying him outright, but definitely wouldn't mind him on loan. Yes he's got an attitude problem, but honestly as long as he doesn't screw us over, he wouldn't be too bad.
