Anfield-bound? Liverpool reps fly out to watch 'lethal' €25m Brazilian who's 'like Rivaldo'

Liverpool are reportedly back in the race to sign one of Brazil's most exciting talents.

According to reports in Turkey this week:

* A 'source' claims that Liverpool sent scouts to watch Brazilian striker Anderson Talisca during the recent Europa League Last 16 clash between Besiktas and Olympiakos.

* The source further claimed that Liverpool have been 'keeping tabs' on the Talisca this season.

Transfer timeline:

* Jul 2016: Portuguese newspaper O Jogo claimed that Liverpool were 'in talks' with Talisca.

* Jul 2016: O Jogo further O claimed: "Talisca is anxiously waiting for the deal with Liverpool. He has already told friends he is very close to signing for LFC".

Some info about €25m-rated Talisca:

* 23-year old attacking midfielder. Currently on loan at Besiktas. Splits his time between playing as central AM, and a secondary striker.

* Benfica: 24 goals/assists in 78 apps (One every 169 mins)

* Besiktas: 12 goals/assists in 22 apps (One every 128 mins)

* Scouting Report (Strengths): "Incisive passing, surging runs and thunderous shooting. Combative approach. No problem in physical encounters".

* Scouting Report (Weaknesses): "Tendency to drift out of games. Sometimes seems unsure as to positioning. Could do with filling out".

* Sep 2014: Jose Mourinho revealed his admiration: "If he [Talisca] had a work permit, he would be in the Premier League".

* Nov 2014: Chelsea attacker Oscar raved: “Talisca is tall and left-footed like Rivaldo, and he has great quality".

* Dec 2014: Benfica team-mate Jonas Oliveira's assessment: "Talisca has got everything to be a major player for Brazil. He’s tall, a lethal finisher, and very fast".

Tall, strong, athletic etc - Talisca fits the profile of the type of midfielder Liverpool (arguably) need, and his goals/assist ratio shows improvement this season. A viable target this summer?
