Sign for Liverpool? 'Unbelievable' €44m star admits he's 'not satisfied' and wants a 'change'

One of the Bundesliga's most promising players has hinted at a change of scenery this summer, and with Liverpool needing new central midfielders, there could be a chance for Jurgen Klopp to step in and provide a solution.

In an interview over the weekend, Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich publicly expressed his frustration with life at Bayern Munich, and made it clear that he's unhappy with his status at the club. He told reporters:

"The fact is I'm not satisfied with it and I want to change it. The coach knows I can play as a number six and at right-back, also in the centre of defence. From that, he has many options to use me."

Bayern signed Kimmich in the summer of 2015, and to be fair, he's played a decent number of games for a 22-year old. Bayern stats:

* 66 apps overall (42 starts)

* Averages 60 minutes of playing time per game.

That said, Kimmich's current frustration is understandable:

* In the last 20 games, he's been subbed on/off, or been an unused sub in 85% of games.

* Has played only 44 minutes of football since Feb 25th.

Anyone who watched Germany during Euro 2016 will be aware of Kimmich's talent. After starting on the bench for the first two group games, he came into the team against Northern Ireland and (deservedly) stayed there until Germany went out in the semi-finals.

According to ESPN, Man City boss Pep Guardiola 'could return to his former club to sign Kimmich', and if he becomes available, should Liverpool follow suit and consider making a move?

* Hailed by Guardiola as 'simply unbelievable'. €44m-rated (CIES)
