Confirmed Team News: €52m-duo 'okay' for Liverpool game; 'magic' international starts; Klopp confirms Lallana 'will be close'

Liverpool face Southampton on Saturday, and ahead of the game, there is already some confirmed team news.

LIVERPOOL

* Joe Gomez and Danny Ings remain on the comeback trail, and will not feature in the squad.

* According to the Daily Mail: "Adam Lallana is set to miss Southampton. Lallana aggravated a groin problem [but] should be able to start training next week".

* When asked on Friday about Lallana, Klopp noted: "It will be close. The time until Southampton is short, so I don’t know. Hopefully it is not too serious, but we have to wait.”

SOUTHAMPTON

* On Friday, Claude Puel confirmed: “[Dusan] Tadic will be available for this game. He spoke to the doctor and it’s okay for him.

* Puel added: "Cedric [Soares] has come back into training and [Ryan] Bertrand trained [on Wednesday]. I think all the players are okay".

* The Daily Mail claims: "[Fraser] Forster withdrew from the England squad with a slight injury but will start at St Mary's on Saturday".

Tadic and Forster are big players for Southampton, so their availability is a big plus for the Saints. That said, Tadic is struggling for consistency this season, and after 16 games, he's contributed a measly 2 goals/assists.

Liverpool attacker Philippe Coutinho is also a doubt, and like Lallana, he had a scan this week on an injury sustained on international duty.

* Bertrand and Tadic: Combined €52m value (CIES Football Observatory). Forster: hailed as 'magic' by Ronaldo Koeman.
