Lawro: Forget Van Persie - €2.5m ex-LFC target is 'signing of the year'. Agree?

Lots of Premier League transfer deals went through in 2012, but which player is the signing of the year? One thing's for sure, no Liverpool signings will appear on any 'best of' list, and according to Reds Legend Mark Lawrenson, one of the cheapest deals of the year is also the best.

In his column for The Mirror yesterday, Lawro named Swansea attacking midfielder Michu as the signing of the year. He said:

"Robin Van Persie has been outstanding but he cost £22million while Michu cost £2million.

"It’s a no-brainer. He proves that you can steal players from La Liga.

"There are bargains to be had. Most of the teams in the Spanish League need the money and so all of these big fees are being thrown around but you can pinch players over there".

I totally agree with Lawro here. For sheer value for money, Michu is clearly the signing of the year, and it still makes me feel sick to think that he could be a Liverpool player right now.

The Reds were repeatedly linked with a move for Michu last summer, but predictably, the club failed to act, and Michael Laudrup ghosted in and signed him for ridiculously cheap £2m.

Michu or Allen/Borini/Sahin? It's arguably no contest. I like Allen as a player, but his signing has not really made a difference yet to Liverpool's league form. Rodgers could've saved £13m and signed Michu, and with his goals, it's probable that Liverpool would be higher in the table right now. Same goes for Borini.

Van Persie is a fantastic player but he already has years of Premier League experience behind him. Michu is a newcomer, and he plays in an inferior team, yet his goal rate (1 every 1.4 games) is almost as good as the Dutchman's (1 every 1.1 games).

  2. Why is he overrated? That doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

  3. undervalued more likely. or was untill he came to swans. price has soared now.

    ReplyDelete
  4. He's done well, but i'm sceptical if he can continue it. But lets be honest, not many managers would have taken a chance on him before the start of the season

    ReplyDelete
  5. It still irritates that we did not go for him! I mean come on!!! £2M!!! A player who scored 15 goals plus last term. What risk would he bring? Low fee, low wages and low expectation!

We need to look for bargains.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Not even for £2m, after scoring 17 goals in La Liga last season?

    ReplyDelete
  7. If he keeps up for the rest of the season, most likely will be signing of the season. Van Persie has been brilliant as well as being key in the title race but Michu, lesser known and value, is in the lead, for me.

  8. Do you reckon rafa would of got him?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Prior to Swansea and Rayo he wasn't such a prolific goalscorer, don't think he has world class technique or tricks but yes he has hit the purple patch and is proving effective....but I do think he will fade away soon. Even Charlie Adam scored like 13 premiere league goals playing as AM at Blackpool before we signed him. Swansea is a good team playing good football and Michu has made the most out of it, converted from Attacking Mid to Striker. He is good, but that's it.

  10. This is another one of those signings that everyone says "man we should have gotten him! we missed out again!" but if we had paid 2m for michu those same people would have been saying "Is this what we have become? only signing cheap players?".
You cant win either way when it comes to liverpool. At the moment ive been seeing alot of "we need diame! diame is the first step in fixing rodgers screw ups" but 6 months ago everyone was saying no to the diame signing under KD.
BUT ANYWAYS! we'll see if michu can continue to perform as the season goes on and next season. i mean look at p. cisse?

    ReplyDelete
  11. he scored 15 in La Liga - Charlie Adam scored 12 playing as AM in EPL before we signed him....De Ja vu? If Michu had failed, we would have labelled him Spanish Adam.

    ReplyDelete
  12. What has his prior form got to do with anything? He signed for £2m and he's got 14 goals/2 assists in 23 games. Hardly overrated.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Do you ever write any thing without attacking or berating united you need to calm down and lose your bitterness it will destroy you

  14. To be fair on P Cisse, he has been marooned out on the right wing for quite a lot of games this season, in what seemed to be initially an attempt by Pardew to get back into Demba Ba's good books and getting him to stay (after being played out of position for the latter half of last season). Of course, Ba is most likely going. Watched a few of their games this season and it doesn't look good at all, the balance of that side by having Cisse on the right. It wasn't as bad last season but second half of last season, they had Ba on the left and Ba was barely scoring any goals either. So in defence of Papiss Cisse, he has been played out of position a lot this season.

  15. Assaidi has not player enough to be judged on.

  16. 17 overall (and the other two were against La Liga opposition). The Charlie Adam comparison is not credible. Totally different players. There's no current basis upon which to label Michu overrated.

  17. Utd signing RVP was a big statement especially because City wanted him and was offering more money,he's also a proven world class striker.Normally the prem produces a flash in the pan every year.Lets put it another way in the January market RVP is 24mill and Michu is 2.5mill knowing what we know now i'd still take RVP

    ReplyDelete
  18. A friend of mine once said " you dont have to be a great player to score loads of goals in the Premier League, look at Darren Bent for example".

Would Michu cut it in the top 4, playing at one of the best clubs in Europe, in the champions league week in week out?  I doubt it very much.  He isnt exactly a spring chicken and at swansea he can get away with playing badly (the games he doesnt score).

Also, look at other teams forward lines, where would he get in?  We've just signed Sturridge, so is Michu good enough to replace Suarez, Sturridge or Sterling? No.

    ReplyDelete
  19. P.Cisse ring any bells? Every player who flops first season is not a bad player/overrated - Lucas. Every player who has a good first season is not always a good signing - P.Cisse

    ReplyDelete
  20. ats like saying before Barcelona Messi wasnt a prolific goalscorer really !!!just coz Michu isnt in your team! Bet he's in your dream team tho lol !!!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Do you ever post anything without first attempting to accurately comprehend what you read? Clearly not.

    ReplyDelete
  22. That'll be some manager's downfall though. Some club will sign him for 10 million or more, as a panic buy, and he will not work out. Demba Ba faded after January so let's wait till he's hear two years and see how highly he's still rated then.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's right, just ignore any kind of context. If Fowler/Owen/Rush/Torres et al played on the wing every week, would they have scored as many goals? Obviously not. Same goes for Cisse.

    ReplyDelete
  24. True but it's not like Rodgers will not play him just for the sake of it. Something smells rotten there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. That is not a reliable example, the Cisse one. P Cisse has been playing on the wing for a lot of games this season. Watch them play and he is not comfortable in that position at all.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Ok. You are right, Michu is the signing (flavor) of the season.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I do agree with some of what you said about would he make it at a top 4 club.
We see players turn it on at lower teams and struggle once they make the move to a bigger one all the time.
I dont like ruling him out right now until he had a go at a top team but i think you are pretty spot on.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 'is Michu good enough to replace Suarez, STURRIDGE or Sterling? No'

A good loan spell aside, Sturridge has barely done anything.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i think its the fact assaidi doesnt track back and to be honest theres no point stepping around two players if you always going to give it to the third.
So far he has been exciting to watch but realistically he has only been good at winning corners. and tbh sometimes we look more likely to concede a goal rather than score one on our corners lol.
I do hope assaidi does work out but as of now i dont think he has.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Very true but i'd take sturridge out wide cos for me michu is sitting right behind suarez lol

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sturridge so far it's fair to say has been a underachiever bags of talent but what i've seen of him makes poor choices with his final ball,12 mill is a gamble.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yep, only for that reason I would take Sturridge over Michu as well, as I want Suarez to play where he is already playing and would rather bring in someone for the wide position. Anyhoo, I'd rather have gone for Dembele, which was the player I wanted last summer, instead of Michu or Sturridge.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Michu is a foreign player (of spanish origin), talented(scored 15+ goals last season) and cheap(cost 2 mil only) which so does not fit our ingenious transfer policy of signing players from england who are overrated at ridiculously inflated prices...

    ReplyDelete
  34. Jheeze, this "Lucas" example is so frigging boring! The guy was below par for years, not just a few months/a single season.

He deserved the early criticism that he received at least as much as Adam/Downing/Carroll etc have more recently.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Atleast with dembele our midfield wouldnt get bullied around

  36. Who cares about Rafa? He is not the MANAGER of Liverpool. So why even bother posting this on this site. Go support Chelsea. Sick of Rafa this Rafa That. He is never coming back.

  37. The point is right there in your statement - "of the season".
It's not a discussion of lifetime achievements

    ReplyDelete
  38. Am I the only person that remembers Sturridge banging in goals on a pretty consistent basis while playing out wide for Chelsea under AVB last season??

    ReplyDelete
  39. Karim what exactly has Sterling done to make him so difficult to replace he may be an absolute star of the future but is still a long way off.

  41. Averaged around 1 in 3 games, with a few assists too, in a superior side. Which is decent but hardly something to write home about.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Obviously you don't follow / watch Epl games. This guy Michu scores goals in the PL. And he is not even a striker, So why would he replace Sturridge, Suarez and Sterling. Clueless post man.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The fact that Swansea got him, seems to me that not many teams fancied him. I think he will fade, i could be wrong though. Until now he has done very well. I wish we had better scouts

    ReplyDelete
  44. The manager sees him week in and week out. If you say you back BR then you must trust his opinion on the players he has. There must be some reason why he doesn't play

    ReplyDelete
  45. You have a funny perception of reality.
What do you mean nobody wanted Diame?

The reason Diame was lined up for Liverpool was because of the crippling effect of Lucas's injury on the team.
Lots of people were calling for another DM as cover after our season imploded.
Thats why Kenny lined him up for Liverpool.
It was prudent, and should have been followed through.

And yes, for me, Michu is the signing of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  46. What worries me is that BR says he doesn't see any more immediate signings. I think we all agree that we are 2-3 players short for the rest of the season

    ReplyDelete
  47. how can you call Swansea an inferior team, Jaimie Kanwar and Liverpool wake up and smell the coffee and stop living on past experience

    ReplyDelete
  48. We may talk about this again in a year or two. I understand why Man U spent that much on a player who's done the business for years in the Prem. Michu was more of a risk and may turn out to be a one season wonder. Should he do the business, he may well be the deal of the decade.

    ReplyDelete
  49. what about suarez hes been outstanding noy saying the player of the year ,but got to be in with a shout

    ReplyDelete
  54. Jamie, I don't agree Swansea are not an inferior team. They are a smaller club with less funds but the team plays great attractive fooball. I agree Michu was an absolute bargain. I watch Swansea because its local football for me, as I can't afford the cost or time to watch Liverpool week-in, week out. Michu is actually a No.10 not a striker. He plays better as a support striker with great technical skills. He would suit Liverpool and he will without doubt be playing for a top team in Europe within 18 months. He has a good engine, and is reasonble both in the air and on the ground. I can't think of another player that has caught my eye for less than £ 5m in the premiership. Liverpool scouting system has been improved this year thankfully !!!!!, so lets hope for a few talented low cost purchases over the next 18 months. Can a club of Liverpool size buy low cost footballers without severe criticism from the fans ?.

    ReplyDelete
  55. "Van Persie is a fantastic player, BUT??? he already has years of Premier league experience"

does that somehow make him a worse player/signing than Michu? Michu was the 3rd highest scorer in the La Liga, so he was hardly an unknown, I've had him in and out of my fantasy team since day 1.

Difference in value of the transfer is £22 million, when you look at the kind of money and success that RVP will bring UTD, you have to say even at £24 million it looks like a bargain.

Michu is class though, however it may be RVP that decides the title, and for that reason you would have to say that he is the signing of the season.

Good to see Liverpool performing better recently, give Rodgers time and Liverpool will soon be up there challenging RVP & Co soon enough!

  56. Did you see his goal last night?

    ReplyDelete
  57. Suarez is the best player in the league right now, if he was at one of the top clubs in Spain, he'd be lauded by everyone. As it happens, he's with us and the (scared of Fergie) media lambast him as much as they can, even before he signed for us. I wonder what Tony Pulis thought of his first goal last night when he was fouled (the linesman almost broke his flag, he was waving it so much) but he stayed on his feet and fired in a cracking goal. THAT should have been the headlines this morning, after QPR's win, of course, as he's the first name in print whenever he does something wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  58. As a Swansea fan I can understand the doubts about Michu at a big club. He fits our style, as do all our players, but would any of them thrive somewhere else? I think the jury is still out on Joe Allen. Thing is Rodgers got too much credit for what happened down here, he didn't build it, he justv tweaked it a bit, same as Laudrup is doing now.
Where BR is spot on is that he'll need all 3 years to turn Liverpool around, your problems run deeper than just 2/3 players and your style. Transfer policy has been a mess, too much spent on flash in the pan players (don't need to name them!!) and too much change.
You need stability, give BR time. But you don't need to pay vast sums to get good players. You need your own individual "Liverpool way" back again. You had it once but it got lost somewhere along the way. We have our way down here in Swansea, find your path again lads and all will come good.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I like the point, but Allen is Welsh, and Borini is Italian. They have a long way to go to be as good as Michu !.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Michu reminds me of Inzhagi during the last few years - He does not have any eye-catching performances, though he is always in the right place at the right time.

If he can keep having this positional "luck" he can go on a while more. If his positioning is due to luck rather than talent though, this is his last prolific season.

For this season - he is undoubtly the signing of the season, effective-wise(as opposed to performance-wise).

    ReplyDelete
  61. I think that if we want to continue to play Suarez where he is already, we need a striker, not a wide man. Don't we want someone in front of him when he takes the ball outside the box occupying at least one defender so he can get more space and someone closer to the goal to pass to? It seems to me that the reason some of our attacks are ineffective is that when Luis takes the ball 30 yards from goal all defenders are ready to step up to help the one guarding him, and wingers running in is just not enough- it is either to slow or it simply takes one defender to cover or good movement for the offside trap.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The Liverpool way got lost when a certain Spaniard came in

    ReplyDelete
  63. Suarez is often too quick for our players, so without a striker sometimes it's him vs their defence...

    ReplyDelete
  64. We hate and trash each other and we are all on the same side, how come you are so polite?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Suarez is playing as the main striker, albeit, a unorthodox one. He does float from the central striker role but that does not mean he isn't play as the central striker. Different ways to skin a cat, i.e., different ways to execute the main striker role and the way Suarez does it is great. He wouldn't be playing where he is now, if he was playing behind another striker. Like I said in another thread, it is up to the wide players and the attacking mid/s to attack the space that Suarez creates. Suarez is kind of playing the false nine role. It has worked (to varying degrees and maybe somewhat tinkered interpretations) for other teams in the past such as Roma (best side to watch in Europe that season they did it under Spalletti. I wanted him or Klopp as manager for us), Barca (Ok, Messi is a one-off but still counts), Man United (they won the CL with that system, with a counter attacking version of the false nine sytem with Ronaldo as the false nine) and Arsenal (they were doing great with it for the first half of the season but when Cesc and RVP got injured, they had to give it up. RVP was great as the false nine). Even Spain have used it with Cesc. It is not often used, this unorthodox system but when executed right, it can be rewarding and great to watch. Not saying our system is like those examples but its a variation of it, with the way Suarez creates space as the main striker and Rodgers is on record as to describing him as a false nine. We need our wide players and attacking mid/s to attack the space better and exploit it, that is created by Suarez's false nine-like movement. That is where Sturridge's finishing can come into play, when coming in from wide positions. Suso is far too tentative and indecisive to be such a goal threat from wide. Sterling needs work on it too but like Suso, he is young and raw. Suarez may still be effective used in a different manner but he is doing a great job of the current role in the current system that, for me, its a big 'no' to playing Suarez behind another striker, for now.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Agreed! Swansea have been higher than Liverpool for the whole session before this weekend and minus games in hand positioning! If Swansea are "inferior" what does that make Liverpool?

    ReplyDelete
  67. We'll pass on the coffee and go straight to the hard stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Suso is best as am, which he is- right? Very well explained, as always but Suarez is in my opinion often too fast for our attackers and gets in position of being alone vs all. Our formation under BR will always be some variation of something(a good thing, if we can make it work), and all of our attackers will have to exchange places but I hope that D.S. will gravitate to the box more than others... Soon we will find out, and I have a feeling it will be great...

  71. Comment of the day!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Don't know his age but if Liverpool even show interest in a player these days it's because he is very cheap and young. Value for money is the game these days.

    ReplyDelete
  73. That was uncalled for, you are right.

    ReplyDelete
  74. The deal Eric, that's what smelled Rotten. Rodgers got a cheap player with average skills  and is now not playing him because he can't make the team. No  surprise here: he was cheap for a reason.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I didn't watch much of him at Ajax but there he was playing as a wide forward quite a lot I think. For Uruguay, he mostly plays up front or wide role, not often the second-striker/attacking midfield role (which is where Forlan plays quite a bit in and Ramirez). If someone asked me where Suarez plays, based on the little I've seen for Ajax and Uruguay as well as what we have seen. imo, I don't think I would say attacking midfielder/second striker, more like up front or wide forward. For me, he does his best work drifting from central to wide positions or vice versa but not in deep central positions, imo, which makes me have doubts as to whether he would be better off in a second-striker/AM role. I don't know, it doesn't seem to be written in stone that he is best as a AM yet or any role yet.

Yep, that is what Sturridge has over our other wide players, that killer instinct to home in on goal. Its just the other parts of his game I worry about, as to why I'm not a fan of him. But yes, he could add something from wide positions we desperately lack at the moment.

I'm a fan of a false-nine system (partially why I wanted Spalletti) and I hope it works, although we need a bloody plan B too, Brendan!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Every Liverpool fan in their heart knows this but some of them like me has ran out of patience. I don't think BR is the man to turn around Liverpool completely. If we improve and stabilize in 3 seasons and finish 5-6th consistently....then I think BR should be moved on and a top manager should take over Liverpool to finally bring us where we belong. For BR this is too big a job.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Heh... This is my first(and will be the only) blog/chat kind of thing and it is really annoying how hard can it be understanding people.. It is not "the last chance" for Sturridge, but I think he understands that he was already supposed to be great player and that he will be a lamb willing to adopt and learn(and give up selfishness, enough to put the team first)- if that is what you worry about..

    ReplyDelete
  78. if suarez continues this form and finishes in 30 goal vein. he is in contention to be best player in world. i said in contention, not winner before anyone gets to whine. of course Messi will win it for like the tenth time in row.

suarez, could easily be best foreign player in england.  And i am thoroughly enjoying watching him play first undisrupted season. His passion and vision, magical first touch.

too bad we are bound to lose him come summer. i hope the "reported" clause in his contract says 60million.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Very true. FSG like English young players and are convinced they are the best investment so they sanction those kind of players when much cheaper and better players are available. But dont take the blame when their signings fail. But go out and make the same mistakes, because they dont learn from their mistakes.

  83. if michu fade's then so what, the team he plays for are currently only a few points short of safety, so could be argued a case of job done. Why wait til the last few games of any season to guarentee survival, bring a guy in from spain with a level of lass allied to the fact so few would know aout him and get the points in the bag early. Other teams- liverpool for example may have other ambitions, but Swansea just want to survive and do so on a rather modest budget! Signing of the season so far- without a shadow of doubt! Michu is also young, technically very gifted and is likely to represent the Spain in a few weeks- in itself a huge achievement!

Correct me if I'm wrong Jamie, but you have already written an article on Michu!?

    ReplyDelete
  87. I see what you're saying, but I wholeheartedly agree with BR and SG. They're only stating the obvious. It is true that he's 23 years old and if he doesn't perform then his career may plummet. I'm sure Sturridge himself is aware of this and he won't be affected by all the headlines of him being on his last warning right now. Besides, Rodgers also took the time to say that he acknowledges this

BBC : "He can score...pace...power...hungry...HE RECOGNISES this might be his chance at a big club and he has to produce. I am looking forward to working with him."

SkySports : "We are bringing in a player who KNOWS he has to perform if he wants to be at one of the biggest clubs in the world and this is probably his last chance. I have every FAITH that over his time here he will prove a real hit and it gives us another attacking threat at the top end of the field."

I don't think that Rodgers saying that this may be his last chance at a big club should matter to him. I believe that what's more important is how Rodgers finishes off his take on the signing - by saying that he has every faith in Sturridge being a hit. This can only fill Sturridge's boots with extra confidence and I'm sure his manager having belief in him is all that matters.

    All the best Daniel, YNWA

  89. Michu has been the singing of the year in my books. 2mil, and almost as many goals as Van Persie. Van Persie is the second best one IMO, regardless of his price.

Thing to add though, Michu is a hindsight player, now he has worked out, for everyone saying, ohh we could have signed him, clearly it is only with hindsight he looks a steel, no other top team wanted him, so I don`t think it is any knock on us or anyone. For every cheap Michu, there is 10 that fail. It is only because he worked out, that people now say, our scouts were rubbish for not finding him, or our people rubbish for not getting him. It is easy to compare deals, and say we could have signed this guy for same cash, but although the fact is true, it misses the point that we are only picking the ones who worked out, and there is no way any club only signs almost unknown players who work out every time.

  95. 1. I don't remember us being linked with him once, I think you've just made that up.
    2. There is no way that we would have cost us £2 million. If we had been interested that would have added at least another 5 million to the price.
    3. He is good but needs to do it over several seasons. Look at Cisse at Newcastle for example. Been poor this season.....

  99. Wishful thinking. Don't think we stand a chance. Price will go to the most prolific commentator. Now, we post a lot, but basically we are on each others throat most of the time. That's hardly prolific. Good luck anyway.

  100. Hey i was all for the Diame signing when it was happening. He was Free, Experienced and would have added a real physical threat to our midfield without lucas.
BUT wherever i looked (even on this forum) loads of liverpool supporters were saying He's not good enough, Why would we want him.
Thats the point im making. All people want to see players like Messi signed but are quick to point out the far cheaper options that we missed.

  101. Thats exactly right. We dont know, Assaidi might be the laziest trainer in the squad.

  103. He is a as you say a 'good' (an understatement if ever there was one) and getting better year on year.. wouldn't mind having spent Joe Cole's wages for 5 months to have him in at our club !!!

You make a few valid points bout players who hit 'purple patches' in the PL but Michu ??

With Celta he scored 6 and 7 league goals respecitvely in the season before he joined Ryao .. where he went on to become top scoring midfielder in La Liga last year with 15 !! 13 goals thus far with swansea, granted in a more advanced role, but that doesn't look like a 'purple patch' to me .. but a REALLY GOOD player getting better and better season on season..

And for 2 million !! seriously ?? How can anyone in this day and age be over-rated at 2 million !!

  104. Sorry Callum but if have to understand the higher expectation, demands on the players and being always under the spotlight would be more intense at Liverpool. Forget a few results as they are relatively meaningless.

  105. His best position is as a central striker," Rodgers, quoted in various newspapers, said of Sturridge. "I have said 4-3-3 will become richer because of the type of players and there is not one way to play 4-3-3."

He added: "You can have one up and two wingers, a floating nine like Luis Suarez, or you can have one like Daniel Sturridge playing centrally, with two in and around him playing narrow and full backs bombing on.
I really hope this is quotation and something out of the context(do think your newspapers are serious enough).

  106. had my eyes closed no of course i did but 1 goal does not make a superstar.

  107. Yep, said he is open to moving Suarez to a narrow wide forward role (he also said moving Suarez to the no.10 role as well), a bit like how he played at Ajax. Rather he left Suarez where he is but Sturridge's best position is up front and his strength is his finishing. Not keen on the idea but Suarez is a lot more flexible, in terms of what positions he can play in and execution of that versatility, than Sturridge. Suarez has a lot more to his game than Sturridge and gives more to the team's attacking play, whatever position he plays in. So I see why he is open to moving Suarez around and putting Sturridge in a position where he is most comfortable in. But I'd rather Sturridge went wide for this season and Suarez left where he is.

Defensively, it will be interesting to see how it works with Suarez wide as to how our full backs cope with it as he won't always track back as he will take risks going forward as that is part of his game, which means the central midfield trio will have to do a good job in covering the full back. It does seem like this transfer has been key to Rodger's long term tactical plans.

  108. Yes, defensevly it will be much, much different. When Luis does come back and help- everybody is much more intimidated, so that might help... And I think that 3-5-2 might be good idea sometimes(so does BR) and I would use it vs utd, just don't know which would be better as third cb, and is either good enough- Carra or Coates.

  109. Just asking this site always talks about rafa .and please don't tell people what team to support.i don't want to see any one talk about a former Liverpool manager again if that's the case his Spanish the same has rafa. 112. dude,he's only here for a season for crying out loud..you don't go and rate someone base on his first season...if he could escape the infamous second-season-syndrome,then you can guys can freely labeled him in the same class as RVP
