VIDEO: Everton 0-2 Liverpool. Goals by Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez

After Dirk Kuyt missed a penalty and Jack Rodwell was unfairly sent off, Liverpool went on to beat Everton with goals from Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez.

Liverpool were arguably poor in the first half, but the introduction of Steven Gerrard and Craig Bellamy saw the team finally capitalise on the one-man advantage.

  1. So let's hear it...

Kenny is the wrong man, Carroll is useless, Downing is a overpaid englishman and we managed to beat our neighbours with one man down with Kuyt on the right. Carra is passed it and Henderson is rubbish.

    Come on, lets hear it.

  12. Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Carragher, Skrtel, Kuyt, Downing, Lucas, Adam, Carroll, Suarez.

3 of Rafa's signings were played and no other of his signings made the bench. It is called an overhaul of the squad if you did not notice.

  13. Sorry 4 including Lucas...

Expect Skrtel to be sold in the 2012/2013 window and we will also sign a natural RW as I expect to Kuyt to find a home somewhere else at the start of next season. Maxi is as good as gone, he will leave in the January window.

  14. 5 of Rafas signings played Reina,Kelly,Skrtle,Kuyt and Lucas and these 5 were head and shoulders above the rest, did Downing contribute anything at all.Apart from the goal Carroll was ineffective,Adam is not fit enough for this level and you will find Rafa would have signed Suarez if hed still been in charge as he was the one who first spotted him.

  18. Couple of points, the difference today was composure

    - Bellamy showed great composure to direct Enrique down the line and put a lovely ball inside fullback

    - Referees are totally constrained by the guidelines they are given, it's a horrible job, they see incidents in real time and need to make impossible decisions. They inevitably get some wrong, but get slated no matter what

    - Rodwell red was harsh but did he need to slide in? He had just gotten away with a yellow card offence already, Fellaini should've been booked for a bad tackle on Lucas, Hibbert also should've seen yellow for late tackle on Adam, Cahill was lucky to only get yellow for high tackle on Adam

    - Liverpool were composed, rarely giving the referee the opportunity to book them by rashly sliding / jumping into tackles

I'd say it was hammered home all week

Everton do amazingly well in general when we compare the resources the difference in resources available to each side, I have huge respect for Moyes and the Everton squad. They seem to have the monopoly on local talent, hopefully we can change that soon

  19. Did you not notice I WROTE KING KENNY what more do you want!
We are playing attacking footballer again and not relaying on counter attacking football or two banks of 4 like under Rafa and Houllier.
Rafa is a great manager but is to technical and should of just played his strongest team like Kenny did today with Kuyt back on the right.

  21. Good result, decent performance, bad refereeing decision. As Ice Cube would say: today was a good day.
