Confirmed Teams: Massive injury boost; 'Brilliant' €65m Liverpool duo left out; danger man benched

How predictable: Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has left Daniel Sturridge on the bench for today's Premier League clash with Southampton.

FULL TEAM: Mignolet, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Can, Lucas, Wijnaldum, Coutinho, Firmino, Origi.

SUBS: Karius, Moreno, Grujic, Sturridge, Alexander-Arnold, Lallana, Klavan.

SOUTHAMPTON: Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Stephens, Bertrand, Davis, Ward-Prowse, Romeu, Tadic, Boufal, Gabbiadini

* Despite an impressive cameo against Watford, and six days of rest, Sturridge remains on the bench for today's game. If he's on the bench, then he's obviously fit, so why not start him?

* Lallana is also on the bench, which is probably a good decision after being rushed back prematurely last week (due to Coutinho's injury).

* On the subject of Coutinho - the good news is that the Brazilian has shaken off his injury, and is fit enough to start the game.

* For some reason, Nathan Redmond is on the bench for Southampton, which is good news for Liverpool as he has played well against the Reds in previous games this season.

Probable formation:

------------- Mignolet
Clyne --- Lovren - Matip ---- Milner
--- Can ----- Lucas -- Wijnaldum
-- Origi --- Firmino -- Coutinho

Liverpool have lost three of the last four games against Southampton, and a win today will go a long way towards securing a precious top four place. Can the Reds do it...?

* Lallana/Sturridge: Combined €65m value (CIES). Hailed as 'brilliant' by Alan Shearer.
