Talks Held: Liverpool close to sealing deal for 'unbelievable' £80k-a-week Brazilian; further talks schedule

Liverpool's longest serving player is reportedly gearing up for a move away from Anfield this summer.

According to reports in Turkey this week:

* Galatasaray Manager Igor Tudor has asked the club's board to try and sign Lucas.

* Initial talks have been held, and a further meeting is scheduled

Lucas has been regularly linked with Galatasaray over the last year:

* Jul 2016: Turkish news outlet Fotomac claimed: "Galatasaray have reached an agreement for Lucas, and the clubs will talk again today to agree a deal on wages".

* Aug 2016: Galatasaray official Levent Nazifoglu revealed: "We've spoken personally with Lucas Leiva. He asked for one more day".

Jurgen Klopp reportedly vetoed the deal, and when asked in October about Galatasaray, Lucas noted:

“There were a few exit opportunities, but they ended up not happening".

Lucas further hinted this week that he'll leave this summer if his 'playing' time continues to decrease:

"I [will] make a decision together with the club [at] the end of the season. I have been here long enough, and if the time comes for me to go, I will leave with the feeling that I did everything I could.

In my view, Lucas should leave. Klopp only keeps him around to plug gaps in the squad, but at Galatasaray, he'll have a big chance of being the go-to guy in central midfield.

On a related note, Klopp confirmed on Thursday that Lucas has a 'muscle problem', and may miss Sunday's game with Crystal Palace.
