He's Out: 'Brilliant' €35m Liverpool star out of Everton game; missed training with injury

As expected, one of Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is out of Saturday's Premier League clash with Everton.

Henderson hasn't featured for Liverpool since February 11th, and according to the Liverpool Echo:

"Jordan Henderson has lost his battle to be fit for the Merseyside derby after he missed training once again on Thursday".

After 6 weeks out already, plus more time needed on the sidelines until he's able to start actual training, it may be the end of April/early May before Henderson returns to the starting lineup.

There's also a possibility that Hendo's season could be over. It'll take time to get back up to full match fitness, and at this stage of the season, time is one thing he doesn't have.

Historically, Liverpool's results tend to suffer without Henderson, but the tide has turned during his current injury, and the Reds are actually doing better without him.

* 6 games before Hendo's injury: W1 D2 L3 F6 A8

* 4 Games after Hendo's injury: W2 D1 L1 F7 A6

The margins are small, but results have still improved, and that's good to see after previous negative results during Henderson's injury absences. Hopefully, the club's recent good form will continue against Everton tomorrow.

* €35m-rated (CIES Football Observatory). Described by Steven Gerrard as 'excellent'.
