Liverpool are reportedly considering a summer move for one of Espanyol's most promising young players.
According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo this week:
"Liverpool are closely following Marc Navarro, who has €25m termination clause in his contract".
Some info about Navarro:
* 21-year old right-back. Contract expires: 2021
* Espanyol: 4 senior apps. 3 goals/assists, which is impressive for a right-back, but Navarro claims: "The goals are just a big bonus - my job is to defend".
* Jan 2016: Suffered a cruciate ligament injury, and spent 6 months on the sidelines.
* Jan 2017: Sports director Jordi Lardín enthused: "He [Navarro] is good offensively, but defensively he is also very good. He has a great shot and a powerful physique. He's a very talented footballer".
* Jan 2017: Espanyol boss Quique Sanchez Flores enthused: "All you have is work and effort and he [Navarro] knows that this profession is not easy. It is wonderful to have this type of player".
* Jan 2017: When asked about his future, Navarro told reporters: "I want to stay for many years in Espanyol. I am living the dream".
Under Klopp, Clyne - when fit - is a nailed-on starter, and with Alexander-Arnold coming through, the Reds have decent cover in the the right-back position. Left-back is the area that needs the most attention, so if the Reds are going to spend €20m+ on a full-back it should surely be on a left-back, not a RB with practically zero experience.
