Next Coutinho? 'Incredible' €90k-a-week Brazilian sensation responds to 'Liverpool' transfer rumours

One of Liverpool's current transfer targets has responded to growing speculation about a summer transfer to Anfield.

Last week, a report posted on the official LFC website claimed that Liverpool reps flew out to France to watch Bordeaux striker Malcom, who recently admitted that he 'wants to play for a big club in the Champions League'.

When asked on Sunday about a possible move to the Premier League, Malcom told reporters:

“This thing of Liverpool, Manchester - I’m very calm. I only think about Bordeaux today. I want to do my job well and give French fans joy".

Some info about Malcom:

* 19-year old right-winger, who can also play LW, and number-10. Contract expires: 2020.

* Bordeaux: 12 goals/assists in 42 apps (One every 223 mins).

* Corinthians: 12 goals/assists in 54 apps (One every 308 mins)

* Scouting Report: "Technically excellent. Difficult to catch with/without the ball. Nailed down Bordeaux's RW position. Will be difficult to oust from the team. Developing into a top-class talent".

* Reportedly on €90k-a-week after Bordeaux reportedly quadrupled his initial €23k-a-week deal to ward off interest from Barcelona

* Dec 2016: Bordeaux boss Jocelyn Gourvennec raved: "When Malcom is good, the team is good too. He is a different player, serious, very comfortable technically and who sees very well the game. Bordeaux needs him at his best because he has an incredible talent."

As a general rule, you can never have enough exciting Brazilian footballers in a team, but Malcom's creative stats for both Corinthians and Bordeaux are pretty average. I'd prefer to see him prove his consistency over a couple of seasons before coming to the Premier League.
