Next Mane? Klopp keen to sign 'brilliant' £20m title winner as part of Liverpool transfer overhaul

Jurgen Klopp is reportedly preparing to pick the bones out of relegation-threatened Leicester City during the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to the Daily Mail:

"Liverpool are monitoring Leicester’s Demarai Gray as they start to formulate their plans for a summer overhaul".

Liverpool were last linked with Gray back in 2014, and at the time, the Mail reported:

"Birmingham City [are] braced for bids from Premier League clubs for Demarai Gray, with Liverpool, Tottenham and Crystal Palace monitoring his situation".

Some info about Gray:

* 20-year old left-winger. Can also play on the RW. Contract expires: 2020

* Leicester: 2 goals/6 assists in 41 apps (Goal every 727 mins. G/A every 181 mins.

* Birmingham: 8 goals/4 assists in 78 apps (One every 415 mins).

* Jan 2016: Martin O'Neill raved: "He is brilliant at taking players on, coming from the left into one vs one. It doesn't matter to him who he is up against he will take them on".

Another young, inexperienced attacker with no track record? That's just what Liverpool need to take the club to the next level! If this story is true, it just shows yet again that the Reds are planning to persist with the failed 'buy 'em young' policy, which continued to yield zero results for the club. Liverpool need the finished article in several positions, not more players with potential to come good in 4-5 years.

According to ex-Birmingham boss, Gray is worth '£20m, but for what? His stats are below average for both Leicester and Birmingham, and although he's only 20, that kind of money can be spent better elsewhere.
