Can Liverpool finally get back to winning ways today?
The Reds face an away trip to Hull City, and ahead of the game, here is the confirmed team news so far:
* On Thursday, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that Liverpool have no new injury worries (how refreshing!)
* This basically means that - bar Danny Ings - Klopp has a fully fit squad from which to choose.
* As for Hull: Liverpool misfit Lazar Markovic is out of the game as Premier League rules prohibit a loanee from playing against his parent club.
* Hull also have a long list of injuries. According to the Hull Daily Mail: "Curtis Davies and Markus Henriksen are unlikely to play again before April, while Moses Odubajo. Will Keane, and Ryan Mason, are already turning their attentions towards next season".
Hull City are 19th in the Premier League table, and have the second worst defensive record in the league (47 goals conceded). This is a must win game for Liverpool, and given the massive disparity in finances and quality, it's surely inconceivable for the Reds to lose this game.
A draw isn't good enough. Liverpool need to win, and in my view, nothing less than a victory is acceptable for a team with genuine ambitions of finishing in the top four. My preferred lineup:
--------------- Mignolet
Clyne ---- Lovren -- Matip -- Milner
-- Lallana ---- Hendo --- Wijnaldum
--- Mane ----- Firmino -- Coutinho
The bad news is that Liverpool have won only once in four visits to the KC Stadium, with two defeats and a draw from the other three games. Can Liverpool get three points today?
^ Markovic: Hailed as 'fantastic' by Jordan Henderson last season. Cost Liverpool £20m
