I Want LFC: 'Outstanding' £30m star desperate for Liverpool transfer; told friends he wants move

One of Liverpool's alleged transfer targets is reportedly keen on a move to Anfield.

Liverpool have been linked with Hart several times this season, and last week, The Mirror claimed

"Joe Hart could make an amazing Premier League return with a move to Liverpool. The Reds are watching developments closely and the 29-year-old could be interested in a move to Anfield".

Now, according to Sky Sports:

"Man City 'keeper Joe Hart is keen on a return to the Premier League, and has told friends he would jump at the chance to join Liverpool"

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has been campaigning hard for the Reds to sign Hart, and he's publicly supported the signing on three separate occasions over the last month. Indeed, when asked last week about Liverpool's goalkeeper situation, Carra enthused:

"If somebody said to me, 'you can go and get Joe Hart,' I would do it. If I was Jurgen Klopp I would do it. If they get the chance to get a goalkeeper with Premier League titles, you do it."

Liverpool fans don't appear to be so enthused, though. I conducted a poll last month asking if Jurgen Klopp should sign Hart, and 59% of participating fans voted NO to the deal.

In my view, Hart is not a significant upgrade on Mignolet, and right now, the Belgian is putting in solid performances (3 clean sheets in 4 games; only one goal conceded), so there's no real need to bring in Hart.

* Described by Brendan Rodgers as an 'outstanding' goalkeeper. Reportedly on £120k-a-week
