Liverpool are reportedly battling to sign one of Uruguay's most coveted young attackers.
According to The Express today:
"Liverpool are locked in a transfer battle with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for Uruguayan midfielder Juan Manuel Sanabria. Liverpool have firmly registered their interest with Nacional".
In 2015, ex-Reds boss Brendan Rodgers invited Sanabria (a left-footed winger) for a 10-day trial at Liverpool's Academy, but for whatever reason, the club decided against bringing the Nacional attacker to Anfield. Here is a picture of Sanabria during his trial:

Liverpool signed both Luis Suarez and Sebastian Coates from Nacional, so there's a good transfer relationship already in place. This is clearly one for the future, though - Sanabria - nicknamed 'The Magician' - is 16, so he obviously won't have any impact this season (or next). Plus, he'll need to get a work permit, which could take years.
In other words: Meh.
