Confirmed Team News: €56m Liverpool duo out; 'nervous' outcast starts; 'brilliant' LFC star returns

Liverpool face Southampton tomorrow in the EFL semi-final, and ahead of the game, there is already plenty of confirmed team news.

* Klopp on Karius: "It’s pretty likely I would say that Loris plays again. It's fair for his response in training, performances and all that stuff".

Klopp on Henderson: "He [Hendo] is in a good way. He's mentally strong, but it's still painful. Hopefully, he'll be back in team training on Thursday".

* Klopp on Milner and Matip: "Joel took his first steps, if you want, in team training. Millie has no issues anymore.".

* Puel on Fonte: "Jose will not participate for this game. We'll see for the next game. It's important to keep stability".

* Puel on Boufal: "Sofiane Boufal has a knee injury, and he cannot go to the Africa Cup. He will stay with us to recover".

So: based on Klopp's comments, it looks like Hendo, and Matip will miss the game (Henderson not back in training until Thursday; Matip has not trained consistently yet), with 'brilliant' Milner likely to return to the starting lineup. With Man Utd to come on Sunday, Klopp has some difficult choices to make here. Will he go 100% full-strength, or keep some players back in reserve for Sunday? Possible lineup:

---------------- Karius
Clyne ---- Lovren -- Klavan --- Milner
----- Stewart --- Can --- Wijnaldum
--- Lallana ---- Firmino --- Origi

Hendo and Matip: €56m-rated combined (CIES Football Observatory. Karius: Described as 'nervous' by Gary Neville
