Massive Boost for Liverpool: 'Brilliant' £100k-a-week star cleared for Anfield return [Photo Proof]

With Sadio back in training after a recent injury scare, there's more good news today on the injury front.

According to the Liverpool Echo:

"Joel Matip [has taken part] in a [training] session at Melwood today. Matip - who missed the weekend defeat at Bournemouth - returned to team training at the Centre D'Alt Rendiment de Sant Cugat in Barcelona on Tuesday".

After the defensive horror show at Bournemouth, this is obviously great news for Liverpool. With Matip in the team:

* The Reds are yet to lose a game (10 wins in 13 games; 3 draws)

* Liverpool have conceded only 9 goals in 13 games (one every 130 mins), and kept five clean sheets.

* Without Matip, Liverpool have conceded 9 goals in 3 league games (Arsenal, Burnley, and Bournemouth).

Clearly, Matip is vitally important to Liverpool's defensive solidity, but Klopp needs to find a way to retain solidity without the 'brilliant defender as it's alarming how the defensive unit collapses in his absence.

Klopp better find a solution quick as there's a possibility that Liverpool may lose Matip to the African Cup of Nations in January...
