Reds legend Jamie Carragher has once again insisted that Liverpool need to replace one of Jurgen Klopp's summer signings.
In August, Carra admitted that he'd 'love to see Joe Hart come to Anfield', and he reiterated that view in early December, when he told Sky Sports:
"Joe Hart quality-wise, why not, of course you’d look at that situation whether he’s available or not. I’d certainly ask the question".
When asked this week about Liverpool's goalkeeper situation, Carra persisted with the view that Karius and Mignolet need to be replace:
"If somebody said to me, 'you can go and get Joe Hart,' I would do it. If I was Jurgen Klopp I would do it. If they get the chance to get a goalkeeper with Premier League titles, you do it."
Liverpool have been linked with Hart several times this season, and last week, The Mirror claimed
"Joe Hart could make an amazing Premier League return with a move to Liverpool. The Reds are watching developments closely and the 29-year-old could be interested in a move to Anfield".
Like Guardiola, Klopp appears to have a preference for ball-playing goalkeepers, and £30m-rated Hart is not the greatest with the ball at his feet. Plus, like his rampantly underachieving (and mentally weak) England cronies, Hart is tainted by endless failure on the international stage, and his mistakes played a big part in England's ignominious exit from Euro 2016.
In any event, after his experience at Man City, I doubt that Hart will sign for Liverpool unless he's guaranteed to be the club's number one, and I can't see Klopp dumping one of his own signings to make that guarantee.
