'Not Good Enough': Gary Neville blasts 'nervous' €18m Liverpool star after Bournemouth shocker

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has launched a stinging attack on Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius

After watching the German 'keeper conceded four goals in 45 minutes, Neville scathed:

"He [Karius] looks nervous, and he isn't good enough. Goalkeepers can transmit anxiety, and the likes of Karius and Stekelenburg, that's what they do. They basically do things that unsettle everybody. The challenge for Liverpool is the defence, but also the goalkeeper".

Is this a fair assessment? Perhaps. Over the last couple of months, Karius has been well-protected by Liverpool's defensive unit, but today, the German was put under sustained pressure for the first time this season, and he spectacularly failed to rise to the occasion.

The warning signs have been there for weeks, but the club's improved defensive performance has arguably papered over the cracks. Alas, today, it all came crashing down, particularly in the final minutes, when Karius's error giften Bournemouth an improbable winner.

Most fans will agree that Karius had a mare, but what's the solution? It's definitely *not* Simon Mignolet, and if the Belgian is the answer to Liverpool's goalkeeping issues, then someone is asking the wrong question.

In my view, Klopp has to stick with Karius, and I'm sure he will.
