Confirmed: 'Excellent' €25m attacker spoke with 'special' Liverpool star about transfer to Anfield. Sign?

Alberto Moreno is trying to convince one of Spain's newest internationals to ditch La Liga for Anfield.

In an interview on Monday, Sevilla winger Víctor Machín Pérez (aka 'Vitolo') told the Daily Mail:

"He [Moreno] tells me it [a move to Liverpool] would really suit me. Liverpool is a great club with a lot of history. One day I would like to try a league like the Premier League. Let's see what happens".

With Sadio Mane heading to the African Cup of Nations in January, Liverpool are reportedly in the market for cover on the wing, but is Vitolo - who claims Moreno is a 'special player - good enough for LFC? Some info about the 27-year old attacker:

* Right-winger, who can also play on the left. Contract expires: 2020.

* Nov 2016: Vitolo mused: "When I was a kid, we followed the fortunes of Manchester United and Liverpool".

* Sevilla and Las Palmas: 49 goals/46 assists (95) in 242 games (One every 198 mins). Winner of 3 Europa League titles.

* This season: 5 goals/assists in 18 apps (One every 296 apps). 3 goals in his last 3 games for Spain.

* Nov 2013: Spain boss Julien Loptegui's assessment: "He [Vitolo] has good technique, understands the game, and is physically good. He will be an important player for us."

* Nov 2013: On the difference between the Prem and La Liga: "Teams in Spain seem to be better tactically. Games in Spain are not so end-to-end. The success of Spanish teams in Europe is more a question of being right tactically than just having better players".

Vitolo averages 12km of running per game, so he's obviously an archetypal Klopp player (!) His end product, however, is average but who cares about goals and assists when he runs a marathon every game?

Reds fans can run the rule over €25m-rated Vitolo this week during Spain's friendly with England.

* Hailed as 'excellent' by Loptegui for his recent Spain performances
