Liverpool are reportedly considering a January move for Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep.
According to Italian newspaper Tutto Sport:
"With talks over a new deal stalling, Paul-Georges Ntep is wanted by Arsenal, Liverpool and Lazio".
Some info about €15m-rated Ntep, who is nicknamed the 'new Ribery':
* 24-year old left-winger, who can also play on the right. Contract expires: Jun 2017.
* Rennes: 16 goals/14 assists (30) in 75 games (One every 175 mins). 2 apps for the France national team.
* This season: 0 goals/4 assists in 9 apps.
* May 2015: L'Equipe claimed: "Ntep went to Liverpool twice to visit the club's facilities and training ground".
* Jul 2013: Arsene Wenger's assessment: "Paul George Ntep has the potential to have a great future. It all depends on his mind, but he is a great prospect".
* Sep 2016: Ntep revealed his frustration with being played out of position: "It's not my position. I find it [central striker] a bit simplistic, and it's not a position where I can develop myself. "
* On his best position: "My favourite position is left wing. I feel more comfortable coming inside onto my stronger right foot from that wing because I know I’ve got a big shot".
* On areas of improvement: "I’ve worked on my crossing on my left foot and that’s improved a lot. It’s something I’ve added to my game".
By all accounts, Ntep sounds like ideal cover for Sadio Mane, who will be away for up to a month during the African Cup of Nations.
