Anfield Alert: Boss urges 'exceptional' £20m Liverpool star to quit Anfield 'in January'

France boss Didier Deschamps has urged Mamadou Sakho to quit Liverpool during the January transfer window.

When asked this week about Sakho's international future, Deschamps told reporters:

"He [Sakho] has to find a solution by changing teams in January".

Lille are reportedly interested in signing Sakho, but ex-Red Mario Balotelli has suggested Nice as a possible destination.

Speaking to Telefoot on Saturday, Balotelli admitted that he speaks with Sakho 'from time time', and insisted that it's 'waste' to see the France defender stuck on the sidelines. He further added:

"He [Sakho] has to leave. I said to him: ‘If you want, come to Nice.' I am going to speak to him about it. In January, it would be good.”

Sakho continues to be unfairly marginalised by Klopp, and after such disproportionately harsh treatment, the best thing he can do is follow Balotelli's example, and try to resurrect his career elsewhere.

With seven goals in nine games for Nice, Balotelli is rejuvenated and revitalised in France, and Italy boss Giampiero Ventura this week confirmed that the Italian striker is close to a recall to the national team.

Perhaps Sakho can follow a similar template...?
