Confirmed Liverpool Team: Last-gasp injury blow; Klopp dumps 'exciting' £25m star; surprise start for utility man

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made one enforced change for today's Premier League clash with Watford.

FULL TEAM: Karius, Clyne, Matip, Lucas, Milner, Henderson, Can, Lallana, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho

SUBS: Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Ejaria, Origi, Sturridge

WATFORD: Gomes, Janmaat, Kaboul, Britos, Holebas, Capoue, Behrami, Pereyra, Amrabat, Deeney, Ighalo

* According to LFC: "Dejan Lovren misses out for Liverpool today due to a virus".

* Lucas comes in to replace Lovren, which is a little strange considering Klavan - an actual centre-back - is fit and available.

* Can keeps his place in the team at the expense of Wijnaldum, and it looks like the Dutchman is in for an extended spell on the bench.

* Sturridge is back on the bench, too, with Firmino once again preferred up-front.

* It's nice to see Ejaria on the bench, though he probably won't get any game time.

* Milner returns after his recent bout of illness, with Moreno dropping back to the bench.

Probable formation:

------------ Karius
Clyne --- Lucas - Matip ---- Milner
--- Lallana - Hendo --- Can
--- Mane ---- Firmino --- Coutino

Wijnaldum's recent relegation to the bench raises the possibility that Klopp actually signed him as a squad player. As soon as Emre Can was fully fit, he replaced the £25m signing, and Can appears to be the manager's preferred choice in midfield.
