Double Deal: Liverpool close to signing 'unbelievable' striker and flying full-back on long-term deals

Liverpool are reportedly close to agreeing deals with two of the club's brightest prospects.

According to the Daily Mail:

"Liverpool are negotiating [deals for] highly-rated local youngsters Ben Woodburn and Trent Alexander-Arnold [who] are close to confirming their signings".

Last week, the Echo claimed:

"Ben Woodburn has agreed his first professional contract [and] will [sign] a three-year deal, which is the longest contract a 17-year-old is allowed to sign".

Alexander-Arnold and Woodburn are certainly highly regarded, and that is evident from the usual effusive praise emanating from Anfield:

* Nathaniel Clyne on AA: "There’s a lot of good, young players out there. I see some of their games and they are doing really well. Trent Alexander-Arnold is another one who impresses".

* Michael Beale on AA: “He [AA] is young and playing ever so well. Speed, aggression, strength; he has it all. The confidence of training with the first team - you can see it in the development he has made".

* Neil Critchley on BW: “That was a moment of brilliance. An unbelievable piece of skill. He [Woodburn] was outstanding again, and it's a delight to work with him".

* Scout assessment of BW: "Liverpool have their successor to Fowler and Owen. Woodburn is a natural goalscorer, shows maturity beyond his years and is very quick. If he bulks up, he could be a gem who reaches first-team football".

Potential first-teamers, or will Alexander-Arnold and Woodburn go the same way as Rossiter, Sinclair, and Canos?
