Contact Made: 'Klopp' calls agent of 'brilliant' €50m attacker to discuss Liverpool transfer

Liverpool continue to be linked with Napoli attacker Lorenzo Insigne, and new reports suggest that the 'brilliant' attacker is keen on a move to Anfield.

Last week, TalkSport claimed:

* Napoli are planning to sell Insigne over his unreasonable salary demands, and both Liverpool are Spurs are interested.

* The club's Chief, Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped a €50m price tag on Insigne.

Speaking to Rai Sport last night, Italian football expert Ciro Venerato claimed:

"Insigne is tempted to leave. His agent has received a call from Jurgen Klopp, who has been following him for some time and is very interested in the player:".

Insigne is enduring a torrid time at Napoli this season, and he compounded his misery this week by missing a crucial penalty in a 3-2 Champions League defeat to Besiktas. Some info about Insigne:

* 25 year old left-winger who can also plays as a striker. Current contract expires: 2019.

* Napoli: 29 goals/41 assists (70) in 176 apps (Goal ever 356 mins. G/A every 147 mins)

* This Season: 0 goals/4 assists in 11 apps

* Jun 2013: On comparisons to Isco: "Isco is Isco and I am me. He’s a great player, but I do not think that I am worse than him.”

* Dec 2015: Insigne's agent told Radio Kiss Kiss: "We enjoy the interest from PSG and Arsenal. We’re talking about two clubs at the top of world football, but Lorenzo is focused on Napoli".

There's no way Napoli will get €50m, but if he's available for a reasonable price, is Insigne a viable target?
