Klopp to Sell? Euro giants keen to sign 'exceptional' €31m Liverpool star in January

Italian giants Juventus are reportedly considering a surprise January move for one Liverpool's strikers.

According to Calciomercato:

* Juve are interesting in signing Divock Origi during the January transfer window.

* Origi is Juve's 'number one target' to replace Mario Mandzukic.

After showing some promising signs last year, Origi has struggled to make an impact in the league this season, and the harsh truth is that Liverpool are thriving up-front without him.

For me, when it comes to transfers, the question (as always) is this: will Liverpool's forward progress be damaged and/or derailed by losing Origi? In my view, the answer is a resounding no.

None of Liverpool's strikers have scored in the league this season (Firmino is not a dedicated striker), and with Sturridge struggling for form, Origi has had the opportunity to move ahead in the pecking order.

He hasn't taken that opportunity, though, and with fewer games this season, he may struggle to get consistent opportunities before the January window opens.

If recent reports are true, Liverpool are tracking a number of strikers right now, including Andrea Belotti, Inaki Williams, and Alexander Isak; perhaps Klopp is already planning ahead?

* €31m-rated (CIES Football Observatory). Described as 'exceptional' by Owen Hargreaves.
