'Stunning': Gary Lineker hails £74m Liverpool-duo for 'beautiful' football against West Brom

England legend Gary Lineker has hailed Liverpool's beautiful football during today's 201 victory over West Brom.

After watching Sadio Mane score the sublime first goal at Anfield, Lineker raved:

"Stunning move by Liverpool, highlighted by a beautiful dummy from [Philippe] Coutinho, and finished perfectly by [Sadio] Mane"

Stunning indeed, and it's a goal that's sure to delight Jurgen Klopp, who recently confirmed that team goals containing great 'movement' are his personal favourites.

West Brom 'parked the bus' at Anfield, and clearly came to defend, but unlike the Man United game, the Reds found a way to breach the rearguard action, and both times, off-the-ball movement played a key part in unlocking a stubborn defence.

Have Liverpool have finally figured out how to beat ultra-defensive teams at home? That remains to be seen, but today's victory bodes well for future games against similarly defensive-minded teams.

Mane and Coutinho now have 15 goals/assists between them, which is 54% of the club's total goals (all competitions) this season.

* Mane: Cost £34m. Coutinho: £40m-rated.
