Confirmed Liverpool Team: Boss drops Captain; 'brilliant' €35m Liverpool star injured; bad news for Mignolet

After a week of insane hype, here are the starting line-ups for tonight's Premier League clash between Liverpool and Man Utd.

FULL TEAM: Karius, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Henderson, Can, Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Sturridge

SUBS: Mignolet, Moreno, Klavan, Lucas, Grujic, Lallana, Origi

MAN UTD. De Gea, Valencia, Bailly, Smalling, Blind, Fellaini, Pogba, Rashford, Herrera, Young, Ibrahimovic

SUBS: Romero, Rojo, Shaw, Carrick, Lingard, Mata, Rooney

* 'Brilliant' Wijnaldum is not in the matchday squad, so his injury is clearly more serious than expected.

* Lallana is back, but he only makes the bench. Clyne and Lovren are fit to start the game.

* Danny Ings is ignored once again, and doesn't even make the squad.

* Mourinho has dropped €29m-rated Wayne Rooney again, which is a minor surprise given the importance of the game, and his status as club captain.

* Juan Mata is also dropped, and after his great form this season, he has every right to feel aggrieved.

Probable formation:

-------------- Karius
Clyne ---- Lovren - Matip ----- Milner
------ Hendo --- Can --- Coutinho
----- Mane -- Sturridge -- Firmino

Based on the personnel, it looks like Coutinho will drop into central midfield, which means he'll probably spend much of the game tackling, tracking, and running, instead of focusing on doing what he does best.

Now, it's time for Liverpool's players to stop all the boasting and actually do the business on the pitch. Mane et al have talked the talked this week, but can they walk the walk?
